Soles are so thin you can feel every stone and stick through the bottom. Made for town. Whoever designed these never wore them on a gravel road. ** You have been warned**
This company feels like a bottom rung brand now. You pay a premium for the name, and they deliver something awful, and apparently don't care. (Purchased a super cheap pair of slip-on walking shoes today and they have a firmer sole than these boots.) Avoid these at any price. another gut-punch to American Consumers. Yay, board of directors - you got us again...
I wrote "Ask an Expert" last week and never heard back - but immediately started getting spam for Ariat Clothing. C'mon you guys...Please don't offer if your aren't willing to answer. Such as slap in the face from a once beloved brand.

I thought these were the best boys I had ever purchased. They are comfortable, lightweight, have a wide size I need and block heel. Absolutely amazing. Then in a little over a month they started coming apart at the seam of both toe boxes. The uppers are separating from the heel. Very disappointed. Could I at least get an exchange?

Have had multiple pairs waterproof and standard types. They fit great, wonderful to ride with and are comfortable shoes. However they always come apart around the toe. Some pairs only lasting a few months. I actually ride endurance horses and the shoes work wonderfully for riding long distances. But they just don't hold up around the black material used for the toe. The rest of the boot will still be in great shape but the toes will be complely gone in just a few months. Seems that the company could do something to improve their product so that the toes would last as long as the rest of the boot.

Bought these for the daily hikes I do with my dog through canyons. They felt comfy but as soon as I tried walking in them my heel was lifting off the base. I'm going to have to return them.

I bought the exact same pair roughly 6 years ago in Montana and absolutely loved them. Moved to Nebraska a bought a pair on-line, the exact pair. This new pair feels so much cheaper as if they're trying to save a buck at the expense of the customer. If I would have known I would not have spent the money. Maybe the more expensive pair have is the better quality product.

I have bought 8 pair over the last 5 years, feet never felt so good. They last 8 months and then leather upper breaks away from synthetic sole be hide toe of shoe.

I bought my first pair a while back and I LOVED them so bought a replacement pair. Although they fit well, it is apparent the quality isnotwhat itused tobe when they were made in theUS I can wear them all day like I could wear my other pair. They are now being used for mowing my lawn (I have a riding mower)

I'm on my second pair of these boots. They are very comportable, but the stitching doesn't last, each pair, the stitches failed in the sameplace,at the sides where the black toe guard meets the brown leather. They are good for 5 months that's it.

I like these boots, but the plastic toes peeled off after a few months. Not high quality. They would be better if they were all leather

I have been a Ariat fan for a really long time. But my last purchase has me very disappointed. I bought Ariat's Terrain shoe and I am on my second pair within a month and they both have fallen apart. Between the sides coming apart and the tip of the shoe where the sole meets to the top of the shoe pulling apart. I will not buy these again. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed in this boot. I've worn Terrains for decades and loved them in the past. This one was so uncomfortable I threw them in the trash where they belong. What's up Ariat?

The quality of these shoes has dropped tremendously. I have had close to 20 pair of these. I've went through 4 pair in the last year because they haven't held up. Im disappointed!

I have worn these about 2 dozen times. Must have snagged my toe on something as the toe cap rubber tore Looking at it, it is very thin.I have had other brand hiking shoes that I wore out the sole and the toe cap looks new still. Very disappointed

I have had several pairs of these shoes with no issue, but the the last pair that I bought completely fell to pieces in less than 3 months, I only wear these shoes to work in an office, and am not rough on them.
I feel like maybe they had a bad batch.

The black toe and heel protection is NOT protection at all, it's of a material that degrades and self-destructs within 5 months where it joins the sole. The soles still look like new but the shoes are DONE. Classic China.
Seriously...Don't waste your money.

These were my 5th pair of terrains since switching from Wolverine. Shoes are fine but the return policy on their mistake is the worst I have seen. I do not recommend buying them. Horrible customer service.

My boots look almost identical to the pictures of the other 1-star reviews. Especially Rlorek57 photos, I thought they were mine at first glance. Toes almost completely gone, sole starting to separate, in all, the boots are falling apart. This started all within 2 months of wearing. I called company, had receipt in hand, they were to email me a link to file a claim, nothing. I called back, they said they would send it again, I looked all day and nothing. I have given up on the return and will just take a loss on the boots. Very dissatisfied in what I thought were supposed to be good boots, I would NOT recommend buying this boot.

If you are looking for boots that will last. These are not the boots for you. I had them for not even 5 months and they have already fallen apart and leather ripping apart. Other shoes/boots the offer are better than these. If you work an office job and take your shoes off once your shift ends. These might be the right ones for you
