I've purchased Lowa boots before and have always appreciated the craftsmanship, this is by far the best boot I've owned. Light, perfect fit, excellent lacing system. Highly recommend these.

Super comfortable. And not too heavy. Not as rigid as others I've tried on. I'm sticking with these.

These are excellent boots for urban or hiking. They are great for all around wear. The suede materials have a great look and add style. There is amble protection and the soles have great rebound without being too soft. When most tennis shoes are so soft, your feet feel the wear of the road. The tread is very aggressive so even walking on soft surfaces is no problem. I notice on office carpet the tread does not dig like many tread based soles that can cause tripping - just a great all round boot. I was looking for a working boot replacement as many of my older Harley boots are falling apart and have too great of an impact on hard surfaces. The Lowa Renegade is tops on my list.

Great boot, very comfortable from the start. Runs maybe 1/4 to 1/2 size small, may want to go up a half size.

I have never worn boots before as I have flat arches and plantar fasciitis. These boots are wonderful. I don't even need to use my own inserts. I can wear these boots for hours and my feet feel great.

Those of you with a long narrow foot should consider spending a little more and getting these boots. Regular size feet will likely enjoy them too. Comfortable out of the box, lightweight and rugged, they are what I was looking for in a boot.

I've worn boots for close to 30 years in myriad professions (military, FedEx) but never have worn a more supportive, comfortable, rugged set of kicks than the Lowa Renegade. I give them my highest recommendation; worth every penny of premium price.

So I've tried to buy shoes offline for years, even in the stores I have a heck of a time finding something that is comfortable and good. These boots by far, are the best shoes I've ever owned. I'm a career firefighter/paramedic that wore Rocky duty boots for 20 years. Now that I'm a nurse, I don't like the feel of sneakers for working. My husband also retired from the military and went into nursing and feels the same way I do. He is actually the one that bought these for me against my will. I was certain they were going to not fit like everything else. Well, I was wrong! And I'm so thankful. These boots are incredible. My only issue would be, after over a year's use of wearing them about 15 hours a day every day the little Lowa metal label on the side has pulled out. I haven't noticed any leaking issues yet. I absolutely love these boots! Comfy and perfect right out of the box (and I spent over a year trying on close to 100 pairs of sneakers before I found a pair I liked that fit well)...these are fantastic.
I'd also recommend:

It is very rare to find a footwear company that offers boots in true narrow widths in the U.S., as seemingly 99% of the population here has big fat Sasquatch feet. Zappos recommended these when I was looking for a narrow cut hiking boot -- eight years ago! My feet are very narrow and I need a boot that is snug in the heel, but also roomy in the toe box. They are also very bony, so every imperfection in a shoe chafes and rubs. These boots fit like they were custom made, and are supremely comfortable. I can hike for many miles with no irritation or blisters, and I wear them on the street in the winter snow or inclement weather. I have worn these boots for hard hiking for eight years all over the world and have never sprayed them with silicone or cared for them in any way. Yet they are still in great shape and I still get compliments on how nice they look. They are very well made. Since these are the only boots I have ever been able to wear, I have just ordered a new pair, just in case Lowa finds out how much I love them and discontinues them!

These boots are amazing! I tried on many different pairs of hiking boots and these are the best. They provide excellent ankle support; I recently broke my ankle and these have the support I was looking for. They are warm, too! I wore them to go run errands on a chilly day and they were very warm and cozy with thick wool socks. I normally wear an 8½ in most shoes, but I needed an 8 in these. I have not tried them on the trails yet but I know they will be great. I wear these all the time.

Worth the money! I ordered these for my husband a year ago for the fall/winter season. We have a seasonal business that is very demanding and he is on his feet about 20 hours a day non stop, plus he wears a size 15 so we were very happy to finally find a good quality, comfortable shoe big enough. And waterproof! These have passed the test with him which is saying a lot! This season we ordered two pair so he can rotate them out and I'm sure we'll be purchasing more next year! Great shoe!

These are excellent boots right out of the box. I have not had them long enough to comment on long term durability, but fit and comfort are excellent. I would recommend these to all.

