I've been wearing New Balance shoes for years, so these were a real disappointment. While they were fine in the toe-box and heel, the middle of the shoe was narrow and hurt my feet after an hour or so of wear. The shoes did not seem as flexible as previous versions either.

I am having to return this shoe. I wear orthotics, and have always worn 8.5 N New Balance shoes. The shoe was snug with the orthotics but I wasn't too worried. I wore them for 25 minutes on my elliptical machine and could hardly wait to take them off.

I am on my feet all day long and I have found that these shoes do not keep my feet from hurting at day's end. I have gone back to my Keens. It is not because the shoes are not good they just are not for me. I love the Keen insole. I wore the shoes for a week and then went back to my Keens.

According to New Balance, these are specifically for people with metatarsalgia issues. I have overload on two toes, and even with my orthodics these felt like I was standing on pavement. They are very uncomfortable. And the wide, which is what I always wear, was super wide and I could not tie the laces tight enough. I am sending them back. I got a pair of New Balance Rock and Tones which are much better for metatarsal issues. Although, Zappos rocks for quick delivery and easy returns!

So incredibly disappointed with these shoes. I wore them in the house for a day or so and they were OK, not great but I figured that they would be fine. However, after two days of walking in these on park roads (paved) I am almost limping. No support underneath and little on the sides. I expected so much better from New Balance. I read all the reviews but guess I need something more than those who reported how great these were. So now I have aching feet, no walking shoes and am out 100. I won't be ordering these types of things anymore from Zappos because there is too much variety in the reviews and you really can't tell until you wear them. Going to The Walking Company to get fitted now.

I am very disappointed in these shoes. They are a full size smaller then two other New Balance shoes I have bought. Stay away from them.

Just received these today. They look great, but there is absolutely no arch support. Sorry, but they are being returned for something else.

Way too wide and too long. I usually wear a size 6 extra wide but these shoes were enormous. First time this has ever happened to me. Had to return them. But service was excellent, as usual. Zappos makes ordering shoes for easy.

Not impressed, but actually sad. Bought these as recommended as a good walking shoe with my plantar fasciitis. Found there to be no deep heel cup, not much arch and tight at the toe. I must continue my search.
