these are gorgeous boots, they're comfy once their on, but they took a little work to get on. I think I need a zipper in my riding boots to wear them over jeans.

Oh my. What can I say? The soft leather. The amazing smell. And so comfortable right out of the box. These are my first pair of Frye's...been wanting them for a LONG time and it was well worth the wait. The term "bench crafted" says it all. Go for it...splurge...you deserve it! You will wear these more often than you think!

Beautiful boots! Super soft leather, very comfortable although I got a blister on the back of my right heel within an hour of wearing them for the first time. I'm hoping they break in with more wear and it doesn't continue to happen.

Very nice boots, but I found the shaft to be too big (and I do not have narrow/skinny calves).

I lusted for months over these boots, finally got them while they were on sale. Upon opening the box the smell of fine leather was intoxicating. They slipped on and fit perfectly. No wonder these get 5 stars! Wonderful,

This is my second pair of Melissa Buttons and they are, without a doubt, the best and most comfortable boots I've ever owned! My first pair is like wearing slippers around! Love these boots!

I have a couple of these Frye boots and I think they are very comfortable and well made. This time I chose the slate washed antique finish, which turned out to be much lighter than I anticipated, but they still look great as a "not black" boot. I also have the cognac color, which is more of a reddish brown. They fit my wide foot, though I will probably take them to get stretched a little more.

I was admiring theses boots for months, if that's you too; just pull the trigger. You'll love them! They are beautiful! I bought the fatigued oiled suede and they are gorgeous. I originally ordered my normal 7 1/2, but had to return them as I could not get my high in-step in the boot (there is no zipper). I called Zappos and wow, their awesome customer service sent out a size 8, without re-charging my credit card!!! They simply waited for my returned pair and did an even exchange! The size 8 was much easier to slide my foot into. They may be a little roomier than I like, but with socks on they fit fine. I love these Frye boots!

Love the color! I was looking for a grey boot and first tried the Paige in the grey, but it seemed more brown than grey. This boot is stylish, comfortable and meets my color requirement. When searching for a grey boot, don't just search under "grey". The color names can be unique. These have been comfortable from Day 1 and are true to size. I wanted the Burgandy (looks red in the photos) but it was out of stock. I asked for an alert to be sent me when it came back available. I got notified today that 1 was in stock. I didn't have to wait but a few days for notification. Guess what? I snapped up that pair immediately and Zappos will have it to me in a flash. The Burgandy will be my 3rd pair of Frye boots and I get compliments whenever I wear them. Kudos to Zappos and Frye!

These are beautiful boots. My angst with ordering them online was over the calf width. My calves measure 14.5 and the boots are 15 (stated measurement). They are a little snug. Just the slightest bit. Don't think I would've ordered the wide version...but now feel like I need to lose 10 pounds. Well, I actually already knew that :/ The quality is unbeatable and they look feel and smell amazing. I wear a 7 and the 7s fit perfectly on my foot. They are beautiful.

I love my Melissa's! Gorgeous leather and can be easily dressed up or down! Get them, you won't regret it!

I have the black and just ordered the beige washed antique in the Melissa Button. I've had my black ones for four years and they just get better every wear. Honestly wore them for the first time to an SEC football game and tailgating all day and they never hurt my feet! Run true to size. Most comfortable boots I own! Also have the Frey Cara short booties and they are just as comfortable. I get more complements on my boots. You definitely get what you pay for with this brand.

This is my first pair of Frye boots - I wanted some brown leather boots and decided to splurge based on all of the positive reviews. I wear a size 12, and am either a medium or wide, depending on the shoe. I wasn't sure if I could wear these boots, but I am very pleased that not only can I wear them, they are actually comfortable. It has taken a bit of breaking in around a slight bunion on my right foot. There is also a spot that rubs on my heel, but I have been wearing them around the house and once the leather warms up, they are fine. The leather is absolutely gorgeous, and they fit my calves enough to tuck in some jeans. I am so happy with this purchase and I know that they will last for many years.

I bought two pairs of frye Melissa boots in cognac smooth leather and Dark brown smooth leather both in my original size 7.. Fit true to size, however the dark brown pair came with a few scuffs and scratches and were not packaged correctly which caused the top shafts to fold and crease., I immediately called Zappos and they immediately send me another pair at zero cost. Their customer service is amazing and have all good things to say about zappos.

Great boots! They look awesome and are comfortable. They are a little slippery though, and a challenge to put on without a zipper.

These boots are super cute, and fit my foot and calf great, despite not having a zipper up the calf. I love the color. I love the style because they have a nod to cowboy boots without being in your face, They go almost up to my knee, which I like. One strange thing worth mentioning:I ordered these in both gray and brown in the same size and width, and mysteriously, the brown ones fit differently. There was a lot of extra room around the ankle in the brown ones, they looked strange, so they are going back.

I've been looking for tall brown boots for a very long time and nothing seemed to fit properly. I was a little hesitant to make the purchase, I never spent so much on a pair of boots but I'm very happy I did. The boots are a perfect fit! Loved everything about them, the color, the style, the fit and the way they looked with jeans; they weren't bulky and they didn't have a gap between the boot and jeans that often time boots tend to do. This is my first pair of Frye boots and I'm in love.

I bought these boots in Beige Washed Antique and Dark Brown Washed Antique because I couldn't decided on a color and ended up keeping them both! The leather is incredibly soft and smells divine. I typically wear between a 7 & 7.5. I ordered a 7.5 since I'll be wearing thicker socks in the winter, and they fit perfectly. The shaft is a teeny bit tight at the top of my calf but not uncomfortably so, and I think they'll stretch once I wear them a time or two. I was hesitant to spend so much $$$ on boots but am glad I bit the bullet and did. They're incredible!