I've owned the Renegade GTX for about 5 years and are the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever owned. I hike mostly backcountry in Colorado and several National Parks and have never, ever, had any foot problems with these boots. I have a wide foot, but the Mid size works well. Have not tried the wide size, and don't think I will in the near future because the current ones will last for a long time. Is there any way to re-sole these? That's the only part that's wearing.

This was a great purchase in two ways. First, these are great shoes--sturdy, waterproof, and comfortable. After a month of use, often on rough steep terrain, I can say with certainly that they certainly live up to their high reputation. Unlike some others they come in a wider size. This leads to the second way this purchase was so great. I ordered the regular width from Zappos, but it was too narrow. With one phone call to customer service, all was taken care of. Even though it was late at night, the customer service rep. knew everything and could do everything that needed to be done. A wider replacement pair was ordered and was en route by the next morning. A free return shipping label was sent right away (I asked for it by mail, but could have had it instantly in an email). Better yet, Zappos didn't charge my credit card for the second pair of shoes. They were willing to wait for the first pair to be returned in even exchange. I could not have found these shoes in this size anywhere in San Diego County. As it was, I was able to get them without leaving home. I can't emphasize enough how much I appreciate the large selection and the outstanding customer service.

Ordered this boot because it came in a narrow width and have always worn Red Wings in the past. Only wore them a few times before going to the National Scout Jamboree where I was hiking W. Va rocky hills 8-10 miles a day for 14 days and have to say them saved my feet. Not one blister, hot spot or sore which I can not say about most other people there. Padding around the ankles and tongue is very good, allows you to tighten the laces for support and no rubbing or discomfort. Felt great, very light weight with med weight hiking socks. Would highly recommend these to anyone who wants a quality rugged hiker. Suffer from neuropathy which painful by itself and could not have made it through 2 weeks without them. Will buy another pair when these need retired but looking at the soles after 100 miles that is going to be quite a while as they hardly looked worn. Best boot I've ever owned.

Best hiker ever! Extremely comfortable, and a glove-like fit. No hot spots first time out. They stabilize my my stride and balance. Traction on all surfaces I've encountered, wet and dry.

Love these boots! I ordered the "B" width and they are just about perfect, no break-in needed. I will be doing extensive hiking/backpacking this summer and I think these will be very comfortable and provide adequate support for moderate trips.

We took a trip to the Grand Canyon in February so bought these for my kids and myself. (boy age 12, girls 15 and 18). All the reviews are right on! Lightweight, almost no break in period, grippy, stable, comfortable, warm but not too warm. At first my girls did not like them for a variety of reasons but by the end of a week living in them they didn't want to take them off.

For people like me who have a narrow foot, finding shoes that fit can be very frustrating. As usual, Zappos was able to help. This Lowa boot is available in many outdoor shops, but I could not find it in narrow until I tried Zappos. They were delivered in just a few days and are easily the most comfortable hiking, walking and motorcycling boots I have ever worn. The fit, quality of materials, and construction are outstanding. Well worth the cost for a quality product.

I've had these boots for about a month now, after having returned about four other pairs back to Zappos. I wear them for about 12 hours a day in a lab, mainly because the commute is often wet and cold these days. The boots serve well for cold weather to a point, but not below about 20 degrees F. However, since the boots aren't billed anywhere as being warm, I can't ding them for this. Thus far, they are completely waterproof, as described.

This boot is so comfortable that you could use it as a running shoe if you choose. Everything about it is top quality. I used it daily on a 15 day trip to Costa Rica in wet and dry terrain. They are the best boot I have owned.

Fantastic shoes: clearly well-made, firm sole with very good traction, and very comfortable. My feet require a large toe box, and these boots have sufficient space. I'd been buying Timberlands, but these boots are clearly superior.

This product was recommended by a friend who had hard to fit shoes. I have very narrow long feet and the boot fits very comfortably without my foot slipping around in it causing all kinds of problems.

Placed order on a Saturday and got them on the following Monday, it's almost obnoxiously fast! The boots are awesome! I generally have a hard time finding a good fit, but these were like a glove from the start.

This is the second pair of Lowas I've owened. Most comfortable dayhiker boots I've worn (right out of the box). High quality and light weight. You can't beat 'em!
