I just received the short graphite gloss boots today after trying out the original tall and the Huntress boots. I felt the Huntress boots were too large in the ankle area and would make this weird sound when I walked. The hunter short boot is perfect for stuffing your jeans into them even with athletic calves (which I have). They are very comfortable and there is no excessive ankle space like in the Huntress. I am a womens size 7 and ordered a 6 - a full size down.

I really needed a waterproof boot and this does the job, but they are hot to wear and hard to walk in for long distances (I wanted to be able to walk around NYC in the rain). Also you must tuck your pants in, or they rub your shins and calves when you walk. I'll keep them for a rainy day, but they aren't what I had hoped.

Perfect rain boots. I bought the black gloss a half size down (normally wear 5.5, purchased 5) - perfect fit. Very comfortable. Use them walking my dog in rainy weather & sometimes in the garden. I've had a lot of compliments about them.

I was a bit afraid to get these bc I have wide calves but they fit great and o still have a bit of room. I was also kind of hesitant about the size, but they run sort or large. I usually wear an 8 1/2 and I got an 8. They fit great and not tight at all and I have wide feet.

I originally purchased these boots in the knee high style which proved to be uncomfortable because they were higher than my knee which caused discomfort when sitting. This style is perfect for me. The gloss style really looks cute with jeans and the heel gives me that little extra bit of hight that I need. I highly recommend. It's great to have a go to boot that stands up to nasty weather.

These were my first pair of Hunter boots and they are fabulous. They keep my feet warm, dry on slip on and off with ease. Extremely well made and comfortable. Highly recommend them.

I am more than pleased with these boots! I am smaller with a petite frame, so this shorter boot was perfect! I added a thick sock on cold days, and it has been perfect! (They run an entire size larger, so order down one size.)

I don't usually write these, but I just had too in this case. First, Laura (customer service) was outstanding in her help with the ordering. Second, these were a gift for my wife and I was nervous that I wouldn't get her something she'd like (or it wouldn't fit). Well, they arrived today (December 23rd) and right away my wife wanted to know what was in the box. Since we usually give each our gifts, I figured it would be okay. The surprised look on her face told me everything I needed to know. She's already tried them on (she likes the fit and feel) and made comment that there's enough room for a couple of pairs of socks (for winter wearing). She wears a size 6 shoe and I got her size 6 Graphite Short Gloss Hunter's.

I just received my Hunter Short Gloss boots in Graphite, and I am in love. Comfortable, Chic and practical... an unbeatable combination and well worth my money. The only thing I am more impressed with is Zappos and their consistently excellent customer service.

Best boots ever. These will keep your feet dry and they're extremely durable. Made with care and the finest rubber. In my opinion, Hunters, for the win!

Love this boot! It's perfect to wear with short when it's warm and rainy or for working in the garden. You will want to order a size down for proper fit.

If you're looking for a rain boot that will fit over your jeans, this is the one. I originally bought the tall version, but had to return it because I couldn't shove my jeans inside the boot. This one is perfect!

I love these boots! I just got them in the mail today and they are fantastic. I cannot wait to try them out but they already feel broken in and comfortable just putting them on for a short walk with the dogs. Great looking boots too!

I own tall Hunters too. Live on a farm and use them all the time. Comfortable for working and walking.

Runs a little large for my general size 8, but fits perfectly for wider feet with the Hunter socks.

Perfect. I love them; stayed on my feet all winter, they go with everything and since they are Hunter you can wear them in the yard. Clean with their spray cleaner and they are ready for going out.

I love these boots! I have a thicker calf and these boots make it so I can wear rain boots and not worry about squeezing into them. I'm thinking about getting a 3rd pair.

These boots are very comfortable for wellies. I wear them around my farm and can walk fairly long distances in them. They are great!

Wonderful boots! I normally wear a women's 9.5 in Scarpa, Montrail and Zamberlan hiking boots. I ordered the 40-41 and needed to put in thick Sole insoles to get the right fit with thinner socks. With the Soles insoles the boots fit perfectly and are very comfortable and were right out of the box. I have a very wide forefoot and narrow heel. The boots have no arch support, so the Soles help with that if you will spend a lot of time standing while wearing these boots. I live in a dusty high desert and wear the boots daily for outdoor chores, ranging from gardening to sawing trees. They are super: at the end of a dusty / muddy day I just hose them off and am good to go inside. The height keeps the bottoms of my pants clean and dry and keeps insects out. The soles grip well on all surfaces, wet and dry. I have bought many other chore boots but these are by far the best and the fire engine red makes them the prettiest, too. They are also easy on and off. I guess you can tell by now that I recommend the boots.

Love these boots! They are the most comfortable rain boots I have ever owned. I live in the Seattle area and spend a lot of time on the soccer field, therefore these boots have seen a lot of action and they still look great, and eventhough I am wearing rainboots, I still feel stylish.

Great choice! I'm petite and 5'4" so the short style hit perfectly at my calf, avoiding the rubber "swish" of the classic. My gait feels stable in in wet/slippery conditions.
