This is probably my 15th AE shoe, the product is outstanding. The quality is unsurpassed. The navy strands are really nice. The color is a little darker than I would prefer, appearing to be black. My walnut colored strands are my favorite of any of my shoes. You really can't go wrong with AE shoes and if you ever have a problem the customer service team always seems to do the right thing.

10EEE Strand in walnut. Classy and stylish. Love wearing it as often as I can. Very versatile and comfortable. Slightly snug, but forgiving as it breaks in. Shoe tree helps retain its shape. A little edge dressing and polish and it's always as good as new.

I love these shoes. They are my first pair of AE shoes and I can't say enough about them.

Awesome shoe. Always get compliments when I wear these shoes. The color (walnut) is very popular right now and goes with jeans as well as my suits. I hve always purchased a B width in an AE product but tried C on this one....comfortable out of the box. Love 'em

As a repeat customer (six pair and counting), I was disappointed when I missed out on the limited Midnight Navy Strands earlier in the year and very pleased to see them offered again this fall. The shoes are a beautiful dark blue and very eye-catching in the right light. Size-wise, they're a perfect match for all my other shoes off the same last. I'm hoping to see a Manistee belt one of these days in Midnight Navy. That would be the icing on the proverbial cake.

The walnut strand commands respect, and reels in compliment, after compliment, after compliment. I wear them with wool suits, navy, black, and charcoal. They also go great with seer sucker pants and a polo in the summer.

I own 4 pairs of dress up shoes and ever since I purchased these, I've stopped wearing my other ones. They have this natural shine that you can't see on the photos here. They don't easily crease up. Though I will be honest, if you have skinny feet, I'd recommend purchasing half a size bigger so you can wear double sock. My soles tend to hurt after long days.

The Strand is my favorite oxford yet from AE. Typical AE quality (excellent) with nice styling that is both traditional and modern. Fit is true to size. (I wear EEE, and I can always count on AE shoes to fit.) Hopefully these shoes last as long as my other AE pairs, which still look good after 7+ years.

Love the Strand. It is my favorite AE style and I have it in several colors. My most recent addition was the blue. I found it to be almost black in normal light, but in bright light the blue is more apparent. It is a great choice!

Bought the Strand Cap-Toe Oxford for my son's wedding and they arrived promptly as advertised. They fit very comfortable and were dance-ready. Received numerous compliments for the shoes and they definitely outshined other more expensive brands at the occasion.

I've had my share of issues getting comfy dress shoes with my bunions and toe issues.......AE shoes are always great for me, but This shoe just fit me perfectly as soon as I slipped it on, and I even wore them to a trade show before they were fully broken in with no issues. Just a great shoe, high quality, and I'm almost ready for another pair in a different color!

The absolute sharpest shoe I've gotten from AE. Love the dark brown and it's incredibly versatile. Will get a pair in black when the time is right.

The Strand is a classic shoe. I recently picked up a pair in Oxblood. The color is stunning: rich and multidimensional. I have a well-worn pair of McCallisters in Merlot but I like the look of these even better. Even my wife, who thinks AE shoes are stodgy (what do women know!), called these shoes "cute" this morning. I'm giving serious thought to picking up another pair in Brown Shell Cordovan, even though they're expensive.

Surprised at how comfortable they are on first couple of days, normally break n period is longer. For wide feet, definitely order 1/2 size larger than normal even with EE option to ensure side to side closing with laces over the tongue. Really impressed. First time buyer.

And it is extremely comfortable. I feel like a million bucks wearing this and it is perfect to wear for both formal and casual clothing. This one I'm keeping forever!

I have several pair of AE shoes and these are no exception. They fit like a glove. My feet get more and more tender with age and these support and fit so well. There is no break in, I wore them new out of box to my daughter's wedding and danced the night away and they felt and looked great.

This is my third pair of AE. The shoe is beautiful and the quality is second to none. I get compliments all the time. The shoe makes or breaks the outfit and AE will always take you to the next level. I have recommended AE to my friends. Best of all AE are made in the USA!!!!!!

This is my first pair of Allen Edmonds and when my wife and children saw the shoe they loved it. Excellent craftsmanship.

I bought these shoes in-store and am so glad I did. The shoes run narrow, so it is important to get the correct fit unless you already know. I am very pleased with the appearance of the shoe (I bought the Strands in Walnut) because they compliment just about everything. I had one minor problem with the shoe and this is where the customer service kicks in. The rubber heel liner started to separate from the rest of the heel so I took them back to the store I purchased them from. They returned the shoe at their cost and I had the shoes back, re-healed and polished within two weeks, shipped to my address. I could not be happier with my purchase. BTW, please do yourself a favor and get the shoe trees. These are not bargain-bin shoes and they should be treated like you paid decent money for them.

I have recently purchased a pair of the special order blue 'Strand' shoes. The craftmanship and fit are terrific. When I wear them, I feel like Moses parting the Red Sea because people stop, stand back, and admire the shoes. Your designers have really outdone themselves this time. They have created a true "One of a Kind". Great job! You can do anything but don't step on my Blue Strand Shoes!

Strands truly look great in every color. It's a shame that bourbon is no longer available. My pair of Strands are in walnut. I have come very close to purchasing an additional pair in another color. The shoes fit perfectly, and they are a timeless classic that will never go out of style. I own about a dozen Allen Edmonds and have been buying them for 20 years. I've kept my shoes in excellent condition by following a few guidelines. I clean and condition my shoes before the first use. Since the shoes might have been in inventory for a while, you want to make sure the leather is hydrated before wearing them. After that it's just regular intervals of cleaning, conditioning, and polishing/shining. And of course I always use proper fitting cedar shoe trees. Another important bit of information is to not wear the same pair of shoes on successive days. This way the shoe has time to naturally dry out between wearings.
