I have three pairs of this style. Expensive - but worth every penny. Get them, you won't regret the investment!

I own several pairs of Frye boots and will continue to purchase them, again and again. The fit and styling of this boot is perfect and can be dressed up or down, depending on your look. I find the tread to be slippery the first few wears, so I wear them out on walks around the block with the dog before wearing on interior slippery surfaces.

This is my second pair of Frye Melissa Button boots - I have them in Cognac Washed Antique and Ice Washed Antique - and I love them both! I get compliments on them every time I wear them, and they're great with anything from skinny jeans to dresses. They are easy to pull on, yet not "baggy" at the ankles. I'm 5'5", and they hit me a couple of inches below the knee, and with my average sized calves, the opening at the top is perfectly sized. It's not snug, but not flappy. There is not a ton of arch support, but they are still quite comfortable for all day wear and walking.

LOVE these boots, I bought in the Dark Brown Antique wash color and they are perfect! My only complaint is when they arrived they appeared to have been worn and had a few slight damages on them...so far, one quick call to Zappos customer service and they said I could send back for a new pair. Waiting for my new pair to arrive today and can't wait to finally wear them!

These boots are amazing. Great color, high-quality leather, and comfortable. I wear a 9.5 in everything but my running shoes, and these ran true to that size.

Decided it is not my style of boot. However, they are great boots otherwise. I will buy Frye's again, just need to find the one I like.

I have been eyeing these boots from the time they first came out. I finally treated myself and ordered them. I am NOT disappointed! These boots are so well made and beautiful. I will enjoy them each time I wear them for sure!

I have tried many pairs of boots and none compare to the quality and craftsmanship of Frye boots! These look and feel amazing. I'm sure I will have these for many years to come. Worth every cent!

This is my second pair of Fryes in this style. I've worn the taupe color for years, but decided to invest in a black pair. I also have a pair of the harness style. In all 3 cases I found that I needed to go down a half size from 9 to 8.5, with plenty of room to wear heavier socks. As with all Frye products, these boots are impeccably made, and the leather is soft and supple. Very happy with this purchase, and with Zappos, which took back 4 other pair before I settled on these.

These boots were gorgeous!! They fit me true to size and the calf had PLENTY of room and I need the extra room because of large calf muscles. I ONLY returned them, because I was looking for something a bit more dressy! I was really bummed not to keep them! Frye is such a beautiful brand!!

Love love love these boots. Ordered the broken in cognac color because I thought it would look more casual than my regular "polished" cognac, but once I compared the two they are just way too similar. Sadly returning, may order a lighter color.

Love these boots! I wanted something casual but not clunky. They have a nice toe shape and no lug sole, which gives them a more refined look that I was after. It's hard to find boots with a narrow shaft for what I think are average legs/calves. I guess they are slender, because I wish these were even a bit more narrow! But with skinny jeans and leggings they look great, a bit of space but not too much. The color I chose is Fatigue Oiled Suede. It's a great shade with rich brown undertones, so they're not too green/olive drab. Very unique. The suede is gorgeous quality as you would expect from Frye. Soft but the shaft is well-lined so they don't slouch. I thought they might be hard to get on/off with no zipper, but that's not the case. Great boots!

These boots are pretty stylish. I typically wear an 8.5 and I have no problem with sizing. These fit pretty snug through the foot, they are a little lose through the ankle and a definitely tight in the calf. There would be no way I could wear a pair of jeans with these. So sad, these will be going back.

These are exactly what I was hoping for: they fit generously in the calf and are perfect for a wide variety of occasions.

These are VERY narrow. If you have muscular calves, DO NOT bother even trying.

Awesome boot! I've been waiting awhile to take the plunge and buy this. SOOOO happy I did. Cute and casual but also just dressy enough to get by in the office. Great quality and it smells awesome! They are stiff to put on at first but they do open up after a few wearings. I live in Texas so I will wear them with thinner socks so I'm not worried, but if you intend on wearing them with thicker socks, I'd order a half size up. Also, I have chicken legs, so the fit over the calves was no problem for me. The soles are SLICK until you get them walked in a little bit so maybe the night before you wear them the first time, walk around in the driveway or parking lot a bit to get them broken in so you don't face plant! LOL!

Love these boots! I have been looking for something that could go casual or a little nicer for work. I wear a 7.5 as a rule in regular shoes, and a 7 in boots usually but I ordered the 7.5 and they were perfect. I have narrow feet and these fit GREAT! I am 5'3'' and most boots are too tall. These hit just below the knee all the way around even though they dip in the front and back, so I can sit comfortably and I'm a short legged person. The tan color is great with any color clothing - not grey or dirty looking and not too light. It's a warm tan - just like the picture. These boots are sturdy and comfortable from the get go! I am the Queen of buy them and send them back, or wear them once and never again! They are also perfect if you have a slim calf - just a little narrower than most so they don't gap. They are casual but I'll wear them with a nice dress too. Love them!

These boots are stylish and comfortable. Due to plantar fasciitis I use superfeet inserts which help with the support. There is plenty of room for the. These are my go to boots - dress them up or down.

This is my second pair of Frye boots (the other was a gift). I wear a 7.5-8, and ordered an 8. At first it felt a little snug, but I have already worn the shoes about 5 times and they are stretching out a little as they are being worn in. They look wonderful on!! Ordered in the Dark Brown Washed Antique - they came looking a little worn (similar to the look of pre-torn jeans), but I love the look and it is what I was looking for in a boot!

These boots are truly beautiful and well-crafted; true to size and comfortable from the first day. Great investment piece for any wardrobe as they are built to last and possess classic style.

Amazing boots. I own 4 pairs and I love them all. I have skinny legs and there was a little gap but nothing that socks won't fix. Zappos is a great company plan to do a lot more shopping with them.
