Good, sturdy boot. Fits well. Arch, however, is almost flat. I'll have to buy inserts to get proper arch support.

I am a female with a wide foot. I tried the Renegade in a D width and it was not wide enough. I tried the men's EE width and it was perfect. However, the men's version is made with a taller boot and it put the top part of the boot in a very uncomfortable place above my ankle. Returning, but I sure do wish I could have made it work.

I originally really liked these boots; light, comfortable out of the box. As so many have noted; they do need an insole as the one that comes with the boot is thin and insufficient. However; they stretched tremendously; and no longer fit. They will be going back and I am ordering a different size.

This is a very good boot. Light, well made and designed to be comfortable. Issues identified is that the medium width (non-wide size) is too narrow. The toecap is very low, so for those who have hammertoes or similarly shaped toes, it will be uncomfortable.

Bought the 14 wide for my husband who often wears a 14 or 15. The shoes were quite small and too narrow, very strange.

I have a long, narrow foot (13B) and these are the best fitting boots I could find. They are very comfortable and although only time will tell, they seem to be well constructed.

It's a mid weight boot that can handle steep rocky trails of the Adirondacks. They break in after a few miles. Good traction. Good overall foot support. The insole is terrible, but, I bought a fantastic insole from Redwing for 65 bucks and the Lowas are now terrific. Shouldn't have to be that way, but my feet are important to me. I would recommend them.

These are great boots, I have struggled to find good boots that are reasonably comfortable out of the box, so far these are very comfortable. I walk on average 30 miles a week, we will see how they hold up. They were expensive but I have found in footwear you get what you pay for as far as quality goes. They are very nice looking, also.

Nice looks, better support, in a hard to find width size. B or narrow size does not, seem to exist for most shoe manufactures.

Really liked the boots, but 10.5 months of age the stitching started to separate. Working on getting some warranty, which is 1 year. Zappo's is sending me a new pair of boots & I am to return the defective pair. Awsome!! That is what you call GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Zappo's also waving the price increase.

I usually wear a 11 1/2 narrow from all the shoes I have purchased from Zappos. In this otherwise excellent boot a 12 narrow was still too short. Otherwise these are very well made and worth the money. As usual, Zappos legendary customer service came through.

Worn for about 3 weeks on and off. Seems true to size. I added an additional insole because my feet have been bothering me before this. Much more comfortable than the Irish Setters I had previously. Constructions seems good, no leaks so far this winter. The shoelace hooks catch on other things once in awhile like the under side of my parking brake pedal or my other shoe if I cross my feet.

Quality and durable boot but for my slightly narrower than D width feet, it had too much heel slippage.

Great trail hiking boot with light ankle support and an insole that I replaced asap with one that was an improvement over the cardboard that came with them. No sarcasm on loving the boot, though stock insole is garbage.

Second pair of these boots. worked well in Italian Dolomites and Norway with ultralight pack. Laces are crap especially in expensive boots. First pair had rubber tread separation from leather at toe. Tread somewhat shallow. Gore tex works well. I use custom insoles. At 6'5 250 lbs and size 14, I am hard on boots. These have held up reasonably well.

Lowa is a great company for outdoor footwear. This model is no exception. The width options are great and run pretty true. Got these shoes well over a year ago. Out of the box, the shoes felt great. Absolutely waterproof in a variety of situations as long as water does not go above the height of the boot (obviously!). Outsole has worn some in the lugs, but sadly the heel areas on the outsoles of each boot have chipped off a few spots prematurely (many months ago, only a few after purchase), and other wear has popped up that is not usually present with Vibram, in my experience. Part of the reason for this is, I think, the "softness" of the sole as opposed to the "hardness" usually found in other Vibram outsoles. At any rate, the traction is good on all manner of surfaces. Ankle support is decent. Not the best given the nature of the shoes construction as lightweight, but restricts movement more than sneakers given you more stability when carrying any extra weight. Uppers have held up well, though fraying on the sides is apparent. Hot spots really depend on how you lace, specifically over the first D-Loops closest to the regular loops which affects your ankle movement. Even a smidge to tight, and because of the materials, you may rub your ankle a bit raw on a longer hike, even after break-in time should be long past. Overall, it's a solid boot with great width and size options. Only improvements, given the aforementioned would include more padding inside and a more durable Vibram outsole with a lug pattern less prone to premature chipping.

I normally wear a men's 11 and tried both 11 and 11.5 in this boot. The 11 was returned because my toes bumped up against the front the of boot. The 11.5 was returned because there was too much room. Quality seemed good, but they don't work for me due to sizing.

Everything was great except they came up too high on my calf. It caused quite a bit of pain since it strained my muscles when I walked. I'm only 5'5", so maybe they would work best for someone taller? Could have had more arch support as well.

If you have wide feet, avoid these boots! Right out of the box, they were pinching my forefoot without even putting weight on my foot. My Merrells are a quarter inch wider in the same size (10-1/2 wide) . I am looking for a boot with better arch support and thicker soles than the Merrells, but Lowa does not work for me.

Bought these in a size 10.5 and my toes touched the inside of the boot even with medium weight socks. Returned them and decided against going to a size 11 as usually this puts the arch support to far forward and not a big deal when trying on shoes in a store but a PITA when dealing with mail order situation. Hoped to replace my Solomon GTX boots that started to leak badly (common defect with the Solomon boots as it turns out) but will continue my search. Now with boots being made in Asia the quality control is sadly lacking.

Nice looking shoe but felt a lot wider than expected, and I tried the narrow width. Great shoe if you have really wide feet. I can't give it an overall great review because of that. It's a solid boot overall, but you probably can do better at a cheaper price. I like the Oboz better.

Medium Toe box leads to narrowing along the foot line to the ankle. For truly wide footed folks like me, this just didn't work out.
