I wanted to love these boots: they look great, they are light for travel, the length and width were good..... but as someone else mentioned, they have a VERY high internal arch. I knew within 2 minutes of trying them on that they wouldn't work for me. My feet were screaming, and my knees were hurting in 5 minutes. Alas, they are being returned. I will stick with my awesome Clark booties..... yes, they weigh more, but they are so comfortable and provide the type of support I need. I have walked miles in many cities in them, so I know the Clarks work for me. This Arcopedico style may work for others, but they don't work for me.

The length seemed right, but the shoe was a little wide. I have never had non-leather shoes before and I was concerned that they might not "breathe". I didn't like the she well enough to take a chance.

Boots are beautiful, but far too narrow for the mid-section of my foot. I have never ordered a wide size, but these are definitely for narrow feet.

I loved these boots and they felt great except that I have a very narrow heel and the heel was too wide for my foot. Otherwise really soft leather and very comfortable.

FABULOUS arch support & comfort, as expected from this brand, but the material looks kind of mottled & cheap.

When I first got this boot I was so excited about the softness of the material. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, mid foot arthritis, bunions, and hammertoes so needed something that would be comfortable and fit. I agree that the front part of the boot is totally comfortable. I wore these for an hour in my house when I got up in the morning. The next day my thighs hurt. I was unsure if the boot caused that because I have never had thigh pain before- kind of like I had done a new exercise. I didn't wear them again for a week since I wasn't feeling well and tried them again last night. I realized that the problem, for me, was that my heel is slipping out of the back part of the boot and I must be compesating somehow by trying to keep my foot in it. I will be returning these because I can't wear anything that may aggravate my symptoms.

These shoes are indeed very comfortable. Because of the extremely soft top, there is no pressure whatsoever on your toes or at your ankle. And the sole is cushion-y and comfortable for both walking and standing for hours on a hard floor - for some time.
My main problem with these shoes, and the reason for the 3-star review, is that the cushioning of the sole wears out after half a year of daily use. This is true of all Arcopedico shoes, btw - I have owned 3 pairs, and the reason I have bought so many is because the cushioning of the sole keeps wearing out. I think most other brands of shoes in this price range do last longer than that. Being a poor medical resident, I can't afford to replace my shoes every half a year, so I don't think I will buy any more Arcopedico shoes.
But, if you don't wear them every single day, they will probably last longer for you.

Like the boot, albeit pricey, and I appreciate non-leather casual light boot option w/ comfort goal but have to disagree that this (38) 7.5 runs true to size. Not my experience, tight all round and arch placement feels a bit off as a result. if a tad more room for give and thickness of cotton socks I'd be tempted to keep it for warmer weather.
Now I have to decide whether to return and risk next size up 8-8.5. Sounds big.

These shoes are very light weight and flexible. However, the back part of the shoe sole seems to have a very hard structuring to it, whereas the front of the shoe does not, very odd feeling. The top of the shoe however is very soft and flexible, doesn't work well for me as it sags to the sides and makes my ankle look oddly wide. Returning for a shoe that has more balanced sole and slightly more upper structure to keep its shape.

The arch support is painfully high for me--I have to return these. Also, I usually wear a size 10, and ordered this boot in 41. I had tried on a 42 in a store, and it was MUCH too long, so I hoped 41 would work. (The store didn't have size 41.) Definitely too short. It seems like an awfully large difference between the 41 and 42.

I have high arches. Super high arches. So when I stumbled across a shoe brand supposedly designed around people like me, I was pretty excited. I'd been looking for a pair of short booties for the cold months and these were just what I had in mind. Truth be told what I really wanted was something reminiscent of Star Wars and these were just what I had in mind! Anyway I loved the look right away but am far less than impressed with the so-called arch support. The shoe's arch is set in a place that doesn't actually align with my foot and it's actually quite uncomfortable after a couple of hours. I'm annoyed with myself for not thinking that this would be a possible scenario. I mean, duh! All feet are different. So this shoe may in fact have amazing arch support for those with high arches, but only if your feet are totally different from mine. It's a gamble, is what I'm saying. Don't assume these will work for you right out of the box. I had to get custom inserts. I kept the boots because I like how they look but the main selling point of the shoe was worthless to me.

The material on this boot felt really thin. I returned these boots after trying them on, knowing they wouldn't be warm enough.

The first thing I thought upon seeing these in person was how cheap and frumpy they look. I know they're synthetic and vegan, which is great, but the sheen and texture of them is unsightly. I wear a size 10, so ordered the 9.5-10 size, and they were definitely too small with any kind of socks on. The structure of the "boot" is very flimsy and too flexible. Not impressed.

Thin material, no warmth. Too small for thick socks. Arch support a little off position. Style while wearing looks very "Robinhood-ish". I bought them for myself, but I'll let a low-volume-footed relative try them before sending back.

