This shoe allows me to walk to and from the train and look professional at work at the same time. A good compromise. I do wish they had half-sizes, as it's a hair long and wide for my low-volume foot.

I just received the Kirie in Metal Leather/Vintage Gray/Pewter Leather in my usual Naot size, 41 (I wear a 9.5 narrow to medium shoe and always wear a 41 in Naots). The length is perfect, they are a tiny bit wide, but okay, with the Velcro strap closure to tighten as needed. BUT, the color combination isn't all that close to the photo or to the names of the colors. This shoe is much more old bronze/old gold and brownish than it is to any of the grays I've ever bought or ever seen in Naot shoes. So not sure I'm going to keep them. I wanted gray. I really like the shimmer grays, but I hate patent leather, so I don't want straps made of that on the gray versions available. All that aside, it feels extremely comfortable, has wonderful arch support (which is why I have 10+ pairs of Naots shoes, sandals and boots)and I may keep them anyhow, just not liking the color too much. Sigh. I'll look at them again tomorrow before I decide.

They are comfortable and more supportive than regular flats. Unfortunately , they are too big for me. I normally wear size 4 and ordered size 35. Can't go smaller than that :-(. Returned.

Naot Footwear Kirei - I tried both blk madras & blk suede. Did not care for the shininess of the patent leather or the zigzag stitching. The look of the stitching cheapens the style IMHO. Also, the recommendation to size down was half right. I think 36.5 would work better for my 6.5 US sized foot. Arch support and feel of the shoe was fine for my foot which is narrow in the heel, wide in the forefoot & high-arched. I did not need my orthodic & would have had to added a pretty cushy insert over it to make it so the shoe wasn't so loose. I prefer the angled mary jane strap and went with the Naot Korari in a size 37 instead. For someone whose arch isn't as high, the straight-across strap would probably be fine, but it hit my foot in the wrong spot. Thanks Zappos for free return shipping!

The size 41 is a true US size 10. I wear a 10½ and can sometimes fit a 10, but I will definitely need a 42 in these. Overall these are nice shoes, but I do not like the strap with the Velcro all the way down the length of it. It is not as easy to undo and get on and off as it seems like it should be. This one will be going back. I will give another style of Naot a try, though, because the shoes seemed comfortable except for that strap.

I love Naot shoes and was excited to see a WW offered. However, the low style of the toe box hit my bunion in the wrong place and the toe box was short. So disappointed they are going back. Please consider making other Naot Matai style in the wide or WW. I had a pair for years and love them, but the M width no longer is wide enough.

I bought a pair of these shoes almost exactly two years ago, have put them through MANY miles of walking on pavement around cities (often 10-20 miles per day while on vacation), and still love them. I'm very happy with how they've held up. The leather alongside my pinky toe on each foot has become a bit stretched out with lots of wear, and I've scuffed the toes a bit (the leather freshens up nicely with a little polish), but otherwise these shoes look almost like new -- and they remain comfortable. The soles have been remarkably durable, and all elements of the shoe remain securely intact; the materials and construction are solid. My feet are on the wider side and flatter side, and these shoes have worked well for me. The footbed molded well to my foot with wear. Ideally it would have been nice if they'd had a little more padding underfoot. Then again, two years in, I'm just now thinking of actually adding a thin insert for additional cushioning to offset the compression over time.

Naot shoes are probably the closest thing I will find to comfortable flat shoes. I wear a size 10 in an athletic shoe and a 9.5 in a sandal, so I tried a size 41 in these Naot shoes and they fit about right -- I could use about 1/4" - 3/8"onger as my toe/foot sometimes slides forward and my toes are right at the end. IF there was elastic in the strap I could put the strap a bit tighter and this problem would be somewhat solved. After any long time of wearing, my toes are also irritated because they touch at the top (I need that 1/4"!). Since there is no elastic on the strap area, it's hard to velcro them very tightly for my foot/toe not to slide forward - then they are uncomfortable on top. Sizing up a whole size would be too large for me - I do wish Naots came in 1/2 sizes! ~~~~ What I like about these shoes are that they are 95% comfortable as to width (medium), overall shape to my foot, the soft leather (except on toes) and very pretty to look at. I mainly got these for church and wearing when I don't have toenails polished and want a pretty shoe. With all that said I wore these once in a store for an extended period, and while my feet were not killing me, I still feel like I needed a little more cushion. There really isn't too much cushioning and I wonder why everyone gives these shoes the amount of praise they do, however the insole does shape to the foot nicely and gives some good support. While I don't notice too much overall discomfort, sometimes the next day my feet can hurt -- I have VERY sensitive feet! They are worth keeping because there's not much out there that can compare.

I like the shoe and it works with my custom orthotic insole. My only complaint is that the cut is a little bit unfriendly for an orthotic friendly shoe. I was advised to wear socks to protect the orthotic insole and even the smartwool secret sleuths I have found aren't completely hidden. I have to readjust the socks to keep them from peeking out. If they were a little bit higher on the foot -- only 2 mm -- I think it would work perfectly.

Very comfy, cute walking/knock-around shoes. I ordered a size smaller as recommended. When I'm not wearing socks the shoes fit perfectly, but with socks (I brought the shoes to Ireland where it was a little colder in summer than home in DC) my toes were touching the tips of the shoes and I wasn't quite as comfortable.

