AE is an iconic USA-made brand that has withstood the test of time and has not cheapened their labor to choose quantity over quality. The result? Very well made, stylish, durable, comfortable shoes that will last you a decade, with proper care. The Strands are no exception. They are beautifully crafted, and you can spot the AE quality marks a mile away. The one thing to beware of is fit. This last (also used for the Fifth Avenues and Bartletts) runs NARROW. I'm usually a 10 D, but hearing these run narrow got a 9.5 E. when they came in the mail they were too tight and I had to go to a 9.5 EEE. I recommend trying fit in store. Then I recommend buying these!

I purchased the Strand in Walnut when they were on sale. A wonderful value. The shoe fit like the Park Avenue. Super comfortable out of the box. A sharp looking timeless shoe. I highly recommend it.

I have always heard great experiences woth this shoe but have never owned a pair. I finally went for it and I know understand what all the praise is about. I can truly see the craftsmanship and quality the shoe brings. Look is amazing and fit great. Worth every penny!

Strand is the style i was looking for to buy. These shoes are great because of high quality, design, comfertable and true to size for me. I will say it is worth to invest in these shoes.

I bought my very first Strand in walnut (size 13E) & the quality is top-notch. For people with wide feet, Allen Edmonds is perfect. it's is also very comfortable as well. I also have another pair of Strand in black.

I have this in the walnut and it is beautiful. My foot is a little wide so the strand is just a little tight at the cap stitching so for me the McAllister is a little more comfortable. I would buy again.

In walnut, this is a great looking shoe. I have it in black as well and in both cases this shoe is like wearing a slipper. Once broken in this is as comfortable a shoe as you will find and well worth the price. I highly recommend this and any other AE shoe you may be thinking about purchasing.

The 65 last fits so well for me. I love it. The strand looks handsome in the walnut finish and I couldn't be happier. No one on earth will ever regret buying this shoe unless they hate good looks.

Just got my third pair of Strands, with a total of six AE pairs in the last two years. Wearing them is kind of like driving a Mercedes. Once you own one, nothing else is good enough.

its pretty obvious why this is one of AE's best selling shoes. I've had mine for just over 1.5 years and wear it 1-2 times per week and it still looks new. its the best dress shoe I've ever had and probably my favorite pair of AE that I own. highly recommend!

I own several different models of AE's and the Strand is my personal favorite of them all. The styling of this shoe allows it to be worn with virtually any suit, outfit or combination and look great and accent them all. I found they run a bit narrow in this last, so I order one size and width up from my regular size and they fit comfortably and the cork foot bed settles in nice and firm. The shoe is well constructed and QC is to be commended. However, I have a confession to make: I enjoy polishing the shoes almost as much as wearing them. It is a joy to add to the patina of the shoe and know I am keeping them intact for many years of wear and good looks. Thank you, AE.!

As a guy who has had major reconstructive foot surgery I had struggled to find shoes that were supportive, comfortable and good looking. I came across allen Edmonds while looking for hand crafted American shoes. I am impressed with my shoes, they fit well and my 14EEE shoes are wonderful. They look as if they wouldn't be comfortable, but they are. I have had shoes custom made, and these are the best dress shoes I have.

These shoes are great fit was awesome and very comfy.

These shoes fit well though are more narrow than I am used to especially for an E width.

Bought both the Strand and Park Avenues in Nordstrom Hawaii. Had been meaning to buy AE shoes for a long time but don't have AE in Australia. I recommend the Walnut colour as it really stands out and is their signature shoe. Goes well with navy suit or denim jeans. I suggest buying some sole edge dressing (in travel size) as you'll be applying this every few months to keep it in top condition. Leather is soft and easy to clean and polish. Probably my best shoe I've ever owned.

I am a relatively new customer, the Strand is my third pair of AE shoes (in just two months). A fourth pair is on back order. The two things I love most (aside from the fact they're beautiful) is that they're made in America, and that I know they will last for years and years. There is not another product of any kind that I have purchased in recent memory about which I can make either of those claims. Allen Edmonds shoes are made the way I imagine everything in this country used to be made. That is, they are made to last.

The strands in walnut make you stand out in a crowd. Be ready for all the compliments You'll receive wearing these shoes. These shoes require no break in time and are true to size. It's important to me that these shoes are made in the USA, You are paying for the craftmanship. I recommend purchasing the cedar shoe trees to keep your shoes looking new. These shoes are the GOLD STANDARD.

Allen Edmonds are my favorite shoes I have ever owned and I feel like a million bucks in them. The design is timeless, the colors are perfect, the quality is the best and the price is perfect. I have heard some people complain about quality issues due to them being handmade. I don't know what the H they're talking about. Simply stated, these shoes are the best. I own 4 pairs currently and am already looking forward to getting 4 more.