I have flat narrow feet and absolutely love my other pair of Arcopedico boots (L8). They are so comfortable and supportive that I don't need my orthotics. I ordered the L19s because I wanted something that would do well in the rain (L8s allow wind and water to penetrate). I ordered the same size in the L19s as my L8s, but the L19s came in feeling shorter. I would exchange them, but they are a bit chubby looking, not as sleek as I would like.

I so wanted to love these booties, and if it weren't for the arch support, I would. They accommodate my bunions and corns (poor feet!). Unfortunately, the arch support is VERY assertive. I wore them for hours trying not to notice the high arches, but I never got used to them.

Very soft light boot. But ran a little too small and narrow. Pretty good arch support though which I need. Just did not run true to size for me have to return. But it is a very nice boot.

There are only 7 critical reviews out of 150. I made my purchase with the ratings in mind. My first impression and now lasting one (owned this shoe one month now) is that I spent this much for a very cheap looking elf shoe. Rubber sole, odd rubbery worn leather look. I purchased the shoe in black. It appears scaly, dry and "pleathery". This is not Arcopedico quality in style. More like Payless. They are very comfortable and practical, so I decided to keep them. I was hoping to grow fond of them because I do like the Euro style. That was a mistake I now regret. I have never received a single compliment from Virginia to NY and Europe while wearing this dorky little guys. It is because although they are terrifically quirky and comfy, they scream "tacky and cheap". Let's face it, the material is so odd looking it ruins the entire shoe. Additionally, they are water resistant NOT waterproof. I am rarely critical about shoes because I purchase them with much consideration. Having reviewed the online images again, I do note that the photos show a smoother consistently grained leather look, which is vastly different from the actual shoe I received. I've worn the shoe nearly every other day to pick the kids up from school and walk and they have not worn well either. The heel is great but the material across the top middle has cracked and worn a bit. I should have returned them when I didn't like them at first impression because that feeling was accurate and reflective of exactly how I still feel. This shoe is cute, comfy but very cheap looking.

These shoes are nice but though it's a boot, it's a very thin boot. These shoes are just a bit thicker than a sock. Very flexible and pliable. The color is nice. It has a slight sheen and glitter aesthetic. They are super comfy when worn with trouser socks, but if you wear them with regular socks they're a bit too tight. Lastly, I've worn them for two weeks and already the finish on them is starting to fade at the ball of the foot. I think they are overpriced for the quality.

I was so bummed that the size 38 was too tight (my big toe was right up against the front of the shoe) and the size 39 was too big. The boots are so cute and would go great with dresses, leggings, pants, etc. I wanted them to fit but I've learned my lesson several times. If these do fit you, I consider you lucky. They are incredibly light, have good arch support (if your foot doesn't slide) and super stylish. I loved the material and they had just the right amount of shine. Thanks Zappos for making the shipping to and returns so easy!

My third pair of these fab booties because I find they only last through one year. I keep buying a new pair every year cause they're amazing - super comfortable + super cute. They're cozy in cold weather, go with pants, leggings or skirts. Quiet and light - perfect little boots!

Being a vegetarian who doesn't purchase or wear leather, finding winter footwear can be a really exhausting experience. Especially if you are looking for something specific. I've been searching for a lightweight, non-chunky winter boot for years and have failed every year, forcing me to wear the same Earth boots that I love but are heavy and are not my first choice for everyday wear. I'd never heard of Arcopedico before I searched on Zappos for vegan boots and they seemed to fit my needs. Good foot support, comfortable, lightweight and vegan. Plus they have a nice simple design that's not too narrow looking and not too wide looking which is what I'm always looking for. So I tried them. They got to me super fast and free which is always a plus. The material was nice and cushiony, not like any other vegan material I'd ever experienced, and they didn't look or feel cheap, they look good on, (though I didn't love the black/brown "snakeskin" design, you couldn't see it unless you were up close) and felt amazingly comfortable (I got a size 9 even though I'm an 8-8 1/2, definitely get a size or a half size up) until I stood up. The arch support was fine but I couldn't get used to the heal being higher than the ball of my foot and felt it effect my posture almost immediately. Keep in mind that I can count on one hand the amount of times I've worn high heels in my 37 years and I love the negative heel of my earth shoes. I found that the heel was not only too high but too narrow as well, which did not feel supportive. I walked around in them for only a few minutes and could tell it would be pretty easy for my ankle to give out under me especially on icy winter ground. All in all I give them an A for effort. If the heel was wider and more level with the toe, these would probably be my new favorite boots. Sadly I have to send them back and continue my search.

These fit perfectly and were very comfortable, BUT the quality was not there for the price. The center seam was stitched unevenly, the fabric was thin and the ankle had no firmness to support it at all. These were overpriced, considering they were fabric made to look like leather and the sole was rubber.