This is a very comfortable and good-looking shoe. In my opinion, Naot shoes all run a little narrow, which is great for me. However, the toe area is wide enough to give my toes plenty of room, yet not so much room as to look clunky. I usually wear a 6.5 in most shoes (without socks) or a 7 if buying shoes to wear with socks. I purchased a 37 so that I can wear these without socks, and they are perfect. They are well made, as are all of the Naot shoes I've purchased. They are very pricey, which is my only complaint (hence, only 4 stars). Otherwise, it'd be 5 stars all the way.

These look like they would be very comfortable but the Naot last is just too narrow for my foot. For comparison purposes, if Earth and Clarks work for you these will probably be too narrow.

These shoes are very comfortable, but I tried them on and sent a picture to my friend, who then mocked me for wearing them. They're pretty dorky looking; I had to return them.

Great walking shoe! I've worn this shoe for commuting purposes for years - several flights of stairs and several blocks of walking every day. The shoe is very comfortable and supportive - once you get the right size. The shoe does NOT run large, as Naot suggests. If anything, it runs small. I wear a size 41 in Naots, compared to a 40 in Ecco shoes. My only complaint about the Kirei is that the shoe squeaks when I walk. For that reason, I only wear them for commuting. They are too noisy walking around the office.

Contrary to the advice about this shoe running a size large, I ordered my regular size (in a wide) and found that it was actually a bit smaller than I hoped for (and not quite wide enough). Almost there, and I could tell it would be a very comfortable shoe if it fit properly. I could have tried another size up, but think that would have been too big. Also, the mary jane cut hit right along the top of my toe, and although not uncomfortable while trying on, it might have been an issue after a couple of hours. So back they went. Just saying, if your foot is wide, this might not work for you (p.s. the wide version only comes in black). Whoops: I just goofed up the star ratings. I would give this one a 3 on comfort.

I love the initial fit on these shoes. They were sporty and yet stylish and youthful looking. However, after walking in them in my home for about a half hour, they began to hurt my bunions...sad that I have to return them!

Overall a comfortable shoo with good arch support but the leather trim on toe box cut into the top of my foot! My foot is narrow, but I have high arches, so I guess that is why(?).

Note to fellow shoppers: the sizing on these hasn't changed. I have a pair of these I bought last year that I love in my usual size. When I went to re-order, I ordered a size down per the (new) manufacturer's instructions. I thought that perhaps they changed their sizing. Apparently not and I should have ordered the size that works so well in the first pair. A bit of a duh on my part. Back the shoes go. Love Zappos return policy of course.

This is a very cute shoe, but I did NOT find it to run large, as the description stated. I am only in my 30s but have problem feet. After reading such great reviews, I thought I had found the perfect shoe. I really would like to wear something other than running shoes. Unfortunately, I am a size 12. As a handful of other reviewers have mentioned, the size 43 fits more like a size 11. (I didn't read that far into the reviews when I ordered.) Just a little FYI - even if these came in a size that fit me, I would still need to use my orthotics, as they were not overly supportive - at least for me.

I love Naot's because they are great walking shoes but this seems to run a bit short. Also, without socks, I think the outer edge may rub against my ankle. I have flat feet - and I think the problem would not exist if you have normal arches which would elevate the foot and prevent these two spots from rubbing together.

I love Naot, and I have many, but this one was slightly too small and my foot cramped the moment I put it on. I'm 50'ish with feet issues from years of wearing heels. Styling was cute and just a little sporty. I love it - just can't wear it. I'm going to try a shoe from Jambu.

NOT shiny as the description suggests and scratches easily. Only few weeks old, yet my 3 year older Kirei suede looks better. However, good fit/style (if you like Mary Janes).

First thing, if you have bunions, this may not be the shoe for you. It is cut too high; right at the point of the bunions. This is the reason I have to return it unfortunately. It is not what I expected, although I have never worn this style. Since I am an 11N and wear a custom orthotic, getting the right fit, comfort, and style is a lot to ask from one shoe. I was hoping Naot would be the answer since I have worn 2 of their sandals beautifully through the cobblestones of Italy. Most of their shoes are lightweight so travel very well and give great support and stability which was why I wanted the more enclosed shoe Kirei for Scotland. I have gotten over the need for a fashion statement in shoes and opt for comfort hands down. So even if you have problem feet, don't give up on Naot. Just research to find the best shoe in terms of how it is cut, where the straps lie, how adjustable they are, etc.

This is a great travel shoe. Okay, it is not the most glamorous shoe you will ever wear. I bought this for a trip that involved both rural and urban elements in South America, and this shoe is for those times in the cities, where my hiking shoes would not be appropriate. Because our trip involves internal flights, with more stringent checked bag weight limits, I am limiting myself to just 2 pairs of shoes, plus rubber flip flops for the pool. Another reviewer of Mary Janes suggested using a Smartwool pedi over the insole to add comfort and help keep the shoe fresher when wearing without socks, and whoever it was, Thank You! As most of us have discovered, those pedis don't stay in place on your foot, but this is the next best way to keep your feet and shoes fresh. This shoes gives lots of support, more than the Timaru whose look I preferred (it felt more like a slipper, so not enough support) and I plan to wear with all those black pants we travel with.
