I bought two pairs of these. One had a slight lump in the sole after several months of wear. They replaced it with no questions asked. There are few companies that stand behind their products so solidly in my opinion. Theirs shoes are comfortable, look great, feel great, and are all-around just better than any shoe I've worn before. The craftsman is excellent, and this will be all I buy for a long time when I'm looking for a new style.

Admittedly, I had been put off by the price tag of Allen Edmonds, so this was actually my first pair of shoes. Unable to justify the price, I continued to purchase shoes from the competition. These were actually a gift from my wife. Needless to say, I'm done with the competition. Within a month of wearing these, I bought a pair of City's to wear with black. ...and I'm always proud to buy American when a get a chance!

I've been wearing the Fifth Avenue Cap-Toe Oxfords every other day to work for a few weeks now. They took a couple of days to break in and to get truly comfortable. A classic and clean looking dress shoe with great craftsmanship.

I ordered this shoe online and the fit was better than most shoes I have had but I wanted to make sure it was perfect. I took the shoes to the store and the sales staff had me try on a lot of shoes to get a perfect fit. I ended up exchanging them and I have never been more comfortable in dress shoes than I am now. Thanks for excellent customer service and a great pair of shoes.

When I was younger I never paid much attention to the quality of shoes I purchased. My selection FS and then uped it later on to JM. But I always remembered growing up seeing my uncle Joe (I think we all have had an uncle in our life) wearing wing tips. They were AE's. And I remembered touching them and thinking what a pair of Solid made shoes. Since my uncles passing some 33 years ago I often think about him and those wing tips he wore. It wasn't till about 10 years after his passing that I too decided to purc my first pair of AE's and over the yrs managed to accumulate about 10 pairs and still counting with my latest purchase of 3 pairs in April of this year. ALL of these shoes (in my opinion) are made by the best cobblers there is. Unsurpassed quality. Equal to none and in a class all by themselves. I haven't had a better pair of shoes in my life. To me its like driving down the street in a Ferrari.

Fantastic shoes for dressier and more formal functions. These shoes are built to last, I have had them for over a year and love this pair in the dark chili leather. I polish and brush the shoes as needed to make sure they're in presentable condition. I believe the shoes will be in good shape for at least 3 years of consistent wear before I will need to recraft them. The initial sticker shock is what prevents a lot of people from looking into Allen Edmonds, but everything they make is classic and worth the investment, after the shoes are broken in, they are incredibly comfortable and you can wear them (and would want to wear them) for years before needing to repair.

Very comfortable and a classic style that I can wear for the foreseeable future.

These Oxford quarter-brogues in merlot can be worn with almost any suit all year round. My first pair of dress shoes from Allen Edmonds, size 12 D, comfortably snug, as they should be. And the craftsmanship, price, and customer service make them a treasure.

So, AE shoes. Well, I write this review and could write several. This is my ninth pair of AEs. Multiple reasons. Primarily, quality and sizing. I have a 15B, that is a bear to find anywhere. The reviewed shoes have great coloring, stitch work, and were a great fit, with a little room for expansion in the laces as the leather softens and relaxes over time. I alternate all my shoes daily, wearing AE shoes 5 days a week minimum. I would say that is a solid testimonial. Thank you, Kevin

I have two other pairs of AE shoes that have turned out to be very nice and very comfortable. This was my first time trying the 5th Ave. I was surprised to find that they were comfortable right out of the box and had a nice broken in feel after only a couple hours of wearing them. I will definitely be ordering a pair of these in other colors.

Bought these alost 4 years ago and with a little love look as good as ever. Still my go to shoe when I have to impress. Run a little narrow which fits my foot perfect!

After finishing graduate school, I began the quest to look like a young professional. Those shoes are an essential part of that quest. They look amazing and I received numerous compliments. Highly recommended them to anyone striving to look professional.

Gentleman, My first pair of merlot colored shoes and I'm sure glad I decided to try them. The deep rich color is just stunning and elegant. Will go with a variety of trouser colors. Quality of the leather, stitching and overall craftsmanship is excellent. I'm very picky about clothes and shoes; let me assure you gents, I looked these over thoroughly and could not be more satisfied. Purchased these in size 10 1/2 E, fit is spot on, cone height is just right so is the width at the ball. I have a medium to wide size foot. 10 1/2 E to 11 D in most lasts. They're a little stiff at first, but that was expected. I polished them with the matching polish which really enhanced the color. My wife commented " What beautiful shoes". Kelley in customer service is just an absolute consummate professional. Pleased as always, thanks so much.

This is the first time I've ordered from AE, having used competition previously, and day one when I wore yours, you can say good-bye to your JM competition for me.

This is my second pair of Allen Edmonds shoes, and I am delighted with the apparent quality, style, and craftsmanship of these shoes. Moreover, AE customer service is exceptional. Holly D was very helpful and navigated my purchase with professionalism.

How does one describe effervescence? New leather can be a pain, literally, but Allen Edmonds' array of sizes, along with their signature crafting, brings a mark of distinction, notable not by mere cosmetic conception, but in the prideful spring imbued to the wearer, as one slowly molds the shoe to well-burnished, old leather. It is a more visceral than outwardly subjective reaction. The quality is palpable. Placing this pair of shoes (and most of Allend Edmonds shoes) upon one's feet marks the beginning of an excellent, sartorial adventure.

This was my fourth pair of Allen Edmonds shoes that I have purchased over the last 3 years. In the past, I have purchase a pair of Broadstreet (Brown and White), McAllister (Black), and Fifth Avenue (Brown). I love the Fifth Avenue collection so much that I recently purchased a black pair. Both pair of fifth Avenue's were nicely crafted and required no break in time at all. I have received many compliments whenever I wear my Allen Edmonds shoes and I only wish that the Broadstreets would be re-introduced so I can purchase the black and white.
