If you're not familiar with Birks, just know these are stiff when they arrive, but after a week of breaking them in they are super comfortable and supportive. I wear these almost every day! Plan on buying another pair in a different color.

I am a fan of Birkenstock and wanted to try another style. and color. They look and fit great and can't wait for an apportunity to wear them

These fit as expected based on my other Birkenstocks! Already had Mayari in a different color so these are exactly what I wanted. I wear a 35 narrow and these are perfect.

Love these shoes--the Gizeh showed me that I can actually wear something between my toes, and these are really cute and comfortable. The footbed seems a snoodge longer than some other size 38 Birks, but on the whole these are great. If you like the Gizeh you'll like this too.

I am from Northeast US and had to go to SW Florida for longer than I'd be. My poor fairly high arches! As a result, it was painful wearing flip flops all the time and it is too hot to wear closed shoes. Vans has no arch support, and running shoes aren't flattering. That left me with one option: Birkenstock Mayari! I ordered them in Tobacco color and love them! My advice: Birkenstock is tricky when it comes to sizes. When in doubt, stop by a store with the same Birkenstock style you are looking for and try on sizes until you come up with the right size and order via Zappos (since Zappos carries more color options, anyway!) I normally am a 7 - 7.5 but ended up having to order 6 - 6.5.

I love the Mayari. I have the Antique color and literally wore them every day last summer. They are so comfortable! However, I recently bought the oil-rubbed leather. I am disappointed in the craftsmanship. The straps are uneven. The top strap on the right shoe is longer than the left one and it bows up. The leather is really hard but I know that will change over time. I

I’ve worn Birkenstock for the past 5 yrs, and my fave and only style that I had bought was the gizeh. I just found the gizeh appropriate for any situation. This Xmas I decided to do a change of style, the mayari. Now let me tell you, my fave now is the mayari. I did read the reviews on sizing but was a bit conflicted, I wear a 40 regular in the gizeh, so I did order the same size and width for the mayari and in other shoes/brand I’m a 9 so fit for me is true to size. As I got older, I started to enjoy comfort more than style and I live in the Caribbean so I get to wear them year round. Now 80 % of my shoe collection is Birkenstock and growing.

The Birkenstock mayari are so cute. I wore them all summer. I feel like they are a dressier version of birks that I could wear with sundresses etc. and not seem as bulky as the Arizona style. After reading some of the reviews, I did wear them for short times every day to “break” them in, which worked for me. I ordered according to the size chart after chatting with a rep - other reviews indicated ordering otherwise. The chart size fits me perfect. Great buy.

I love this style of Birkenstocks! I put off ordering Birks because of the price, but they are worth it. I’ve only had mine for a few days so we will see, but so far so good. Based on some of the reviews I ordered the 36 even though the sizing chart suggested I order a 37. I’m so glad I did. I’m a usually a 6.5 but i think the 37 would have been too big and the 36 for like a glove. My feet are a bit of the wider side as well. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

These are totally worth every penny, I am in love with these! I've been suffering with plantar fasciitis for months and tried inserts and expensive sneakers. These gave me the proper support to put my foot in proper position and helped heal my foot! I'm actually really upset that it's getting too cold for them. I would highly recommend these! They fit perfectly and were immediately comfortable. Worth the upgrade to leather strap too!

A great sandal! I generally hate anything that fits between my toes, but these are unbelievably comfortable. I walked all over Italy with them and my feet felt wonderful. The arch support is great -- I wear orthotics for flat feet so finding a pair of sandals I can wear alone is difficult at best. These fit great and provide much-needed support for my feet.

I have these in antique lace and just ordered the oiled black leather. I recently have been dealing with plantar fascitis and have been wearing them around the clock. I'm happy to say the pain is gone except when I stand for long periods of time. Conditioning the cork will help extend their life.

I purchased the oiled leather variety in a full size down from what I normally wear (I am an 8-1/2 and therefore should normally take a 39 but took a 38 in these). They take a little getting used to if you are not used to such a supportive arch but once I did I love them and they are my go-to comfort shoe of summer. I love the styling of these - much more feminine and less clunky looking than some of the other varieties which is what held me off from buying a pair for so long. My one complaint would be that when I wear them for a full day, the dye from the leather turns my toes black but it washes off after a couple of showers. Hopefully it was because they are new, though I did read a similar complaint about them before purchasing them.

This is definitely a 'five star' sandal...eventually. Although I am not the biggest fan of thong sandals I do own my fair share of the "Helen" from Mephisto and they are great. I also often wear Birkenstock though these are my first pair of thongs. Bought them because I do like to change up the foot-bed to keep my feet at maximum comfort. This sandal is very cute and stylish and am not disappointed that I bought them but the break-in for the toe/thong leather to soften took quite some time and am just about there after constant wear the past month. So I would recommend this sandal but for me it was not 'right out of the box' wearable.

These are my first pair of Burkenstocks and I am in love! Absolutely no rubbing or uncomfortable aspect to this shoe whatsoever. I generally love my similarly styled Mephisto Helens, but those often require a brief break-in period. Not so with these. I am amazed. The arches fall just where I need the support. I went with my regular size and width (38-7M) because I have bunions and my feet tend to be slightly wider in the toe area, and they fit perfectly.

Love love love these shoes. So very comfortable and cute. I got the stone color and it’s a great alternative to brown. Like other Birks I order a size smaller (I get a 37 and I’m usually a size 7 in other shoes). Highly recommend. So happy with my purchase.

Seriously, start one full size down from your usual sandal size. These run long. Don’t even try your usual size. Great shoes.

This is my first pair of Birkis. It took several weeks to get used to the footbed, but then everything clicked and I love them. This color goes with everything. Ready for another pair!

I love them! I have two other pairs of Birkenstocks but this is my fist pair of 'Mayari' style Birks. I had to send back the first pair because they were two wide. I got the narrow fit and they are PERFECT! I've never ordered the narrow fit before. Perhaps these run on the side side? Super cute with jeans!

I've only worn these a few times -- once for a 2 mile walk -- and so far, they're fabulous. I originally ordered a size 38 (I'm normally a US size 7.5), but they were enormous on me. So I exchanged them for a size 37 and they are just perfect. I got them in Mocha color and they're exactly what I wanted -- sort of a greyish brown; they go with everything. I haven't had any rubbing, irritation or any other comfort issue thus far. But, I can't wait til they're broken in and fit my feet even better. This is my first pair of Birks in probably 20 years and I'm so glad the quality is exactly as I remember them. If all continues to work out, I will likely be purchasing another pair for myself and my hubby.

I haven’t owned a pair of Birkenstocks in 20 years but I am so glad I purchased these! Excellent comfort and style. I usually wear a size 40 but had to move to a size 39 in these.

I absolutely love these sandals! They are extremely comfortable and look great. I normally wear a size 38 in Birks, but had to go down a size for these. The 37’s fit me perfectly!

I usually wear Birkenstock shoes for everything I do and I really do love the Mayari style. Some pros about this style is that they are very light feeling compared to my Arizonas, they stay on really well because of the toe strap, they are very feminine, and I have the black oiled leather ones that I could wear to work on a casual day because they still look cute with a skirt or anything. The cons I found with this style is that the cork tends to crack easier where the leather meets the cork, I think it must be because of the thinner lighter cork layer than some other styles. I also found that the upper leather part was hard and rubbed a bit in the beginning, I had to sand the inside down a tad. The last thing is that I have become spoiled by the soft footbed and wish they came in this style. I find that I cannot wear these as long as my other soft footbed Birks!
