I'm in the military and I also have a 6 acre plot, 3 of which is wetlands that requires constant maintenance in heavy brush and water at times. I have put these boots through about 500 miles of hiking, 20 airborne operations, 2 trips to Afghanistan, and constant submersion in water over the last 4 years and they are FINALLY starting to show some wear and tear. I love these boots because they hold up like nothing I've ever seen, they are extremely comfortable and required no break in. They are light and most of the time I feel like I'm wearing a shoe. I would strongly recommend these to anyone looking for the best boot ever made! Cheers.

LOWA Boots are by far the best fitting, looking and manufactured boots I've worn to date. Unique construction WATERPROOF and I k ow a lot of boots lay claim to there ability to keep your feet dry LOWA does. I purchased them originally in Sepia due to the black/black in wide wasn't available. I had no sooner than received them, When I received an email from Zappos informing me The black/black were available in my size. So I called the great folks and within minutes had an exchange and return label! I am always impressed by there approach to Business, and there attention given there customers. In short Zappos is a quality group of people representing quality products.

I recently bought these boots for a long backpacking trip on the shores of lake superior. they held up astonishingly well. during the whole trip, I did not get a single blister...that says something when you are hiking 9 miles a day for a week. They require a break-in time of around 15-20 miles (not much), so don't worry about wearing them wherever you go for 3 months. they look slick and are very comfortable. these boots are very waterproof....not a single drop of water got into these when I crossed several small rivers during the trip. all in all, these are the best boots I have tried, and would recommend them to anyone.

A rare experience. These boots were as described. They are the most comfortable boots ever purchased right out of the box, with effectively no break-in required. They provide excellent support without being overly stiff. Material and workmanship are excellent. They are exactly what I need for use as a light hiker boot. As usual, Zappos service was exceptional.

These shoes felt comfortable right out of the box. In the last 3 months, I've put 300 miles + on them without any foot problems. During these miles, I've carried a light 15# pack. If anything, they've gotten more comfortable. I spent the last weekend doing a boulder hopping tour and the grip on the dry rock was very solid. There's been no sign of significant wear.

Outstanding boot. Lightweight and very comfortable. Fit is right on and bows away any other boot I have owned.

I generally like this boot very much. Nice feel out of the box and decent depth on the tread. Not as I had hoped for a boot labeled “narrow” , but narrow enough. I am a 25 year user of Garmont footwear, and that is a beautiful narrow fit. Overall, quite happy so far.

Felt a little tight on my foot . Strings were really short . Looked like a nice boot, just not to my liking.

I really like these boots. This is my second pair and I will buy them again. They are a good looking boot. I get two to three years out of them and I am very active out on the trail; hiking, backpacking and lots of trail work on the Colorado Trail. If I had one knock I would say they run a little narrow. I always order a wide and wish they were another size wider.

nice, light weight, nicely made, makes your feet look smaller than other boots, sole not as comfortable as other boots but I put in my own footbed

I bought for my boyfriend. his normal size is 8.5 or 9 Wide. 9.5 Wide dose not make him feel comfortable. he has to do 10 wide.

This boot runs narrow and has strong lower support that will make it very difficult to "wear in".

Husband is replacing many-years-old Lowa GTX Renegade Mid - same size, same Medium width. They must be cut slightly differently now, as he complained they were too tight and therefore uncomfortable. We ordered the same size with the Wide width - perfect. He is keeping the wide width in this style. We both love the Lowa Renegade GTX Mid - I am on my 3rd pair (purchased in December 2021). The wide width ones he is keeping will be his 2nd pair. They are always comfortable out of the box and hold up well for our hikes. And they are definitely waterproof. For those ordering this model, just note that the regular medium width in Men's might be too narrow. I ordered the regular width in my usual size in the Women's model and they fit perfectly.

I love these shoes but they are just a bit too snug overall. I think for most size 13 folks they would be great. I have owned several of these over the years and wore the heck out of them walking around NYC. The last pair I had were old and falling apart so I needed a new pair. They bridge the gap between a light hiker and a heavy duty boot for long hikes and very well made. They got second place to the Solomons I went with, purely because I felt they were just a bit too small for my feet. And my feet may have changed. Was bummed to return them because the quality is awesome and the look great

I bought a D and E width in the same to try. For whatever reason, the D felt wider and fits my foot better. The E felt narrower and lower volume in the footbox. Take that for what it is worth. I'm going to return both though. The D fits well and could be a good boot but there is something on the top of the toe box that is rubbing my toe. It only happens on my left foot. I tried feeling around to figure out what the issue is but it doesn't seem that its something that can be easily remedied. It might be a defect, it might just be my foot and the shape of the boot. Not sure, but I'm going to try something else. My wife has a pair of these and she has had no issues and likes them very much.

So far I really like them. The size is perfect and very supportive. I have been breaking them in as they do need to be broken in a bit to really get the comfort perfect. I have have them out in 15 degree weather and a foot of snow and they are warm and dry. I have a hike on monadnock in a week for their first run. Can’t wait.

These boots fit me well. On a steep side hill there was a little slippage ..I wish I could adjust laces below my ankle separately from my ankle laces. I saw a more expensive model with a locking eyelet at the ankle...an experiment may be in order...

Bought these for my husband who insists on wearing nothing but "boots". Needing a somewhat lighter pair for the summers here in Arizona, these fit the bill. Comfortably wide with a a Vibram sole giving super traction. I bought the tan/beige combo which is stylish as well as the navy/grey. The navy is a deep ink and the grey is more of an anthracite which is more unobtrusive than it sounds. I gave it a 4 star rating only because they aren't as robust as I think they should be for a $250 + shoe. As always nothing but superlatives for Zappos Customer Service Team!- They are the greatest!

I really liked the boots. However 12 was too small 13 was too big. Width was spot on for me. I found them 12.5 and the fit was perfect. I had to send the boots back. Zappos has the best service anywhere. I will continue to order from Zappos because of the service.

Well made , good fitting, but was returned. There was a menufacturing defect, There was a ridge in the liner of the right boot. This was painful. The left was beautifullu done. This is one of the few makes available in large narrow sizes. Mine was a 14B.

Tried these on and didn't like how heavy they were. The style was very good but just too heavy for my taste.

Definitely Water Proof and easy to clean. Confortable however if you need arch support you will need an insert.
