I bought this shoe in anticipation of lots of walking for a future DisneyWorld trip. I took them on a test-run to SeaWorld San Diego and they were awesome! My heels were securely comfortable. Due to a severe underpronation, I usually feel pain at the side of my lower leg but this shoe prevented it all day. I\'m looking forward to walking for 7 straight days at DisneyWorld!

They are the most comfortable shoes of this type that I have ever worn. I could walk in them forever!

Thank goodness for Zappos! I have a hard to fit foot, and Zappos great policies help me find shoes that I can wear, especially for walking! I walk 4-5 miles a day and these shoes are one of the very few that I can wear. I have a wide foot with a high arch and instep. I was pleased and surprised that I finally found a walking shoe that I could wear without causing foot pain after the first 2 miles. I would give this shoe 5 stars except for the price and they cost a bit more, but for a shoe that I can wear, it's worth it. It's a great walking shoe and has plenty of room for those who wear orthotics, too!

The 846, which I am told replaces the 842 is larger in the toe box (much more volume than the 842--way more than needed for my foot width/size) and has an overall bulky/wide appearance by comparison.

The shoes are a little less sleek looking out of the box. Although they were comfortable right from the start I think they make my feet look big!

Always wore WW845. They don't make them anymore. This shoe - 846 was recommended but as a walking shoe it is awful. It is stiff and unbending. I have leg and foot pain at night after wearing them. Where can I get the 845?

This shoe had a wonderful feel and fit, with a nice wide toe box (suitable for bunions) and a heel that didn't slip. But there's not enough arch support, to the point where they fatigued my knees and legs. If they were less expensive I'd have kept them, but at this price must regretfully return.

Purchased these to replace almost the same shoe and both fit well but apparently have the same problem...no arch support! Had to purchase expensive inserts to compensate for that. Also, there's a "noise" that doesn't seem to be going away and it's pretty annoying. For the money, you shouldn't have to put up with "crunching" when you walk.

I'm a postal carrier and I go through shoes quite often. I've been pretty happy with new balance until I bought this pair WW846. The arch support is awful which then makes my feet hurt all day. Again I like new balance until I spent over and was very disappointed in the shoe.

I like this shoe but the padding under the ball of the foot is very minimal. However I have wide feet and the D width is great! I am going to have to add some gel insoles to them to offset the padding issue. I\'m a little disappointed in these as I expected more comfort.

I decided on this shoe because it was made in America. Unfortunately, I do not like the shoe. The shoe feels like hard, cheap plastic. I do not like the fit. Very disappointing.

These shoes are the "new" replacement for 845. They are now too pointy in the toes, have less support in the ball of the foot and they slip on the heel. I am returning them.

These are not as comfortable as the WW845. Had I saved the box I would return them. The size was good. My feet get very tired and hot. I can't wear them a full day. Very disappointed. Why they stopped making the WW845 is beyond me. Zappos still has the best customer service team ever.

I bought this shoe because it is wide and listed as a good walking shoe and I'm a nurse... walking constantly for a minimum of 10 hours per day. I wore the shoe for one day... 10 hours. I was too busy to notice my feet while I was working. After I got home the pain on my right side set in. I have an old healed injury in my right ankle. I was in serious pain from ankle to knee to hip to back on my right side. The shoe has no arch support. I ordered wide because I have a wide foot across the toes and a narrow heel, which the shoe also has. But... the middle part of the shoe is very, very wide. It is wide enough to allow for someone who has lots of edema or is obese. I am not obese and I have no edema. The middle part of the shoe has no support at all and no arch support no matter how tight you tie the laces. Consequently it allows and encourages eversion of the ankle. Quite painful. And since I wore the shoe for one day I cannot return them. Not happy that I spent the money on this shoe. Will be going back to Brooks Walking shoe....even the all vinyl Easywear clog has better support than these New Balance WW846.

These are very comfortable shoes. I stand up for 7½ hours and I needed comfortable shoes. These worked great!

I wear a size 10½, however these shoes ran a little small and I had to reorder in a size 11. The size 11 is very comfortable! I use them as work shoes as I have to remain continuously on my feet during a 12 hour shift. Zappos was excellent and I had no trouble returning the first pair.

This is my second pair. Very supportive, comfortable in Wide, and nice looking. Worth the money.

These New Balance WW846 are worth their weight in gold. 12D did what no other shoe has done. Walking on a cloud! My horses have walked on my toes too many times, but with these shoes, pure comfort.

I use these for walking. I ordered my size , then a size larger. My size was too small, and the next size is just a tiny bit too big. Still they are working out well. They're nice walking shoes. Very comfortable tons of cushioning, good support. I have a narrow foot and it's nice to have sneakers that fit, they do slip just a bit in the heel. Other than that they are perfect.

I love Zappos! This shoe is great and worth every penny spent. I'm almost an avid walker and this shoe really encourages me to keep on the right track. It's super light and fits great. New Balance tends to run a little small to me so I ordered half size up. Happy in Aurora, CO!

I normally buy a half-size smaller but that size was too snug so I also tried this longer one. I wear a AA width. Although I liked this shoe a lot, it was built up a small amount too high on the outside and therefore twisted my knee too much. Others might not have this problem.

My mom was recently diagnosed with diabetes and because she has such wide feet she usually just wears slides. Everyone agreed she needed more stability so I got her these sneakers. She likes them -- I wanted something "cooler" looking but these are fine. Love Zappos!

One of the greatest walking shoes for people with a wide front foot. I own two pairs and switch them every couple of days. Thanks Zappos for the speedy service!

Really a nice fit for a narrow foot (N width). The support is excellent. Feels as if they were custom made for me.
