This is my third pair from AE. I can not put into words how comfortable their dress shoes are; at least in a manner that would do them justice. Great fit, comfortable for all day wear and great for people like be with a wide width. I will never wear any other brand of dress shoe after discovering AE. I had to special order these in my size, and I could not have been happier with the result. These are the most beautiful shoes I've seen in person. Not as versatile as brown, but I love wearing them.

This is my first ever pair of Allen Edmonds and now own 4. The last fits so well on my feet that it is mind blowing. It is comfortable and because of the designs, the toe creases don't really show up. My only qualm is that the sliver of rubber on the heel is wearing away and even starting to flap off well before I need to get the shoe resoled. Otherwise, great feel, great look, great shoe. Planning on buying this again in the future.

The strand was my first large shoe purchase, and I don't regret it one bit! It fits great and continues to look beautiful through my moderate wearing. Looks great with everything from jeans to dress pants.

The Strand is absolutely the best shoe that money can buy. I have three pair of Strands: black, merlo, and brown. Allen Edmonds is superior in quality, workmanship, and style. Their customer service is second to none. Allen Edmonds is the only brand that I will buy.

I spent 3+ years longing for my first pair of AE's but felt the price point was not quite practical. I was lucky enough to receive this pair as a Christmas gift from my father-in-law who wears nothing but AE's (15+ pairs). Within one month of receiving this gift I had purchased a second pair of AE's and now regularly visit the website in search of my 3rd pair. I highly encourage anyone who is on the fence to take the plunge and purchase a pair today. I will NEVER buy another brand of dress shoes again!

First of all, Allen Edmonds have a wide variety of size, color, and style. You will find a pair that fits your daily business/casual needs. Go into their store, get a fitting, and you now have access to a large arsenal of handsome shoes in your fingertips. (dont be shy, they have approachable, friendly experts willing to help you even if you dont buy anything. But you most likely will after you tried on their stellar shoes) I personally have multiple pairs of shoes from Allen Edmond. From loafers to boots. Their sizing is consistent across all their shoes. Little to no break in period required. Its like a second layer of skin that fits perfectly around your feet what i like to call "magical feeling". If I had to pick a favorite, the Strand is hands down my go to favorite! The shoe is strikingly great looking that demands attention. It goes well on clothes from shorts, jeans, pants, to slacks. The shoe works well with them all. It is such a versatile shoe. Got tons of compliments on them every time i wear them. Did i mention how magical they feel on your feet? During lunch, I would walk a mile with them because I like to keep in shape. During the walk, it feels like walking on pillows. After the walk, my feet still feels fantastic and begs for more. Most people would wear their sneakers to walk a mile, but Allen Edmonds shoes are that comfortable! In the past, I didnt understand how some people can wear dress shoes all day long. But that was before I met Allen Edmonds. They found the perfect size for me, and I am wearing my athletic shoe less, and my Allen Edmonds more and more on. Get a pair and you will never look back. I purchased the Strand Cap-Toe a little over 6 months ago. The shoe fits terrifically well, and remains comfortable even after grueling days in the office. I have a fairly large collection of high-end dress shoes, and never has a pair drawn half as many compliments as these. I've since purchased the shoe in black as well. Terrific buy.

Extremely well-made, classic American shoes from one of the best known names in men's shoes. The strand design is one of AE's best, you just can't go wrong with it. These shoes are an investment in your wardrobe and yourself. I'm so glad I made this purchase.

Could not say better things about these shoes. I now own them in 3 colors-black, bourbon, and walnut. I love the fit and comfort of these. I spend a lot of time on my feet throughout the day and they are still comfortable when going on the 15th hour of wearing. The quality is second to none and when you wear them out, the Recrafting returns them to you like a brand new pair. I am an Allen Edmonds Man for LIFE!!!!!

I've had these shoes for 4 years now. I have had them re-crafted two times because I wear them so much. These are in my rotation of four pairs of AE shoes. I even got married in them. You won't regret buying these shoes, they're comfortable and look great.

Supremely comfortable. Simply the best! I wonder why there is such a crazy fan following for Alden shoes when Allen Edmonds makes even a better pair and absolutely flawless.

I have purchased this Shoe in Black & Walnut. Durability is excellent. Fit and comfort & style excellent.

This is a classic! I bought mine in dark brown burnished. The shoes are made in the USA and are of high quality. The price may seem high at first, but I would say these are the cheapest shoes for the quality. Take care of your shoes. They will last forever. At the minimum, I recommend investing in shoe trees.

I love Allen Edmonds' shoes. They always fit exactly the same every time and with a little care, they hold up great.

Another exceptional pair of shoes. I took them out of the box and wore them for 5 Hours.

Normally, I am a 9.5D in dress shoes. I ordered that size in the Strands and they were tight and long. I seamlessly exchanged them via mail for 9.0E and they fit absolutely perfectly and look beautiful. I have gotten multiple compliments on them after only owning them for a few weeks.

Match them with a pair of jeans though and wow! They will be noticed and you will look dope! Just make sure to get the colors right. Walnut is my favorite color in this shoe. I like Merlot but there is little difference between Merlot and Oxblood. Merlot is slighty darker. More of a grape darkness. Oxblood is a bit redder. You can only really tell side by side though. This is not the case with other shoes in these colors. My only disappointment is that they do not have the Strand in Chili. Why not? Please make it available in Chili.
