Haeving just worn through another several pairs of my then un recraftable dress work shoes, I took the advice of a local shoe repairman here in Madison (who showed me his AE shoes that he was wearing- and purchased nearly 45 years ago ) and bought a pair of these along with another pair. Allen Edmonds shoes are the best that I have ever owned, feeling and fitting great from the start and the Fifth Avenue is no exception. Eight months later, they still look and feel great, but the customer service and the retail excellence are also why I have purchased three more pairs since. The best part is that they are crafted right here in The United States of America so it's win-win! Thanks Allen Edmonds!

I've had the Fifth Avenue for about six months and I love wearing them. I can walk in them all day and they are so comfortable. The color I have is black and it goes with just about any occasion I have. I like them so much I'm going to buy another black pair with the golf spike sole for my next pair of golf shoes.

I have two pairs of Fifth Avenues, one black and one chili. I've had the black for two years and the chili I've had for one year. They look great and I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever about buying them. I would, in fact, happily buy more, but for the sake of some variety I think the time has come to venture into other models. If you're considering these I can't recommend them enough -- they're without a doubt my favorites in the dress shoe category.

This is my third pair of Allen Edmonds shoes and I love each of them. The fit is perfect and they're comfortable right out of the box. After a few wearings, they mold to my feet and fit like a glove. Every pair I own looks great and feels even better. I most recently purchased a pair of brown Park Avenues and an Allen Edmonds dress belt to match. They're both fantastic. I've worn black dress shoes for years so it's great to be able to change things up a bit. I wind up wearing the brown pair two or three times a week. If you have an older pair that's getting a little worn, don't forget that you can get them reconditioned. I've had two pair reconditioned in the past. When you get them back, the shoes still fit like they're worn in, but they look like new. If you're wearing cheap dress shoes, do yourself a favor and buy at least one pair of Allen Edmonds. The Park Avenues would be a great first pair of Allen Edmonds.

I picked up these beautiful Fifth Avenues about six weeks ago. Yesterday, I was able to submit them to an unplanned torture test, and I have to admit they performed admirable. I was riding home on my scooter in the rain when a car signaled a turn in front of me. Nothing too dramatic and I braked, but as we both moved forward slowing down there was a big pile of wet leaves in the road. My scooter slipped out from under me and I slid about 10-15 feet down the road. The shoes sustained considerable damage, but they stayed on and protected my feet. Don't try this at home!

The color seemed different so I took it to the store and it was quickly and easily exchanged. The staff was professional. . This is my 1oth pair of AE shoes and they are wonderful to wear and look at.

I'm new to the whole Edmonds experience, having worn lower end penny loafers mostly for 20+ years; I'm really enjoying the shoes a lot.

I wanted a lace up to complement the Grayson slip-on shoes that I already have owned for years. What a great shoe to add a different dimension to my business wardrobe.

I really like these shoes. I'm normally a "black shoe" kind of guy...don't really care for brown. But when I saw the "bob's chili" shoe, I was sold! Once I had the shoe, I needed some nice brown pants to go with the shoes! Next, I need to get some good shirts to go along with the pants. I know, kind of doing things in reverse, but it's been fun expanding my wardrobe.

My favorite AE shoe to date. Excellent style, superb fit, and as comfortable as any shoe I have ever worn. Love these shoes and highly recommend them.

I just recently started buying AE shoes. My Fifth Avenues (bourbon) is my fourth pair of AE shoes in nine months. The look and feel of the shoes far surpassed my expectations. I can't wait to wear them to work and church. Hats off to AE!

Every man needs a black cap toe. I chose the Fifth Av over the Park Av due to the perforation. It adds a bit of style without compromising the formal appearance of the shoe. These were comfortable right out of the box. I don't wear them often but when I do I'm in them and on my feet all day. The 5 last is long and narrow and there is a bit of extra length in the toe, but it is not an issue. I can see where some may be tempted to order a half size smaller, but I would not. I wear a 13D in almost all shoes and also order a 13D in these. I tend to trust the designer on sizing, as they know how they designed the shoe to fit and should size it according. The width is perfect and as stated above it is a very comfortable shoe. I have quite a shoe collection, most of which are Allen Edmonds. I love the 5 last. Fifth AV-Black, Fairfax-Chili, Strand-Walnut, Cronmok-Brown. I love them all. The Cronmok gets the most wear, due to its casual nature, followed closely by the Strand. I reserve the Fifth Av for wear with a dark suit. They are my N.F.A. shoes, to be worn when I need to be taken seriously. The Fairfax I use when I travel, as they can be worn and look good with everything from a dark pair of jeans to business casual to a dark charcoal suit. This versatility allows me to get away with only carrying one pair of shoes. Keep up the good work Allen Edmonds.

I have been very pleased with my Fifth Avenue shoes. I have these in brown and in walnut and find both pair very pleasing to wear. They took almost no time to break in, are very comfortable, I can wear them all day without any discomfort, and they look very attractive. They are quite versatile and can be worn in numerous settings. This is an excellent, well made, shoe.

I purchased the Fifth Avenue at the Charlotte, NC. store a few months ago, and have been very pleased with the quality of these shoes. For me, there was no break in needed, as they seemed to fit well from day one. I take a 9D in size. I have worn them on some very long days for business with no discomfort whatsoever. I was not happy with the dull finish these originally came with, but one trip to the Charlotte Airport fixed that up, and they shined up like mirrors. If you have had your shoes shined at the Charlotte Airport, you know what I mean. This is a more conservative style, so you may want to buy a pair of wingtips for your more expressive days. Very pleased with the purchase and I will begin to create my own collection.

Brought these in to my cobbler to get a heel plate put on (flat feet causes them to wear to one side). While Ive only worn these twice my opinion is probably of limited value, however I can make the following comments: My cobbler was like a car guy seeing a Ferrari, he was nearly gushing about what a fine shoe these are. He continued after I picked them up with the praise. Although he did say that the soles on all the Allen Edmonds, with the exception of the cordovans, are no longer the really high quality which they used to be? While only worn twice, they feel great and are comfortable right out of the box. They look amazing. Wore them to a presentation today and for the first time in my life felt really good about my foot wear. Hope to get many many years out of these. Hopefully AE being taken over by a new group does not change the quality/aesthetic for the worse.

I have had a pair of these shoes for over 7 years now. I have had the shoe redone twice and finally I had a rip on the leather that was an accident. There is nothing bad to say about the shoe in any way or fashion. Can style it up or casual down with it as well. Also a great shoe to dance in. I would recommend for anyone to be sized first and then make your selection for the shoe. Oh did I say I had it in black.

I have been wearing these shoes for about a year now and I have to say that they are all that they are made out to be. They are very comfortable and have broken in very nicely. I use Saphir products on them to keep them well moisturized and polished and they have held up beautifully. I could not recommend them more.
