I have had these boots about 6 months now. I wear them at work where I am on my feet all day and also have done quite a bit of hiking in them. While I did add an arch support, which I do in all my shoes, I do love them. The waterproof feature is especially great.

The boots are of high quality--perfect for hiking. I ordered a size smaller-- from 9 1/2N to 9N-because my feet are very narrow. My heels didn't slip in a 9 narrow, but the boots don't seem very narrow. I wish the boots were a little longer and narrower. I'm not sure if a 9 1/2 narrow with inserts would have been better.

These boots are really great. They have nice grip, they're comfortable, and they break in really quickly. I bought them and went straight into a one week trip and had zero issues with blisters or sores. A great buy worth the money. I have a narrow foot and I wear a 7 or 7.5 typically. I bought the 7, 7.5 and 8 to try on all 3 and I found the 7.5 fit great.

I ordered these had found that for some reason, a 8.5 D width was shorter than a 8.5 B width. It might be there is some variation in production. I did like that these did not appear oversized as some other brands/styles, however, before I go up a size will try other choices.

These are my second pair - the first were a bit too snug so I ordered a half size up. They fit like a dream - I hiked eleven miles the first time out, felt comfy the whole way.

Nice to find a comfortable narrow boot. These are the best fitting hiking boots I have ever had. They fit true to size (length, I wear a 10), and in the narrow width I still have lots of toe room, but the fit is snug enough that there is no rubbing. Wore them right out of the box on short hikes, no problems at all. I did need to add an arch support insert.

Best boots I ever had! Bought them for gardening, and from the first time I put them on they were old friends. Absolutely comfortable 10.5 Narrow. Impossible to find that size in a store. Thank you Zappos!!

Excellent boot in narrow (with low volume). We searched high and low for a boot for my daughter. This boot (in narrow) is actually narrow enough that she doesn't get heel slip, yet has room for her high arch without the toe box being too large. Really great boot. She felt like they were hike ready from the word go, and they did well by her on her backpacking trip.

I have a very narrow foot. So, it was nice to find a narrow boot. Also, I normally wear an 8 1/2 in a standard shoe. I needed an size 9 in this boot. I usually find I need a 9 or 9 1/2 in athletic shoes. I did add my own foot pads into the boot. However, I do this will all of my athletic shoes.

Very nice hiking boots. I am male, but purchased a female shoe (no, I'm not a cross-dresser or tranny) because I can't find men's shoes my size. Anyway, they fit snugly (even with a wide) and feel good. They're a little stiff, but will probably loosed up during break-in. But I really feel protected and steady in these, when hiking in rocky, uneven terrain. Great boots.

Bought for light hiking. Comfortable but the toe box is definitely a C and not D width even though sold as a wide. Afraid there will be tightness issues once worn for longer than a few minutes. Returning.

These seem like awesome hikers but unfortunately, the D width is not wide enough. I tried the next size to compensate for the lack of width, but unfortunately, the extra length was just too long and I would have had too much front to back movement - and they still pinched. I will need to return.

I have a narrow, low volume foot and use prescription orthotics. I tried about 6 different kinds of boots based on reviews and this one was the right one for me. The fit is firm, but with room to wiggle toes. The split tongue allowed for easier tightening down at the ankle and therefore your foot stays in place on hills without your toes getting mashed. The heel sits beautifully. I've only hiked twice so far, but they didn't give me a lick of trouble, no hots spots. Wish I had gotten these instead for the 500 mile hike I did this past summer.

DON'T BUY THESE BOOTS! They fall apart after about a year, just after warranty runs out. Stitching disintegrates where front of boot is stitched to the rest of the boot, both on inside and outside of boot. I've had two pairs, bought new, and same thing happened to both of them. Money down the drain. First time, I was advised to get expensive insoles; I did, but made no difference. I don't abuse my boots and am just a casual walker, maybe five miles a week. Seems like the thread simply dissolves after a while. Also, the sole became separated from the front of the boots. They are not waterproof nor even water resistant; they even get wet in dry, fluffy snow. Spend your money elsewhere, not on Lowa Renegades.

Best boots I've ever owned! Hiked 218 miles across England in Aug. 2013, without a single blister. My feet were always warm and dry and well supported as we climbed mountains and slogged through bogs. My husband's new Ecco boots came apart in the second week. My boots still look new but are well broken in and incredibly comfortable. I wear two different sizes and have to purchase two pair, but the boots fit both my high arched foot and my very flat foot in total comfort. Just amazing! I'm now looking for the same fit in a low top/street version.

These boots are great!! I tried on so many different pairs of hiking boots, and finally I found these. They are a little stiff, but it is a good kind of stiff. They are really comfortable and the treads are grippy. They are warm, too! I recently wore them running errands on a chilly day and they were great with wool socks. They provide good ankle support as well. They are also really cute, unlike a lot of outdoor play rough type boots. I really cannot say enough about these boots. I wear them all the time. I have not tried them on the trails yet, but I know they will be great.

So far, so awesome! I've had these boots for about a month (replacing my Teva hiking shoes that have been all over the world with me and are finally shot), and so far, they are standing up to Chicago's winter quite nicely. They are super comfortable, waterproof, and not too warm, so I can control the temp with my sock choices. I plan to use these as year-round hikers, so that's a plus. Also the treads are standing up to snow, icy pavement, and walks on the snowy beach just fine. The blue doesn't look crappy when wet/salty/dirty either. They're a big investment, but so far, they're paying off.

These shoes are great. I have a narrow foot and they fit my foot perfectly. I usually wear 8.5 in non-dress shoes, so I was pleased that the shoe is true to size. They feel SO supportive, I think I am going to use them as my daily walking shoe. Will hike in them in Vail, as well.

This seems to be a fine shoe. It ran really large on me. I usually wear 8.5 in non-dress shoes but this one was really large. I am ordering a size 8 and will see what happens.

Nice boots, but I was disappointed in the fit of the narrow width I ordered, which isn't very narrow at all. My Salomon Comet 3D boots in medium width are narrower than these. Returning.

I have a pair of Lowa's in brown that I love. They are perfect for a narrow heel and normal toe box foot. But I bought them in black to use for city travel and they were perfect. I managed to wear the in NYC and Venice and they protected my vulnerable hip/knee situation. I love these boots!

Please check your boots for signs of sole separation before taking them on a hike. Like other reviewers, I loved this pair of boots, comfortable right out of the box, no break in required, got me up and down Kilimanjaro, stayed dry through puddles, mud, pouring rain as long as you have waterproof pants on to keep water from dripping into the cuffs. Once the inside is wet though, they take forever to dry. Like another reviewer, after 5 years, without any sign of wearing, the soles began to separate from the shoes. One of them to the point that the whole toe was flapping. I was able to finish the hike by tying my ponytail holder rubber band on the toe tip to keep the flap in place and walking gingerly. The separation starts at the bend of the forefoot, if you look carefully and throw them out, before the whole thing or part of the thing, starts to peel off on your hike, dangerous!

I was excited to find a narrow boot and the left one fit perfectly. Not so much on the right. I am ordering a M width and hope to fill the space with socks. Nice and lightweight boots. Love Zappos!
