I got them in grey, and so far, they've been pretty good. I did order a size larger than what I'd likely wear in a regular shoe, and that worked out about right. This shoe is not very wide, and I have a pretty wide foot, so I have to leave it kind of loose. If I cinch them up too much, it is uncomfortable. I also have a fairly flat foot, and at first, the sole of this shoe felt like it had more dips and divots than I was going to like, but as I've worn them, it has sort of started to conform to my foot (or my foot to it?). Either way, they feel better now than they did when I first bought them. It is a nice looking shoe, but I'm sort of wishing now that I had just gone with a leather Keen of some variety...I don't much like the gray on my feet, but they do look nice. It is just a personal preference, I suppose. They are comfortable, but after a long day of shopping/following the wife around, my feet and legs do start to feel tired in these...but for a normal day, they seem just fine.

If anyone else is trying to figure out which kind of Keens to get (like I was!) These Kanyons are indeed well suited for activities in and around water. They are more lightweight and seem slightly less substantial than the Newport H2. The fit is a little longer (I'm guessing the H2s run about a half size shorter), yet the Kanyons seem slightly narrower than the H2s at the mid-foot and forefoot area. (Maybe this is to keep them snug on your feet if your walking in water?) The Kanyons also are a little easier to get on and off than the H2s. Personally, I didn't think the Kanyon footbed was as comfortable as the H2, but I think Kanyons were not built for the wider spectrum of wear/use that the H2s are built for. Hope this helps!

Zappos shipped them for free and very quickly. I ordered this shoe for a lightweight sandal for summer walking and also for wearing on boats or at the beach so I can get them wet and not worry about ruining them. I got what I wanted. They are lightweight. There is very little arch support, so I would not wear these if I was going to be walking long distances. I really like the styling and they are very airy. I am a woman and usually wear a men's 8 1/2, so that's what I ordered (I have a wide foot for a woman, so I usually buy men's shoes). The strap at the little toe is a tad tight on both shoes, so I am wearing them with very thin socks to break them in. I can already tell the toe strap has stretched a tiny but...just enough for them not to bind at the little toe. So, this is why I indicated that they run a little narrow. But they will be fine after a few days of breaking them in. The color I ordered (slate black/harvest gold) is not nearly as reddish brown as in the pictures, but only brown. I like the color though. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I think if I want a pair of sandals for long walks or hiking, then I'll buy the Keen Newports. But, for casual walks on warm summer days, these are great.

These are great but if Keen is listening, what I really want is another pair with the open heel. I have a 6+ year old pair that are wearing out and they don't seem to make them anymore.

Minor flaw - overall very happy. Near the heel strike area, the Keen logo is imprinted via molding. There were small tabs (?) on both shoes in this area that were uncomfortable on my feet. I shaved them off with a sharp blade - then the shoes were great. Spent a few days in Cabo, wore them walking to downtown, at the beach, on jet skis, at the pool, etc. No signs of wear yet. Good toe protection, arch support, and anti-skid.

These are great for the outdoor/amphibious environment. The toe protection makes them great for biking too. My feet were rubbed a bit raw by the straps on the side, but it just takes a little toughening up and then these shoes are completely worth it. I ordered them half a size smaller to get a snug fit. No sense in them flopping around while you are running through the woods.

I've had several pairs of Keen shoes before but this is my first pair of sandals. I've run through countless pairs of Tevas and Chacos. These are the only river sandals I've ever had that were comfortable straight out of the box. None of the year long break-in period or necessity to jam sand in the straps like with Chacos. I took a pair down the Grand Canyon and they performed admirably. They dry fast, are super comfy, and the toe protection is invaluable. You can bash through even the brushiest side canyon with aplomb and scramble up talus slopes without fear of bashing your toes. Unfortunately, the comfort of Keen's does come with a price. Moderate scrambling/climbing is difficult in Keen's because 1) the footbed is too floppy; 2) the boxy toe makes edging difficult; 3) the sole is -- bizarrely -- extremely slippery when wet. Of these, I really hope that Keen could fix 1 and 3. That said, I'll never be going back to Tevas or Chacos. As for size, these sandals seem to run at least a half size too large.

