I live on an island, flip flops were my "go to" style of shoe, but lately foot pain has made them a nightmare to wear. I decided to try Birkenstock's for the first time having heard of their great foot support. I didn't want the Arizona style, a bit too clunky for my taste. But then I saw this Mayari style. Love the look. I wasn't sure what size to order so I let the "recommended fit" tool select for me. I couldn't be happier !! Bought two pair, one black, one brown. They are great ! Very cute, classy look, EXCELLENT fit, and my feet feel great for the first time in a long time. Highly recommend this shoe.

Great fit! Especially for narrow feet. Just make sure you select the narrower version.

I love Birkenstocks! These fit great. The toe loop I had no issues with whatsoever. I do typically wear a eight size 8 shoe size and in these I wear a 37. So yes, they run big.

Great shoe, I've had a broken foot and needed a great, supportive shoe coming out of my cast--these have been perfect!!

My favorite shoe, ever. I've owned 20+ pairs in a variety of colors and I've never been disappointed. As far as Birkenstock sizing goes I'm a solid US 9 but I'm a Birkenstock 39 in every style, not just the Mayari.

Very hip looking birks, have not had them in 20 years. Top of my foot gets leather rubs, will have to put bandage there or moleskin. Other parts are good. Wish Birkenstock would add a bit of soft padding at the top, instead of raw hard leather. thanks

Right style, comfortable footbed, supportive for the plantar fasciitis that ails me. Unfortunately, the toe strap and my bunion will not be friends!

Hopped on the bandwagon. I'm fair skinned and got the Stone color, which looks decent and actually seems to go with both black and brown items. The color is a mix between a dark olive-y green and gray. Comfortable and good quality, which is to be expected. Also, I'm a regular width person for other shoes, narrow wasn't available, and the regular width in these worked great. Normally a size 9 in US sizes, and 40 worked for me.

I was delighted to see these were available in a size 43. I have worn the Birkenstock brand for 30 years and have not often found a style with a feminine touch. I am often disappointed when the bright colors and cute styles are only available up to a 42. Black was the only option available in a 43 but I have signed up for an email if any of the other color options return in a 43. These were easy to wear out of the box with a minimal breaking in period as compared to my years of traditional footbed Arizona. If these return in any other color in a 43 I will order as soon as possible.

I've been having heel pain and needed a sandal for a winter vacation. Have other Birkies but they look old and worn out. They were out of my usual 42 N so tried the 42 Reg. These fit perfectly! My feet love them. I have ordered the clog to wear with socks in our chilly Minnesota winters. Looking forward for painfree feet.

I just purchased this Mayari Birkenstock sandal because I have 2 other pairs of this style and love them. I usually can't wear thong sandals because they hurt in-between my toes. The toe loop on these rest more on the side of your toe and don't go down into the sensitive area between your toes. If you have owned Birkenstocks before and haven't tried these, you should. They are so comfortable. If you have never tried Birkenstocks and are looking for support and comfort, then try these. I have had plantar fasciitis and these give me the support I need and they don't look clunky on. I think they are the top selling sandal that Birkenstock makes.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I'm sure it won't be my last. Absolutely love these shoes. Very comfortable for long walks and break-in easily. Well worth the price. Originally I ordered a size down after reading reviews of these being slightly large, however ended up returning for my regular size because I found they fit true to size.

Love at first sight! My daughter had a pair of the conventional Birkies, and they were so comfortable. Saw these, and really liked the more "beachy" look of this sandal. Very little break in time, and molded to my foot within days. Have received many compliments on these little dandies. Well, I don't know if you would call size 9 little! I first ordered down one size (after reading other reviews), and found that they just fit, almost a little too close for comfort. Returned those, and ordered a size 9. Wiggle room for sure, but just love the overall fit and look. If you have never owned Birkenstock, channel your inner hippie, and get online to Zappos today!

This is my second pair, my first I wore for six years. I love the style and comfort of Birkenstocks, also the durability. I wear a size 8 so I ordered the 39's and the fit is perfect. You really can't go wrong getting a pair.

