What can I say? These are classic Sambas. The "Originals" designation differs from the regular current-model Sambas in that they still have the Adidas 3-leaf logo on the back of the shoe, and in blue on the tongue. Great shoes. Like all Adidas, I'd say they run a bit small - I usually wear 10.5 in other brands but 11 in Adidas.

For all the women soccer players out there: I usually wear a women's 7.5 in everyday shoes. If you plan to wear these sambas with soccer socks (which are thicker than normal socks), order your normal size. I ordered a women's 7.5 and they are working perfectly for me.

I like the look of these shoes and comfortable too. My only issue is that they squeak quite a bit as I walk around, and this has gotten a little louder after a few weeks wear. I read some solutions in other comments but haven't tried them yet.

Good shoes - had the Samba Millennium before and like those better, but they didn't have my size so I got the classic. The only real difference is the shortness of the tongue and the fact that the Classic has far less support. I wear them for playing and coaching soccer.

As a woman with really large feet, these shoes are a good alternative to typical women's shoes. I buy men's size 11 which fit my women's size 12 feet. They are very comfortable and break in well without causing blisters.

Get half a size larger than your normal size. These are great shoes that are incredibly durable. They last forever.

These shoes are great! They squeak a little at first but after putting some leather conditioner on the tongue, the problem was solved. Comfortable, warm and pretty waterproof for what they are!

The shoes are cool and comfortable. They do squeak as others mentioned, but by some saddle soap and smear it on the tongue and then the problem is fixed. Sizes run a little small. I am typically a true 10, and the 10.5 on these shoes fit great. Adidas typically runs 1/2 size smaller I have found. Cool shoes for the money. Gives you a cool European look and not so Nike swoosh-sell-out-look. Wore them around Rome for 6 days and they needed no breaking in at all. Great shoe for the price.

I have worn Sambas for years and my last pair was worn to rags. I had a difficult time finding Sambas until I found Zappos. The Sambas are exactly as expected, great shoes for multiple sport and casual uses. Sambas are also great driving shoes. In fact, for performance car guys (and girls) Sambas work better for road course driving (manual transmission) than actual driving shoes. Sambas allow the driver to feel and grip the pedals during up shifting and downshifting. Sambas! Great shoes!

I bought these shoes for futsal and for the classic looks. Also assumed it was a safe choice since these shoes exists for decades now, so they must be good. At first they seemed okay except for the pretty loud squeaking sound they make with every step. I solved that with a bit of handlotion on the squeaking parts. Biggest problem with these shoes however is the fact that the tongue shifts to the side when playing futsal which is very uncomfortable.

Fit great, very comfortable. Easy to slip on and can wear them anywhere. Sometime the tongue of the shoe slips over to the outside too much but besides that it's pretty much one of the best pairs of shoes I've owned.

I was looking for an acceptable approximation of the Otomix shoes worn by the The Dude in The Big Lebowski. These are visually passable, but VERY wearable and comfortable.

Bought these for my husband's birthday to replace his worn out pair. Unfortunately, even though they say Originals, they are not an exact match. He says the tongue is all wrong (it doesn't fold over the laces) and there is a logo on the back of the shoe that is not on his old pair. He's gonna keep them because they are still a comfortable fit, but I wish I had paid closer attention to the differences in the shoe's design.

I found these Sambas to be comfortable and well built. I have owned several pairs now, and in that time the leather has held up excellently, maintaining their color and stitching even with heavy use. Not even a single stitch had come undone on my last pair after a year of hard outdoor use, and, unlike other Adidas I have had, the soles did not delaminate at all

Classic sneaker. While I wouldn't recommend these for someone exercising tons, they are a great hang around shoe. A little sturdier than your typical sneaker/sport shoe, the Samba is well constructed and can be worn in colder or wetter weather no problem.

This is an international classic. I found the the classics (with the large tongue) to be a slightly more comfortable shoe. Not that I have that much of an issue with the Original Samba Leather. They are great shoes.

Compatible yes, comfortable no. In my opinion this shoe is the epitome of sacrificing comfort for style. Are they extremely uncomfortable? Not at all. However, if they didn't suit my style so much they wouldn't be a shoe I'd wear often. Again this is just me. I also believe Adidas is well aware they are a sought after model so they have the ability to mark up the price. I've worn cheaper sneakers that are more comfortable than these and appeared to have similar quality. But with this being said I would buy these shoes again. They are so compatible with an array of outfits and they simply never seem to get dated.

Tongue is super thin and made cheaply plus is too long making contact with the front of my ankle; however, too short to fold over laces. Doesn't dig in but its annoying. The heel comes out of the shoe even with laces tied tight and all ports being used. I have a normal sized foot and shoe just doesn't feel right.

I got these for playing indoor soccer and they do the job well. They're classics and I've been wearing Adidas for years with no complaints. Just beware for casual Adidas sneakers (Dragon) I wear a 13, but in these I needed a 12.5.

These shoes do squeak a lot at first, but with some conditioner and baking soda mine have been quiet. They only squeak now when they're wet or it's raining out. I love the style of this shoe since it's versatile. However, after about a year or so of wearing them, the backs of the shoes have started falling apart, making them harder to put on. Definitely suggest using a shoe tongue when putting these shoes on to make them last longer! I also put arch supports in, and the shoe still fit really well!

The shoes are great and super comfortable and good looking. They do squeak but that goes away.

I bought my adidas sambas from you and as usual, shipping was prompt and the shoes looked great. I have purchased at least 10 pairs of shoes in the past several years and I will continue to do so.

A classic. They seem to run true to width, but order a 1/2 size larger. The only reason that I gave them 4 stars overall is due to the squeaking but a bit of hand lotion on the tongue seems to have solved that issue.

Been getting the Sambas for about 20yr. Here lately I haven't been finding my size at Academy. Coming to Zappos has been easy, fast shipping and seems to have the size I need. Love the shoes. I where everyday on construction sites and put them through a lot. They would last me about 6mo. Very good shoes.
