Great shoe wears well. Have several friends who will only wear these. They don't hold up to normal wear and tare. We all have to buy a pair 2-3 times a year. Same issue on all the black part around the toes comes unglued. My last pair came unglued 2 months after I got them :(

Bought these boots a couple weeks ago, and with the warm weather, I haven't really had a chance to break them in and get a feel for them.

Less than 5 uses and the leather is starting to crack and laces are worn out.
I had high hopes for these boots and spending the extra money on a quality product fell short in my opinion.
1) The Toe Cap leather is already cracked and crumbling and is not natural leather, some sort of synthetic leather with a cloth backing. The leather has crumbled away at the bending points of the toe cap
2) The Leather Eyelets and Laces are already wearing thin, either the laces are about to break or to the eyelets will be completely worn through.
3) Zero insulation in cold temps.

I love these boots, they are comfortable, and light weight. IMy boots usually last a year or so as I do not wesr them everday. I am dissapointed in this result.

Bought these in April and by the end May the toes have dry rotted and come apart. I only use them in evening and weekends. These do not show the quality I've come to expect from Airat.

Please Please Please change the cheap material on the toe guard!!!!!!!! I have a whole closet full of these boots and the toe guard is always what fails first within a few months. One bend in the toe guard and it's over. A stiff piece of leather would be better than whatever is being used. Surely you can find something that lasts better than that. I have Jersey Knit T-shirts that are tougher than the black stuff you use for a toe guard. So close to having a good boot. Where is the quality control?????

I ordered a D size width and after wearing them a week or so they stretched out very wide. They felt like a EE or more. I had to put them up. I can't wear them because they slip on my feet to bad. Not happy.

I am over all not impressed. I was hoping for a comfortable boot for work on concrete floors but my feet still hurt at the end of the day. I generally buy more expensive work boots and I feel that with the Terrain it comes back to the saying, "you get what you pay for."
As far as quality of wear and craftsmanship, I'm not sure since I've only wore them for three weeks.
With these being my first pair of boots from Ariat, I'm not sure I'd buy another pair.

2 STARS **. My last Review from 9 months ago was a *** 3 Star. I'm dropping a star on these shoes. Looking at all the Reviews with the same complaints and ARIAT has NOT improved the poor quality. Bought another pair and the same thing. Rubber Toe Cap is seperating and the leather is tearing on the outside of the foot, where the rubber and leather meet --> --> The following Review was submitted 9 months ago. Comfortable. Not Durable. Bought two pair (7 months ago), so that I can switch boots daily. Daily activity is on non-rugged terrain. Toe is separating. This appears to be a common issue, as to there are several other Reviews addressing/ complaining separation issues. I would expect quality and durability of a boot half of the price of these boots. I would probable purchase a replacement pair of boots every 7 months for half the price of these boots. Are there any recommendations for repairing the separation?
No, I do not recommend this product.

I'm gonna join the cheap toe cap parade. It began within months of purchase. Gave a 2 because everything else is great. I just expected better considering the price.
Tried to add an image but it flashed and disappeared so I'll send under separate cover.

Huge fan in the past. I've had this pair about 2 weeks and they are getting white patches all over them. I've only worn to work an never in the rain...Super disappointed.

Love the fit and feel of these shoes. But, I have owned two pairs and both have failed in this toe seam after about 8 months. Won't buy again. Seam is failing on both shoes, plenty of toe room, and no abusive treatment of this area of the shoe.

Love the fit and the tread is great for being on a metal roof. With that being said.... I've only worn them a month and the quality isn't keeping up. They already look like I'm 4 months in to heavy wear. Also extremely disappointed there are not lace hooks to make taking of and putting on boots quickly.

Soles are so thin you can feel every stone and stick through the bottom. Made for town. Whoever designed these never wore them on a gravel road. ** You have been warned**
This company feels like a bottom rung brand now. You pay a premium for the name, and they deliver something awful, and apparently don't care. (Purchased a super cheap pair of slip-on walking shoes today and they have a firmer sole than these boots.) Avoid these at any price. another gut-punch to American Consumers. Yay, board of directors - you got us again...
I wrote "Ask an Expert" last week and never heard back - but immediately started getting spam for Ariat Clothing. C'mon you guys...Please don't offer if your aren't willing to answer. Such as slap in the face from a once beloved brand.

I thought these were the best boys I had ever purchased. They are comfortable, lightweight, have a wide size I need and block heel. Absolutely amazing. Then in a little over a month they started coming apart at the seam of both toe boxes. The uppers are separating from the heel. Very disappointed. Could I at least get an exchange?

Have had multiple pairs waterproof and standard types. They fit great, wonderful to ride with and are comfortable shoes. However they always come apart around the toe. Some pairs only lasting a few months. I actually ride endurance horses and the shoes work wonderfully for riding long distances. But they just don't hold up around the black material used for the toe. The rest of the boot will still be in great shape but the toes will be complely gone in just a few months. Seems that the company could do something to improve their product so that the toes would last as long as the rest of the boot.

Bought these for the daily hikes I do with my dog through canyons. They felt comfy but as soon as I tried walking in them my heel was lifting off the base. I'm going to have to return them.

I bought the exact same pair roughly 6 years ago in Montana and absolutely loved them. Moved to Nebraska a bought a pair on-line, the exact pair. This new pair feels so much cheaper as if they're trying to save a buck at the expense of the customer. If I would have known I would not have spent the money. Maybe the more expensive pair have is the better quality product.
