This is a very comfortable shoe from the first time I tried it on. The workmanship and quality were excellent. The quality of the brown cordovan was quite good and the time frame for a product that is essentially MTO was amazing. I could not be more pleased with how fast the shoes were made for me while still maintaining an eye on detail. I am looking forward to many years of enjoyment from my shoes.

These shoes, like all of Allen Edmonds shoes are stunning. Pictures never do their shoes justice. Craftsmanship, appearance and quality are second to none. I actually got married in a pair of Strands and other than my bride, my eye is always drawn to my shoes when I look at the pictures. The one downside, is there isn't much give if you have even a slightly higher instep. I remedy this by lacing them a little looser than I would a derby, but still get a good bit of pressure. Overall, I love these shoes, and I plan to purchase in another color in the near future.

Got the Strands in Walnut...had them for a few months now. Wonderful shoes. Get compliments every time I wear them. Everything about them is great. Perfect graduation gift.

I own 9 pair of AE's and of those, 2 pair of the Walnut Strands. I normally wear a 10.5D and my first purchase was this size off the internet. I was not disappointed however on numerous mens forums it was suggested I try them in 10E as I was experiencing a tightness around the toe box. After purchasing my second pair in 10E I couldn't be happier. I would recommend a chance to try these shoes on prior to purchase because they do run narrow for some. Once you find your right fit you'll never look back. I recommend this style and many others in the AE lineup.

I would buy more Allen Edmonds's products just for the quality!

Over Overall a well made shoe. It was on of your products I could find in my width. However it does take a fair amount of time to break in.

I love this shoe. It fits like a dream right out of the box. It's beautifully designed and crafted. I own two pair of Strands and plan to buy one or two more. I have a Walnut and an Oxblood. They are amazing shoes. I wear a 15 D and with all these fantastic Allen Edmonds shoes offered in my size I'm like a kid in a candy store. My shoe store for life!

I've often described wearing the right AE shoes comparable to the comfort of some tennis shoes. These did not disappoint. I had some reservations about going away from the rubber soles, but after wearing them for a few weeks, I have no regrets.

The shoes fit great out of the box! Every shoe I bought thus far has fit without any issue, and the quality is spot on. I love every chance I get to wear my Allen Edmonds!

This is either my 9th or 10th pair of AE, not sure which pair was rung up first. I already had a pair of Balmorals with cap toes and perforations. I passed on this shoe so many times. On a whim, I put a pair on in Walnut. It can be dressed up or down in this color. The fit and feel was so much better than the same style made from another company. I feel the people at AE are truly evil. Now I have to donate a perfectly good shoe because my feet won't allow me to wear any other brand. Thanks a lot AE, you have now ruined my ability to wear other brands. Why can't you guys just be mediocre?

I bought the Strand in walnut yesterday and I cannot be happier. Most people's first AE shoe is the park ave, but the Strand was mine. Perfect for business casual, and you can pair it with a suit too. The detail and craftsmanship really shows when you lace them up yourself. These are the first of soon to be many pairs of Allen Edmonds.

I rarely write reviews, but these shoes are awesome and I feel compelled to leave feedback on all of my AE shoes. Quality build and amazing style. Extremely happy with my purchase. Like my other shoes they are a bit stiff initially but open up well after they are broken in and fit wonderfully. Very happy with my purchase.

My very first pair of Allen Edmonds was the Strand. I picked these up a year ago and to date they still hold their shape. I do normally polish and clean them using their Allen Edmonds products, but after going through a winter and numerous rain falls, they have held their own. The last on these shoes is also great. They really conform to my feet and are really comfortable. I would definitely recommend picking up a pair.

This was my first AE shoe (I was buying Cole H before). I absolutely love it. The quality is out of this world. Within three months of this purchase, I have purchased 3 additional AE shoes and 4 belts. Quality is just amazing!

I have these in Walnut and they are beautiful too! I LOVE these in Oxblood. The color is soo rich! Getting the grey next. As long as you get fitted then you wont have any comfort issues. I have about 15 pairs of AE shoes and plan to add more. Allen Edmond's quality will keep me a loyal customer for a long time to come.

I have never had any disappointments with my Allen Edmonds shoes! I get so many stares and compliments about them. I shall collect all colors of The Strand line. This last and latest color of midnight blue is by far unique and eye catching. In fact my customers start to make me nervous because they stare at them!

Very comfortable and I love the style, they are a very nice shoe. I have 7 pairs of Allen Edmonds.

After receiving these shoes and wearing them for a few months, I can tell they are worth every penny. I purchased these in the Walnut color and receive compliments each time I wear them. My feet no longer hurt and I didn't have to deal with the heal blisters that most people complain about when buying cheaper brands.

I was amazed that these shoes were comfortable out of the box and have continued to increase in comfort. The leather is a touch darker brown than the image would suggest. My pair is far for dark chocolate brown and not in any way bronzed as I see the image.

I purchased two pairs, tried them on in the store, but was very surprised at how comfortable they were after wearing them.

This is by far the best shoe purchase I have made. The quality of the leather is incredible and the style is super trendy. I also bought a pair of Park Avenues and they are also of excellent quality and style. I was so pleased with both shoe purchases that I went back and ordered the matching belts. My next purchase will be a pair of McAllisters. Don't look any further, if you are looking for the best bang for your buck and American made products, you have come to the right place. Buy Allen Edmunds!!!!

I have 6 pairs of Strands, so obviously I like them. I recently purchased a grey pair, which is a great color. I also have Walnut, Oxblood, Brown Suede, Tan Strandmok, and Grey Strandmok 2. On my grey Strands, the sizing is off (always have ordered and worn 10B), in that they are much smaller; but I already wore them so I'm stuck with them. I would advise wearing your shoes (on carpet) for an hour or so before you decide if the fit is right -- don't just put them on for 3 minutes. But AE is probably the last great shoe maker in the US.
