I bought this pair for my dad for his birthday after he commented on mine several times. I bought my pair from Zappos too. Cheapest price I found!

If you have wide feet, you may be surprised by how well these fit. I've always loved the look of soccer shoes but I've always avoided them because of my 2E wide foot. I decided to give these a shot and I could not be happier with them. I've only had them a few days but they were comfortable from the get-go. The shoes squeak because the tongue rubs against a small patch of leather near the top lace holes. Rub a bit of unscented hand lotion or mink oil there and the squeaking will stop.

Got these for my husband and he loves them. Though he has a wide foot and are a bit tight, he still loves them

SQUEAK! SQUEAK! SQUEAK! I've been wearing these for several weeks and walked over 20 miles in them, and they still are squeaking so loud I can hardly stand it! I had another pair of Sambas a few years ago, and the material has definitely changed. The sole seemed more plastic than the softer rubber I remember, and squeaking is AWFUL. I've never had a pair of shoes that squeaked like this. I'm going to attempt to use hand lotion on the tongue as one of the other reviewers suggested and see if that helps, but should that really be required?!

These are comfortable and look pretty good. There's not a whole lot of arch support but for a casual shoe it's good enough. The only problem I have is that they are extremely squeaky, especially when new. This is apparently a common problem with these shoes and there are several different solutions proposed if you search.

This is the return of the Samba. Not sure how long Adidas has been selling this shoe as the Samba "Original", but it beats the Samba "Classic" before you even put the shoe on. I'm in my late 30's and have been wearing the Samba OCD religiously for three decades, and for at least half that time Sambas just weren't what I remembered. This is that shoe again, fits like a glove, sits low and sleek on the foot...you'll never feel more retro. The top of the heel with the Adidas name and original logo complete the shoe beautifully. Before I go into anaphylaxis over these shoes though, I must say it feels ever so slightly cheaply built. Especially the tongue. I'm guessing the life of the shoe is two years tops wearing them 2 or 3 times a week. Adidas would (and should) make a killing making a more expensive, supple kangaroo leather version of this shoe for $100 a pop. Does that break the elation about the style / fit? Not for those of us who remember and were made Samba addicts by the original decades ago.

This is the classic Samba, as advertised. It does squeak like crazy due to being a bit stiff right out of the box. But should quiet down as it softens up.

This is as close as you are going to get with Freddie Mercury's iconic Adidas shoe look. First off, they squeak to wake the dead. Second, they feel fantastic. Thirdly I really like how the tongue does not move to one side (yet). And lastly I think this is a staple in Adidas much like the high top is to Converse and Vans simple design. These shoes feel good on the heel, feel flat when you stand and do not make walking a chore (and by that I mean that the shoes move well with your feet). Get these shoes. They feel nice and light, and as mentioned before come as close to Freddy Mercury's Adidas.

This is my 5th pair of Adidas Sambas in the last 10 years. I love them and wear them pretty much daily until I break them. They're comfortable and attractive. My only complaint is that they don't typically sell them in women's sizes anymore.

I really like this shoe. The only problem I had was the leather tore on the inside of the left shoe, right where the toe bends. Never snagged it on anything, just tore under normal wear after 2 weeks.

Only problem about this shoe is that is squeaks but like others say easily fixed with a wet towel rubbed on the leather area that rubs against the tounge and takes a bit to wear into but like most shoes this is always the case. Over all, the comfort is awesome, I walk a lot and I had no problem, they fit very well and go with a lot of outfits.

Classic shoe for any casual purpose. Comfortable without loosing its sleek look. Also a great shoe to play indoor soccer with.

I got these primarily to wear as street shoes, and they have been exactly what I hoped for - comfortable and stylish. There has been the dreaded rubbing sound, but that has decreased with each wear to the point where it is not annoying anymore.

Comfortable with just the right amount of arch support and not so little as the Converse All Stars, which caused me some pain after lots of walking, but not so much as walking shoes, which I find uncomfortable. All-around great shoe, with great quality, too.

I liked the look of this shoe a lot...but there were a couple of things that were problems for me and led to my returning the pair. The tongue is sectioned into 3 sections, with the sides folding under the center. The way the shoe was packed accentuates this fold and it was very difficult to get my foot into the shoe and not have the tongue folded deep down into the shoe. Length and width felt fine... but the shoe was actually "short" for me. My big toe didn't have enough height inside the shoe to really fit, despite clearly having some length to spare in the shoe. I did like the look and other aspects, but the "height" issue specifically was a dealbreaker.

Nice shoes. They seem more durable than the other Sambas with the long tongue (I think those may be fake leather). The shoe seems durable enough. Unlike the other Sambas, the back of the heel on the inside of the shoe is leather and not fabric, so it won't get torn up after sliding your foot in the shoe one too many times.

This is my 4th pair of classic Adidas, and comparing it to the Grand Prix, Spezial and the Seely. The Sambas are much lower than your average low tops. Though comfortable, there's little to no cushioning for the sole. Forget about arch support. I didn't have the problems of squeaking as mentioned by the other reviewers. Overall, it doesn't hurt my feet, but it doesn't support it either. You'll just have to decide if you want to suffer a bit for the sake of style.

This shoe never gets old! Whether you play indoor soccer or just like the style, these are a must have. These shoes are durable; lasting multiple seasons whether its game play, or casual. Most people I know will have a pair last them at least a couple of years with mild to moderate wear.

I love these shoes! Like what other reviews are saying, the tongue is stiff when you first wear it and squeaks but it's not that big of a deal. The shoes are super comfortable and the blue and red details make you look semi dressy even if you are wearing jeans and a hoody.

Narrower than marked on! But it was absolutely fit on me! And it really goes with casual pants if you want to make it fashionable style! Just take this on! Go out! 100% guarantee!

Love these. Have had Sambas for years- when the sole cracked on my last pair- I got a replacement. They're stylish, comfortable and can be worn with anything!

I bought these in a size 9 for my boyfriend. He's been a Samba fan forever, having played soccer in high school and college. In fact, these were a replacement for a pair he'd been wearing (not for soccer, anymore) for over two years. They last a long time, and break in easily. The leather is high quality, the sole is low-pro, and the look is just so classic. Great shoe. Note - he normally wears an 8 1/2, so be prepared to size up a half size for these.

These shoes are as comfortable as they are functional; however, as others have mentioned they do take a little bit of breaking in. Lotion does wonders to stop the initial squeaking.

A great, comfortable shoe. I think the fit is true to size. Not a lot of arch support... but still comfortable for a lot of walking. They do squeak a little bit as they are breaking in; a bit of leather conditioner where the tongue rubs against the shoe itself helps. I sprayed a heavy coat of leather/suede protector before wearing for the first time... they look great even after fighting rain and puddles.
