These shoes are so comfortable. They fit best for me with slack socks or bare feet; snug with ankle socks. I am very satisfied.

Was hoping these were more of a dark cognac/caramel hue to work with accessories, but it is more of a brown. That said, there is a bit of a cognac contrast. Although I almost always wear an 8.5 in other shoes (except for Naot, in which I am a consistent 40), the back seam hit the bottom of my heel (needed to be a centimeter or so longer). Had high hopes based on the ratings. If it came in more colors, I'd reorder in a larger size. BTW, the grommet on the side is silver.

Love these shoes. I bought a very similar style 3-4 yrs ago and they have been a favorite. Needless to say, I was excited to see these shoes offered by the same manufacturer. I am similarly happy with these and their comfort . With foot problems these shoes are a true blessing .

I have worn these all day to see how they felt after having them on for several hours and they felt great! In fact they are so good I plan on buying a second pair soon... I purchased them to take on a trip overseas for 12 days and I think they are perfect to be my main pair of shoes on our trip! I also got them very quickly which I appreciated too. Thanks Zappos!

I ordered a half size up to be able to wear thin socks with these mules (after originally ordering and returning my usual size). They fit perfectly! I wore them all day yesterday and have them on now. Comfortable and stylish, great way to dress up jeans a little. Since mules usually aren't my thing, I like to have the strap over my heel most of the time. Nice colder weather shoes that have a boot-like quality. Have owned Ariats before, they are tops!

This is a very nice shoe. I am returning it just because I wanted something a bit less structured, and kick-around casual. Fit was good (I'm typically an 11, sometimes a 10.5) - the 11 was just right. Great with jeans, made beautifully, and a good arch support (I have terrible feet). Just wanted something flatter, and softer.

Best investment ever. Love the style, the comfort, the quality. Hands down a win win win.

Out of the box and on my feet! Even my bad foot with the bunion slipped into these shoes, size is as expected for my size 11's, and they don't look like canoes! I love the look, but they feel a little stiff, so I will put them on for the evening and walk around here with them. I flipped back the decorative strap, and it actually slipped into place on my heel; it has a bit of elastic to help the strap adjust to my needs. If I can wear these slightly stiff-feeling shoes around the house a few evenings, I will have a great shoe for my wardrobe. If not, I will go back online to Zappos, and find another.

too stiff and runs large

Love my Ariat shoes! The western toe shape is perfect, not too narrow and no clubby or cloggy look. I wasn't sure I loved the more pebbly look of the deertan leather on the black shoe so ordered the waxed chocolate instead with smooth leather, expecting that my husband could dye them black, Well they arrived and he said that's not a good idea as the wax would have to be successfully removed before dying and that could ruin the shoe. Well after finding out just how styling and versatile this deep chocolate color was with my wardrobe and how much I adore the fit, comfort and color, I decided to order the second black pair in black deertan anyway. Yea Ariat! This shoe is a hit!

The quality of these shoes is incredible. However I need shoes that offer more cushion for my feet.

I really can't add any more glowing remarks than what has already been written...believe them. This is a wonderful shoe. With arthritis in my knee, I have to be cautious about heel height, but these are no problem at all. The back strap has enough give that I hardly know it's there. With pants, it looks like a beautiful boot. This is my second pair of Ariats and I will not hesitate to buy more. Beautiful, comfortable, and a great every-day shoe.

Zappos is great. I buy most of my shoes from them and on the rare occasion I have to exchange or return, it's a breeze. Been wearing the Ariat Sport Mule for many years and I think it's the only shoe I have that never hurts my feet.

I bought a pair of these nearly 20 years ago. They have been my favorite shoes ever. I am now looking to replace the pair because they have finally started to fray at the heel. Ariats rock! The only oddity from when I first bought these - when I wore them without socks they made a sound that was odd.

This shoe looks like a high quality shoe. It is very "stream-lined" though, meaning fits snug. If you have a high in-step, it might not be the shoe for you. But a good looking shoe.

Exactly as pictured. I ordered my usual size 10, and they fit perfectly. The are super comfortable, high quality, look great, and I love them.

I love this mule! I have tried probably 30 pair of shoes to get to the right one! This is perfect! Enough arch support, feels sturdy yet comfortable, great heel, and it is an Ariat! I love it!

Perfect clog for me. I wear with jeans or work pants, or with my pajamas when I am dropping my kids off at school! Super comfortable from the first moment I put them on. I had tried Dansko clogs and found them too clunky, the soles don't bend. I have a pair of Ugg Bridgens which were comfortable, but the toe box is so round they made my feet look huge. These are the answer -- My first pair of Ariats - I am tempted to buy a pair of cowboy boots just because I love these clogs so much!

Comfortable right out of the box! Walked a couple of miles the first time I wore them. Look good with skirts or pants. The back heel straps are a bit tight, but I didn't plan on using them anyhow. Can't go wrong with these if you're looking for something a step up from plain ol' clogs.

I love these shoes! I normally wear a 9, but exchanged them for an 8.5, which fits perfectly. They are comfortable right out of the box, with good support. They look equally great with jeans or smart casual pants. Could walk all day in NYC with these shoes.

Love this shoe, had to wear a bit to do a bit of break in. Very comfortable. Had to go up half size as this does not come in wide. Ariat knows how to make a girl feel. If the feet ain't happy, nothings happy. Well made shoes. Thanks
