I wear a 10, but ordered these in the 11 because in the smaller size the tongue pushed against my ankle, which is slightly swollen with scar tissue. These are so comfortable. It's strange that the Mary Jane style fits so much bigger. Why do shoe companies do this??? Thankfully with Zappos I can try on all the version with no risk!
Good support. Wish they were a lighter weight material so I could wear in hot weather, but will be a good shoe. They didn't have the darker color in my size so I went with the gray. It's fine. In a way looks a bit more casual though because the very casual sole looks dressed down. I like a versatile shoe for travel so I can go from walking all day to a nice restaurant.

I wanted to try a pair of Keens as I have friends that swear by them. However, these shoes make my feet look enormous. Apparently this extra-wide toe box it a part of the comfort, and they were super-comfortable. But I was looking for a cute/ casual that was also comfortable, and I just didn't like the way these looked with khakis or capris. I will be returning them.

They fit as sized and are comfortable though I swapped out the Keen insoles for Spenco insoles which made them more comfortable for me. I thought the fit around the shoe opening would be too tight, snug but not uncomfortable. Overall, a sturdy shoe for walking. Not the most attractive but they're functional.

Shoes felt great right from the start. Arch support isn't the best for flat feet though.

I am looking for comfortable shoes for travel/walking. I do no favor the outdoorsy look. I generally do not like to dress very casually. But my ankles have been injured and I am having trouble with my arches (and a hint of plantar fasciitis) so my more stylish shoes cause trouble for lots of walking while traveling abroad. These are not quite the style I want, but they are stable, supportive and I think they can blend in to look less causal. One big problem for me: the tongue is high. It is coming up and pressing into the front of my ankle. One on foot this is swollen with scar tissue so it is very uncomfortable. I have searched through hundreds of shoes on Zappos and am currently trying five different shoes on this order alone to find a good fit for this tall order. I am going to try them for a little bit and see. I hope I have a good final outcome.

I have rheumatoid arthritis in my toes, plantar fasciitis, neuropathy, high arches, high instep, a narrow heel, and wide foot. Finding a comfortable shoe I could wear all day at work seemed impossible--until I discovered Toyah. It is wide in the front, but still hugs my heel nicely. The greatest feature is a cushiony, soft spot for the ball of my foot. I think this is the best feature. I can stand and walk all day on concrete because of this feature, and the built in arch support. I sell shoes, but the brand I sell are typical women's shoes, and are very uncomfortable for someone with feet like mine. I measure a 7.5 wide, generally wear 8 wide shoes, but find that with Keen, I need an 8.5. Just not a long shoe, even though the toe box is generous. I also have the hikers and the sandals, they are all great. Keen is the best shoe for me, and the Toyah is wonderful.

Given the great reviews and the fact that I own and love a pair of Keen Voyager mids, I thought these would be a no-brainer. I have very high arches, limited flexibility in my feet and a tendency to supinate. So I need very cushioned but supportive shoes, and the Voyagers are hands-down the most comfortable shoes I own. I was going to get a low version of the Voyager, but the Toyah was so much better looking and the reviews so good I decided to try that instead. I even compromised on the color. However, the heel slips a lot, so I would have had to try Foot Petals or other correctors and hope they would fix the problem. I'd rather not do that with a hiking shoe, since the adhesive would attract dirt. Because of that, and since the color wasn't my first choice, I have decided to return these and try the Voyager. If it has the same heel-slip problem, I'll probably go back to the Toyah when the right color is available. A color note: Another reviewer pointed out that the slate black color is really a medium brown and the stripe is virtually unnoticeable. True on both counts. It's a really great neutral brown and you can't see the stripe. That's one thing that makes this particular color a little dressier looking than the others.

Very comfortable shoe once it's broken in a bit. The soles are really stiff in the beginning, but not uncomfortable. They loosen up pretty nicely, though I'm a little worried about the durability of the lighter-colored part of the sole. I've had the shoes a few weeks and there are already cracks where my foot flexes when I walk. I expect some creasing as soon as the sole starts to loosen, but these are actual cracks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they don't worsen quickly, because these are very comfortable and cute shoes.

I bought these to wear with jeans during the cold weather months. They are SO comfortable. The color is really nice--subtle enough to be neutral but prettier than black, brown, or grey. I walk to work, and these are great in the snow. The sole is pretty stiff, so they aren't super responsive on ice; however, they are not designed to be a performance shoe. They are great with casual jeans and khakis, and they add a nice touch of color.