After wearing them around the house for four days I've decided to keep them. Cinched up, they are nice and snug with no slippage. Kept loose they can easily be slipped on to go get the mail. The extra arch support was a little getting used to but I now think I could walk all day in them. I was looking for a comfortable sandal that I could wear in or out of the water and I think I found it. I would suggest ordering half a size up, though.

These shoes were perfect for my month-long vacation in Southeast Asia - comfortable enough to walk around, open enough to not get too hot, and closed enough for protection. The size was far too large for me, and I ended up having to return 2 pairs to get one that worked for me. There was also a small area on one of shoes that poked into me until I put in an insert, which fixed the problem. After I fixed that, I could wear them pretty constantly throughout the day. They don't feel like they offer much in the way of arch support, so I ended up using inserts that were designed for high-heels to provide the extra support. Overall, I would recommend these shoes.

I was looking for a replacement for my old Keen sandals, about 5 years old and perfect. This pair, the Kanyon, was at least a half size too big and not as supportive as the old pair. Is Keen cheap on quality? I sure hope not. They are brighter green than I expected, but that is mostly okay with me.

I wanted a dressier version of the H2\'s I already had and had nearly worn out from daily use. These look nicer and are lighter but a little less rugged than the H2\'s. They look great with jeans or shorts though and so I keep them for more genteel pursuits than what I use the H2\'s for. One other thing: my feet feel warmer in these than in the more open H2\'s.

Bought them for my somewhat picky teenager son who resists sandals. He likes them, finds them to be comfortable and wears them on hot days.

This is the 2nd pair of Keen sandals I've bought. The first pair was a number of years ago when they first came out. Still have that pair and prefer them to the current redesign. This one is lighter weight, not as good protection for your toes and not quite as comfortable to wear for all day. I could see where the redesign might be preferable because the originals were quite heavy but the lighter weight redesign doesn't have as nicely padded sole. I love the look of these shoes. They're easy to put on and take off and if you don't have the original model to compare it to you'll think they're wonderful.

Unfortunately I have to return it. Entering the shoe is difficult since there is no elastic in the back. Not easy to slip on. Shoe is well made though and a good design.

I love Keen shoes but I had to return these because they are too narrow. The straps are not at edge of the sole but about 1/8 inch inside the edge and make them uncomfortable on my foot. Too bad, I like the look and the color.

I reviewed my previous pair in March '11 but will have to reduce my previous 2-star rating to 1-star. The second pair suffered a rip in the same area (where heel strap attaches to the footbed). I was standing in deep mud and when I took a step, I felt the section rip. Despite what the picture suggests, the two heel section straps do not connect underneath your heel. Instead, they are simply sewn to the rubber. If you want a comfortable sandal for grabbing coffee or shuffling around a park, these are perfect. If you actually plan to get dirty and wet on a daily basis, try something else. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but for this price, these sandals should last 10+ years. Keen will probably replace this pair the way they did my first (kindly) but it doesn't change my analysis of the product.

I've been a Keen fan for years. As a yogi, I have fairly wide feet and Keens are wider-than-average, so I love them. I've had this pair for a few weeks and have found them more comfortable and lighter than other Keens that I've had. they spent a weekend in the woods and performed wonderfully. There is little artificial arch in the soles, which works great for me (I love barefoot).

My husband LOVES these, and he does not like sandals. He believes men should not show their toes! Anyway, he has had 2 hip replacements and these are very comfortable for him to wear and they keep his feet cool. They are not as bulky as some of their other sneaker/sandals. Keen is a great product!

Another great Keen. I've had the Newports and the Venice before, this one is much lighter but without I feel losing support. Little bit narrower than Venice. Color note: they look kind of brown in the picture, they are totally grey, no brown at all.

I was/am a fan, but i confess I expect everything to last forever! I bought a pair in spring 2011 to replace another brand that smelled extremely foul after 2 weeks of use and I was quite happy with the keens UNTIL the heel section pulled out from between the footbed and the sole ..no obviously easy way to fix that .but I got nearly 4 years of moderate use out of them and the tread was somewhat worn.

Favorite shoes of the summer. I was going to return them because I thought they were a little narrow. I am 3-4E. I let them sit and tried them again a month later. Don't know what I was thinking. I loved these and will definitely buy again. That said, they may run a bit wide.

I have wide feet and high arches so these Keens are one of the only styles of sandal that fit my feet. Thank you Keen and thank you Zappos!