After trying several pairs of "comfort" sandals and thinking, "these will probably be comfortable enough," I returned those and ordered these. When I put them on, my feet felt like they were home. (They were also warm from being on the delivery truck, and it was like heaven!) I've been wearing Birkenstocks off and on for over 25 years, but had been more off lately. Welcome back! The style of these is relatively very cute - I mean, let's be honest, Birks are not the most stylish, but these are probably the cutest of the bunch. I wear a solid 8.5 - sometimes 9, 39 in Danskos, and 39 in these with plenty of room. (I hate seeing people's feet hanging outside their Birkenstock footbeds - that is not a correct fit!) The 39 is definitely more like 8.5-9, not 8-8.5. My feet are average width, and I absolutely need the regular width in these.

This are great shoes for someone with a heel spur that don't like shots. ;-) I wore them all summer everyday and I no longer have heel pain. Love them. Great for your feet!

I have flat feet with Morton's neuroma, heel spurs, plantar facia, nerve problems you name it and I have it, Birkenstock's are the only one I can wear them during summer, this is my third pair and I will be getting some more, I still have to try the winter ones.

I bought these after reading an article (in hindsight, thinly-veiled advertising) about the newer styles Birkenstock is putting out there. I was very pleased to see these are so much more fashionable than the ones I wore in college. I love the vanilla/iridescent color and the cute toe-strap. The footbed takes a little getting used to, but they are very comfortable.

Well - I bought this in June and am just now making a review. I just had to come back and post comments. It is now October in KC and I am still wearing this Mayari! I ordered the Silver 40 (women's 9) Narrow (who knew Birks came in Narrow?!). Oh My! This is by far my most comfortable sandal this summer. First pair of Birks - I read so many reviews (last year I fell for the high reviews on the Frye Harness - those are still not fitting) -- but hit a home run with these Mayari! Even with my narrow feet - they stay on - the toe loop helps - I usually cannot wear a clog or slide of any kind - just walk right out of them. But this 9 Narrow in Silver is cute and fits like a glove! Thank you Birkenstock for the Narrow fit!

The Mayari are quite comfortable out of the box but I do recommend easing into wearing them for long periods of time. I wasn't sure if the toe loop would be bothersome but it's quite comfortable. I was debating on color as I'm usually a 'stick with black' sort of gal, but I'm glad I stepped outside of my comfort zone and went with the onyx. It's a nice gunmetal sort of gray that should go with nearly everything. I was very unsure of what to do about sizing as many of the reviews seem to indicate that you should order down a size and many say to order your true size. I am a solid 8.5 (39 in Dansko) and decided to just stick with 39 narrow. The 39s are an exact fit without much wiggle room so if you're 8.5 I would suggest 39 and if you tend to run towards 9, you might want the 40.

I've been wanting a sandal with more support than a flip flop, and bought these as a cute way to join the recent Birkenstock trend! I have a wide foot and typically wear a 6 1/2 - 7, so I was a little unsure of what size to order. Based on the reviews I first tried a 37, but they felt a little large and online fit resources suggested my heel should land towards the back of the shoe - if not, it's too big. Down to a 36 I went, and they fit perfectly!

I have four pairs of the "thong" style and am deeply in love with them. I thought I should I try a different style...I love them more! They are more comfortable (you don't feel the toe thing at all) and I think they look classier. I walk my dog many miles every day. I can't imagine traveling or city walking without Birkenstocks. This style seems to be 1/2" longer than the thong-style. But I still wear the same size.

I was going to wait until I'd had a chance to wear in my new pair of Mayaria's before writing my review, but it's only been 2 days and they're already so comfortable!! Out of the box, I loved them! I purchased the Mayaria's in Stone Birkibuc. I wasn't sure about the Burkibuc but I really loved the Stone color so I gave it a try. Let me tell you, it's super soft! LOVE! Before I purchased these, I tried to Gizeh style which I didn't like at all. I liked the style, in theory, but the hard plastic toe bar was really uncomfortable. These are a whole different story. Super soft around the toe and very comfortable. I have kind of a wide...ok, fat foot and was worried about the straps fitting. But, they fit great, my foot feels secure in the foot bed, plenty of arch support, and the straps aren't too tight. Very, very happy with this style and color and will probably buy more of this style in the future. If you're on the fence, I say go for it! You wont be disappointed! I can't wait to wear these all summer. :)

I love Birkies but they aren't the most beautiful sandal, mainly because of the bulky wide leather sides. This style is not like the rest, thin straps. Ridiculously comfortable, wore them all day from the moment I tried them on out of their shipping box.
