The boot was great; it is a little stiff, which I am hoping will soften up as I continue to wear them, but overall a great boot. I find them a little more difficult to drive in, but not too bad. I love the gloss of them; it makes them look a little nicer than a dull boot. Highly recommend!

A Zappos rep helped me so I'd like to pay it forward. If you are a true size 6, you'll notice that the sizing is either 35-36/UK 3 (woman's 5/man's 4) or 37/UK 4 (woman's 6/man's 4), and that most of the reviews indicate that these boots fit rather snugly. If you are a size 6 like me, you ordinarily would go for a European size 36; however, the size range 35-36 will give you a no-space-for-socks fit and may prove a little more difficult to get off (but then again, all rain boots, especially the taller style, have this problem!). I went with the size 37 and they are perfectly comfortable with thicker/wool socks. They do feel bigger than my usual shoes because they obviously are, but they aren't so large that my feet feel huge or that I am flopping around in them. I personally would rather have that then squished toes. The gloss boots do get scuffed more easily.

These boots are so classic - the glossy tone is not that flashy at all. I ordered them with a fleece sock insert, so as to have a snow boot/ rain boot in one. Unfortunately, even with the socks, my feet were pretty cold during NY snowstorm season. I kept them anyway because I need a good rain boot, and I can see these will last forever and are super comfy.

These boots are very comfortable and have helped me survive a snowy winter. They keep my feet dry and are roomy enough for jeans to be tucked in.

Love these boots! Not one bad thing to say about them! The color is really pretty, and not at all too glossy. I will definitely be ordering a pair of knee length boots too! Very classic look that I am sure will never go out of style! Zappos, you rock as much as these boots do!

Love these rain boots! I am 5'2" with athletic calves -- these boots hit mid-calf with a little room left to tuck in jeans or leggings. I wear a 6 1/2 or 7 and my feet or wide. These boots were comfortable with a pair of thick socks. I don't mind the "bloom" but will probably purchase the Hunter spray.

Great boots! I went w/ the shorter version because I'm 5' and the tall ones made me feel like I was wearing hip waders. Not as super shiny as I thought they would be but I was glad for that--still shiny enough. I also got the fleece liners so I could use them on slushy days and they are plenty warm. Great w/ skinny jeans!

These boots are fantastic - they've saved me from months of wet feet! They are not as glossy as they appear in the picture - perfect for jeans & a nice shirt or to run to the gym.

After trying almost every Hunter boot on I choose this one. Perfect for my 14.5 calf, Perfect for traveling into the city with, perfect for a plane, easy to get on and off. FYI, the Huntress get stuck on your feet...eck. I am using the fleece liner, just folded down and a pair of shell socks and the fit seems great. I can definitely get pants, lots of pant tucked in snugly. Next year I will get the Watlings, they were too cool but this was the more practical way to go, especially for air travel. I purchased a size 8 but got the medium liner, has a snugger fit. Zappos rocks! Great Customer service. I love it in the 3rd big box of boots they sent a sugar free Red Bull, too funny! I also received a card from Cristal at CS expressing how sorry they were that I was so unhappy with my original North Face purchase which lead me to Hunter boots.

I bought a pair of the Hunter Festival Short boots a few years ago and was disappointed to see that they seem to have been discontinued. I gave the Hunter Original Short boots a try. I was pleasantly suprised to find that they have a much softer insole than when I tried the Hunter Original Tall boot a few years ago. However, I compared the size 39 Original Short boot to my size 6 Festival boot. The Original is noticeably shorter, even though it's supposed to be the same size as the Festival. I need extra room for my orthotic, so hopefully the size 40 won't be too big. Also, it's not the warmest winter boot, but it's primarily a rain boot so that should be expected. Overall, I highly recommend this boot. Unlike many boots these days, this one is shaped like a foot: it's not super-pointy in the toe or wide and shapeless like Uggs.

Bought these for my wife as a Christmas present and she has loved them and they're perfect for navigating the slush and snow that's been hitting NYC. They're not insulated, so wool socks keep her warm!

Purchased these boots for my Mom. She loves them. Very warm and cozy. Highly recommend.

My first pair of wellies since I was a child - and happy/surprised at how grown up they are! Stylish, comfortable - recommend them for feeding chicks, walking the dog, or a trip to local watering hole on rainy night. My favorite shoes!

I bought these as a gift for my daughter. She attends school in Portland, Oregon where we get lots of rain and mud. She loves them.

I love these boots! The tall was too tall for me (I am 5'4') but the short is just right.

I bought these boots last year for Christmas. I pulled them out a few weeks ago and noticed one boot looked matte and the other shiny. I contacted Zappos to see if there was anything they could do for me and they replaced the boots with no problem. I received a new pair 2 days later. Wonderful service!

My daughter loved these boots - like the shorter because she is only 5'4". They look great - fit great and really do the job during the rain on campus.

I have wanted Hunter boots forever but am cursed with wider than average calves. I'm short (approx. 5'3") and my calves measure about 17.25", I guess the widest part of my calf starts earlier than most people's. I tried the Huntress - sadly, they didn't work for me and I didn't fit. When I saw the shorts, I figured it was worth it to give them a try. I also have a high instep (I sound like a mutant now lol) and actually got stuck in the boot! They're made of great material and somehow it created a suction that made it nearly impossible to pry the boot off without help. It was a bad scene. They are so cute but just not quite right for my legs. I have tried nearly every Hunter style and I think it's just time for me to move on. Excellent quality and the lipstick pink color is vibrant and fun without being too neon or obnoxious.

I love these Wellies with the exception of the opening. I have large, muscular calves and the top rubs my calves raw, even with socks over them. Most others will not have this problem, as I seem to be in a very small percentage of people afflicted with elephant calves! LOL!

I just received the red gloss in a 9 after returning they grey gloss in 8. I wanted a color that was a little more "flashy" for the price of the boot. (Price is a bit high, but I'm a sucker for labels and Hunter is the best for rain boots, they're like the wet-weather Uggs!) I usually wear an 8.5, but ordered an 8 after reading a lot of the reviews that said to size down. I found that my big toe rubbed the front of the boot in an 8, and I was not even wearing socks (which you will have to do - tall ones - to keep the back of the boot from rubbing on your leg). The size 9 fits perfect with socks! And I have wider calves. What I like is that I can wear my jeans tucked into the boots and there is still room at the top of the boot so it doesn't looked like my leg is crammed into the boot. Can't wait for some rain! Bring on the fall weather!

Unfortunately, the picture here does not match what was sent. The picture appears to be bright red (shiny patent looking) Hunter boots. However, the actual boot is more or an orange/red, with a dull shine. Will be returning these.

I wanted to badly to like these boots. I still love my 10-year old tall Hunter boots. But the Military Red color in person was nothing like it is in the photos provided by Zappos and Hunter. Instead of being a deep, bright red, they were more of a rust color. Not the same look at all, so I reluctantly returned them.

I was really excited to get my hands on these. They fit great. I went with the short ones because I am petite and the tall ones are too tall for me. As great as they fit, unfortunately they have to be returned. Zappos clearly sent me a pair that was used/returned to them. They didn’t even come in their original box. They were dirty and had scuff marks. I am pretty disappointed. I bought these at regular price.. so better Zappos!
