These boots are the cutest ever. It was true to size for me, size 7. It is very comfortable. Ever since I got these boots I've been praying for more rain!

We recently had a huge snowstorm and I finally got fed up with walking around for the past umpteen winters without the proper footwear. I decided it was time for a weatherproof pair of boots. A friend of mine has these in the original tall version which are obviously taller and not as shiny. She wears hers with blue Welly socks and I always loved the way they looked on her (for a rain boot that is) and she absolutely swears by them in bad weather. She said they make her feel invincible to the bad weather. She is also several inches taller then me (I'm 5'2"), so I decided to order the shorter boot in the gloss. Great choice! The height of these is definitely better for my short frame than the originals. I also like the glossiness because it is a bit dressier which allows me to wear these all day at work with slacks as opposed to hauling a second pair of shoes around on bad weather days. I am a size 7 and ordered a 7. They are a bit roomy, but just fine with really thick socks. Thick socks are a must with these, or else they tend to make your foot feel cold. Your feet will also sweat in these without a good absorbent sock. My only disappointment so far is that I have been unable to determine if Hunter makes Welly socks for these short boots. I can't seem to find them or an answer as to whether they are available anywhere. I really wanted the Welly socks and that was one of the reasons I ordered Hunter boots as opposed to another brand. Well, hopefully I'll find them. Other than that, great boots!

I just got these boots today and I love them! I originally ordered the Original boots, but they were to tight on my calves, so I ordered the shorts and they are awesome! I wish they made shorter wellie sock to go with them, but the ones that I have work just fine! The greatest part is that I called customer service last night at 8 pm to return the others, and my new boots were here by 4:30 pm today! Great service Zappos! I can't wait to place my next order! You made online ordering so easy. I love it!

I first tried on Hunter boots at Nordstrom in Tampa, FL in November. Ended up getting the Burberry rain boot instead because it was on sale and because I didn\'t see any black Hunter short boots. I couldn\'t stop thinking about these and finally broke down and got a pair. I don\'t have Kate Moss calves, so the short boots work best for me. I\'m a shoe size of 7.5 normally. In boots, I\'m an 8, 8.5, and 9, depending on the cut (Uggs - 8, Dolce & Gabbana - 8.5, etc.). I wasn\'t interested in the original Hunter boots because of the whole "blooming" waxy thing they do. So I figured the gloss would be a better option, plus they look like patent leather. These boots run big. I\'m a US size 7 in these boots. Same with the Burberry rain boots. They hit me mid calf, so no awkard scrunching effect like on the taller boots. I wish they made the fleece insoles for the shorter boots as I\'m going to try these out when I go snow tubing in a couple of weeks. I think these will be wonderful for walking around in the snow. Zappos was extremely fast in shipping. I ordered these between 9am-10am (EST) yesterday and had them by late lunch today. Very pleased with my order.

These boots are perfect for rainy Seattle weather. They're very comfortable, but require thick socks when it's cold because they are not built for warmth. I normally wear a size 6.5 and a 37 fits perfectly with enough room for thick socks. I am only 4'11" so these look more appropriate on me than the tall version of this boot. The gloss look is very sassy and I receive compliments whenever I wear them.

Love my hunter wellies! These are great boots; order a size down and you will not regret it. And I love Zappos, too! I ordered the taller hunters first and after finding out I'm too short (I'm 5 foot 1 and a half) I asked if I could ship them back and exchange them for the shorter boots and I didn't even have to wait for the taller ones to get shipped back; they just sent the shorter ones right away!

I first tried the regular boot, but I'm barely 5'2" and they were too tall for me. This short boot is the perfect size. It is wonderful for wet western Washington weather. I get to stay dry in style.

Great boots but they're too big (size 9). But no worries, customer service immediately processed a new order for a size 8. Great Service! Piece of advice ladies, if you don't plan on wearing the "wellie socks", you could probably go down one size. As for me, I'm going to use my regular winter socks. I'm so glad Hunter made these in Gloss. The gloss gives the boot sort of a classy look. Due to the gloss, I doubt if they will turn ashy white like the Original boot. The gloss boot goes well with jeans, but they will also look great with work attire such as slacks or skirts. Thank you Zappos & Hunter.

Love my Hunters - When my original order for Hunter boots did not work out (my calf is shorter than I thought), I was hoping there would be an alternative. I found this shorter version and they are fun, fun, fun! These actually fit me better not just in height, but they hug my leg for a perfect fit.

Love it! Love my new Hunter Wellies. I opted for the short since I had heard reviews regarding the calf area being tight on the originals. The shorts fit my calves and pants perfectly. I ordered a size smaller than my usual (I wear size 10, but ordered size 9) based on other reviews. I was also very happy with this decision. I got the purple ones and think they look good with all colors (black pants, brown pants and denim). These have been great in Chicago's rainy spring weather.

Comfortable, practical, springtime boot - I got these mainly because I walk and bus to work and in the spring/fall I've trashed some good shoes on rainy days. So I decided it was time to get some comfortable rain boots and these seemed like they would fit the bill. Perhaps they're not as stylish as some others that have cute patterns, but these are definitely more comfortable. I read other reviews stating that these run large, so I ordered down in size and am glad I did. Maybe they're made for wearing really thick socks as they do not have any sort of warm lining (as in, they're great for warm weather, not suitable for winter wear). But I'm wearing them we trouser socks, so I'm glad I ordered down. The arch support is pretty good, though I might just get a pair of drug store inserts to add a little bit more. These are exactly what I was going for: practical, completely waterproof, and comfortable to walk in.

Great Wellies! Perfect boot for rainy days. Previously I tried the taller Hunter boots, but they felt too tall and therefore not so comfortable. I usually wear a 7.5 but ordered a 7 and they fit just fine. The only issue I've had is they painfully rubbed the back of my calves when I didn't wear long socks. They are fine with long socks or when tucking pants into the boot. I would recommend these boots. They are comfortable, fashionable and practical.

Wellingtons in review - I’m very pleased with the fast processing, packaging, and product. My only real disappointment was that my "British" boots were Chinese made. I try to avoid Chinese made items whenever possible to support American- or British-made goods. However, I've always wanted a pair of Hunter boots so I'm ignoring the Chinese part. I still think it's a shame though. The fit was a little big for my size 8 wide foot, but I think a smaller size would be too tight. I'm hoping a lot of sock will get rid of any sliding. Just got to use them outside today in the rain. Felt great and as an English friend of my told me, "They're posh!"

Great boot - Love this boot for easy on and off. I love to garden so this is an ideal waterproof boot and saves my sneakers from getting dirty!

I’m reviewing mainly to describe the red color. The Military Red is slightly on the orange side- it’s the color of a ripe tomato, a little warm. I was hoping for a bright, deep neutral red, or even slightly cool, bluish, but this is still cute. I’ll probably keep it. Sizing: It does feel approx half size larger, but I add an arch support insoles RT o my rain boots so then the fit is perfect and super comfy.

These are such nice boots! I have a wide foot (and a bunion) and was able to fit into the regular size. There's decent arch support (for a rain boot). They are realllly cute in this shiny material. Sadly, I have to send them back because they are difficult to get on and off. I think they narrow significantly near the ankle (which makes them fit well when you get them on), BUT getting them on and off involves a lot of tugging which I don't have the patience for in a boot. Sadly sending back.
