Okay, here's the deal...these shoes are magic! I suffer from plantar fasciitis, which is very painful tendinitis in the bottom of both my feet. For the first time in 2 years, I can function normally without pain. I am seriously contemplating replacing most of the shoes I own with Earths, and I'm honestly not exaggerating! Today is the second day I've worn them and I feel a little sore in the back of my calves, but it's a "good sore," like I've done some exercise. I'm sure that will be gone in a few days as I get used to the negative heel. My back feels better and my feet feel fantastic. I cannot recommend these shoes highly enough for anyone who suffers from chronic pain, or wants to improve their posture. They are well made and don't look "orthopedic," though they have a thicker heel than a regular dress shoe. These are totally work appropriate for me and I wear them with a suit. The only drawback (which I will gladly trade) is I have to re-hem my pants! They feel very true to size and the adjustable strap is a nice feature, too.

I took this brand new shoe with me for 10 days in Italy. I wore them every single day with miles of walking. No pain. No blisters and I didn't wear socks! I have bad bunions and haven't found a shoe that doesn't give me pain after some where (Birkenstocks and Chacos have come close). But this shoe is awesome! I don't normally get a wide, but I did and it was perfect. I'm an Earth shoe convert. They looked great with linens pants and all my skirts.

The mahogany color has more red/purple tones and more sheen than the product photos indicate. These pinch a little around the heel until you break them in, but they're otherwise very comfortable.

Very comfortable shoe right out of the box. I have not had the nerve to wear them to work due to the negative heel. My feet love Dansko best. However, this shoe offers a pressure break to my feet and the styling is very cute. Thumbs up for the decent arch support for my high arch/instep. I also think the strap is too thin and too far back. I find it can be slightly cutting.

Absolutely love these shoes. Comfort is truly wonderful! My feet are so happy! The arch support is perfect. Color & size run true! The rate system below only allows for 5 stars -- I would actually give it 12 stars overall!

I am a principal in an elementary school, which means I am on my feet all day and into the night. These are the perfect shoe! They go with just about everything, from trouser suits, to cute tights and dresses. The Mary Jane look suits me to a T. They are comfortable and allow me to go from recess duty to school board meetings without a missed step! Cute, comfortable and formal enough for a professional setting. Perfect fit!

earth solar shoe - I love this shoe, I stand to work all day (hairdresser) and this shoe distributes the pressure evenly on the foot. I wish it was made in narrow so I wouldn't have to wear heavy socks.

Very satisfied! When I was in high school I wore a pair of Oxfords that were, as my dad said, "Uglier than sin". Despite their homely appearance they were the most comfortable footware I owned. About 3 years ago, I stumbled upon a store which sold Earth Shoes. Since I was in the market for some sandals I tried them on. The memory of correct posture and comfort was wonderful. My sandals and I have been walked many miles in all weather. However, I knew there would come a season I would have to retire them. So, I was on a quest for another pair. The store was out of my size in the style I wanted. This is a common problem since I wear an 11 wide. A bit dissappointed, I decided to shop the internet. Delighted to find this website with a style and size I could use, I ordered my new shoes. I am a myotherapist with a busy practice, a busy mom. The negative heel technology is perfect for me since I am bending over people all day. My hips, knees and lower back rarely are sore after a long day. Thank you for your speedy service and for carrying my old friend- Earth Shoes! (I have recommended this site to some of my patients.)

Cute and comfortable, what more can you ask for? I love these shoes, I have worn them almost everyday since I got them. They do take some getting used to however since the lower heal streches out your calves. Once you have broken them in, you won't be able to live without them.

The Earth Solar is true to size and very comfortable right out of the box. The soft leather gives it a worn in feeling from the minute you put it on. I love Earth shoes and I love Zappos.

So comfortable! I need shoes I can walk or more miles a day in, and after trying about 20 other pairs, these are by far the winner. My feet gave a sigh of relief when I put them on.

I have been wearing Earth shoes for several years now. They are the only brand that supports my lower back. Any other shoe causes leg and back pain. The Solar is comfortable and my daughters even remarked on how stylish is was. These shoes are very well made and I am still wearing the other styles I have purchased. It is always great buying shoes from Zappos, they have my size and the shipping and return policy are wonderful.

It's often difficult to find that perfect balance between comfort and style, but Earth Solar does both extremely well. I'm a size 9 1/2, and I found this shoe to be true to size. The leather toebox was a bit stiff at first, but soon loosened up after a few wearings. I did find that the "Kalso Negative Heel Technology " (described in detail inside the shoebox) took some getting used to, but only because most shoes are designed to place our weight on the ball of the foot and, as a result, most people have tight calf muscles and hamstrings. I'm delighted with this shoe style. It wears well with trousers and skirts. Wish this style came in red!

I've had three pairs of these shoes...I love them. They are comfortable and I love the chunky front. I bought a half size larger because of the stock available but they were fine - the strap helps keep things fitting.

My number one goal was comfort, then style. I'm happy with both. You can't beat the comfort/ support of these shoes. I'm very happy with the look of them as well, especially the color.

This is my second pair of these. The first lasted for five years, but were starting to show some wear. They fit true to size, are very comfortable, and go with almost anything. Love them!

Because of a bad foot surgery I need a shoe with a stiff sole, one that doesn't flex and these have been wonderful. I live in a city and travel a lot and these allow me to walk forever. I just replaced my four year old pair with an identical one only because they were starting to look a little worn but will keep as back ups.

Earth Shoes are the best, and this pair is no exception. And Zappos' service is tops, too.

All I can say is I love Zappos. It seems I'm always returning shoes til I get what I can wear and they never give me any crap. The service is outstanding! I love my Earth shoes. The wide width fit perfectly, comfortable from the start.

Great shoes! I bought two pairs of the Earth solar shoes. First, the colors (red and brown) are wonderful, rich and almost jewel-toned. The profile is a little lower than the previous Earth shoe mary-jane look, making them less clunky, and able to be worn with somewhat dressier outfits. They provide the same posture benefits and are a welcome style addition to the earth shoe line.

Lives up to the hype... This is a great shoe and it's the first Earth show I've worn. I love it and my body appreciates the better posture.

Full Comfort - The shoes are comfortable from the first wearing on. A very nice addition to my wardrobe.