These are good shoes for being very casual or outdoors. I bought them to see if I could wear them as casual shoes to work when I was pregnant but they are just too clunky and noticeably unprofessional for my office work place. Other than that they are comfortable but not particularly outstanding to me.

I bought these to wear to work in a retail environment where I stand 10+ hours a day. I have plantar fasciitis, fallen arches and slightly wide feet. My previous shoes (Keen Briggs) were just getting worn out after four years. I would have bought the Briggs again if they were available. Instead I got the Toyah. The toe-box isn't as wide as the Briggs. In the middle of my first day I almost thought I made a mistake. My toes felt pinched and constricted. By the second day they were fine. They are sleeker than the wide duck-footed Briggs. The Black Olive color is more of an olive green. I love the color, but they clash a little with almost every sock I own. Oh well, I wear them with black khaki pants and hardly anyone will see my socks. These are my fourth pair of Keens.

These were very comfy when I tried them. Unfortunately there's too much grey showing for work. Otherwise they were great! Sad to send them back!

Have wide feet. Felt pretty good right out of the box. They will take a little wearing to make them as comfy as my other Keens.

The 'toe box' is a little bit narrower than previous Keens I have had which was a bit disappointing because that is the thing about Keens that is so great.

I looked in several stores in my city and even the Keen website and could not find the shoe & size needed. But Zappos had my size in several colors. I love the shoes! I can't wait to get more colors. Zappos rocks!

One of my friends had bought these shoes, I saw her wearing them and fell in love so I hopped on Zappos and got them. These shoes and I had a love hate relationship for about a month. Loved the way they looked, but they just detroyed me feet. I had blisters everywhere. I kept wearing them in an attempt to finally break them in, but it took at least a month and a good greasing before i could wear them and be comfortable.

These shoes are a great walking shoe, if you want something closed up and a bit rugged. I need that for a few things that I'm doing this summer. I have serious injuries to both legs, knees and feet. I have tried on a zillion shoes from Zappos, and am finally keeping these. I can really use the help and support that these offer, even if I'd prefer something a bit more attractive. I've had Keens forever, so I'm not fundamentally against their kind of cuteness, it's just that I've wanted something more stylish for a while. These are not stylish, but they will do for hiking and keeping me safe. I'm hoping I will be presently surprised and that they will turn out to be go-to shoes for casual purposes. We shall see. Right now they are a bit stiff and serious.

These are very comfortable, and great for work. I teach, and am my feet all day. My feet do not feel fatigued after 9 hours of standing on a concrete floor.

These shoes fit my needs perfectly -- comfortable for hikes as well as walking around town. They don't look too sporty so I feel fine wearing them in the city, but they are still a bit too bulky to be considered trendy.

This is my 5th pair of Keens. I love Keen's because they are so comfortable for my wide foot. That is not true with the Toyah, it is really compared to all my other Keen's. This shoe is also very stiff compared to other Keen's therefore it is not as comfortable as I expected. Looks nice and very well made, just not the comfort and width that I expect from Keen.

I felt the shoe ran a little short. I ordered a half size up, and it feels a bit short.
The shoe is wide in the toe area, so that makes it comfortable for walking, and the support is good as well.

I work in healthcare and I am on my feet all day. I had an old pair of Keens that I had completely worn out and bought these to replace them. Seriously, Keens are the most comfortable wear-all-day shoes I have ever owned. Plus they are really cute!

These are not the most fashionable shoes, but they are 100% comfortable, which says a lot since I have flat feet. I normally do not sweat in shoes, but do find I get warm in these. I've owned these for a month now and still wear them most days.

Order up 1/2 size. I can rely on athletic 7's fitting me all the time. I had to send them back for a 7 1/2. Wore these shoes hiking moderate terrain in Italy and they were very comfortable on my wide, flat feet; I am extremely picky about shoes. They are cut higher on the sides so that they rubbed my ankle bones, but not horribly - it didn't cause blisters but you definitely feel it. I will take these on another hiking trip for sure.

These are comparatively cute shoes but as I have found with other Keen shoes, I have to remove the insole and replace it with something more comfortable. No biggie, just adds a few bucks to the price of the shoe.
