Unfortunately, I am returning these shoes. They seemed a little too large for me except with very thick socks. Also, the pair I received looked a tiny bit worn, plus the Ariat box they arrived in was very beat-up looking. Will keep trying.

Cute mule, nice leather. They do look like boots sticking out from under your denim jeans. I got the timber color, it's a bit darker than it looked on my laptop, but since I really wanted something a little darker I am pleased with the color. I ordered my regular size, 8, it was too tight, heel was right up to the edge. I felt like I had to keep jamming my foot inside the shoe to keep from coming out of it. I returned those and ordered the 8.5. I am happy with these and my heel still comes close to the edge but I feel like my foot is solidly inside the shoe, even while wearing socks. I needed to put in arch supports but I often need to do that. I bought these mostly to use while traveling, flying, just in case I need to slip out of my shoes. I have not done any traveling yet so I cannot speak to how they will feel after hours of wear and lots of time on my feet. Fingers crossed they will be great.

Beautiful shoe. I made the mistake of wearing them the first day for a 3 mile citywide walk and got blisters on my little toes. I expect its my fault fof not wearing socks with them until fully broken in. A little moleskin and proper break in and I'm sure they will be fine.

Size 9 was perfect, nice arch support, shoes were comfortable right out of the box. Quality made shoes; am not tripping in them, heels are just high enough so they don"t slip around on the foot. Love these, Zappos did it again, thank you !

This is second time in a few years I bought this mule. Like the choices of wearing it with heel strap down to keep shoe on or up for slip on slip off option. First pair had smooth calf finish with stitched seam across toe that added more style. Second pair has pebbled surface and no added styling. For the price I prefer the older design and will continue to wear the older pair. With a little shoe polish older pair looks new. Both designs for the same--heavenly.

The first day, they rubbed my bunion a little bit. I am hoping the shoe will break in a little more. They are super cute!

I loved this shoe; very good looking and beautiful leather. However, because of fairly recent heel surgery, there did not seem to be enough padding in the heel, plus the shoe just didn't fit my old feet correctly. I think for most people, this would be an excellent choice. I would have tried a smaller size if the heel had had a little more padding, but turned out to not be for me. The search continues (sigh)!

I purchased a pair of these at a store some time ago and they were amazing to slip into right out of the box. Over time, they stretched out so I have to wear slightly thicker socks with them. However, I still love them. I bought this pair at the same size, and the leather they used is a bit more stiffer than my previous pair, but they still fit well. I'm hoping that over time, they stretch out like their counterpart. It's a wonderful shoe and I love that I can wear it with or without the strap depending on my look. I can wear these with jeans or a skirt and it looks equally good.

I purchased these for a comfortable kick around winter shoe, and they are that. Not the most chic looking = perhaps the shiny leather would look more stylish. Recommend these for casual, comfortable wear.

Needed something to replace the clogs I always keep by the door and slip on whenever I'm running out for an errand or otherwise walking a few blocks. The fit seems ok but they do flop a bit more than I'd like and the heel appears lower in real life than in the photos. Not my favorite clog ever but they're serviceable.

This was my first pair of Ariats. I'm a true size 8M. Ordered the timber color in size 8, and they are fine with socks which is how I plan to wear them (as a winter clog here in S. Carolina). If I'd wanted to wear them without socks I probably would need a 7.5. My foot is wider through the toe and ball of foot area, but narrow in the heel. The back strap on this mule is a bit loose around my ankle, but all back straps fit me like that, which is why I usually wear an open-back clog style shoe. This is a well made shoe for the price; very comfortable. This mule is a heavier weight than my other clogs from Clarks, Finn Comfort, Naot, Rieker, Born. Seems to be because the sole is made of a heavier material, which is probably a good thing because the shoe should last longer. This mule is especially heavy through the heel area which tends to pull the shoe off my foot when I walk. That's probably why Ariat makes this style with the optional back strap... the shoe does feel much more secure on the foot when using the back strap. Love the look of this mule with jeans -- I can't wear a boot down here in the deep South, so this is a good alternative. Of course, Zappos service has no equal; enough said.

This is a good looking shoe, but the inside leather is not sewn well, and there is a rough edge around the heel in the pair that I got. I really like the look of the shoe, and the size is right, but for the money, I believe the construction should be good, and I am sending them back.

I can sleep in my Ariat boots. But these clogs were returned. Narrow in the toes and too big in the heels. No arch support for my high arches. The leather is good, the strap was too big to lay flat across the top, so there was a gap. Perfect heel height for me.

These are very comfortable and well made, just not as stylish as I had hoped. Wish the heel was slightly higher. The shoe looks very masculine on.

I thought this shoe would work given the great reviews. Nope. My heel was on the hard back edge of the shoe! Very uncomfortable! You have to have a perfect fit in order to make these shoes work. Guess I needed a 1/2 larger size? Returning them and trying something that doesn't have that extra hard lip on the edge. The rest of my foot fit like a glove. Too bad.
