These shoes are constantly in my rotation. Dress them up, dress them down, do whatever you want with them, they are amazing. Just got mine recrafted and looking forward to getting lots more life out of them.

Beautifully crafted dress shoe! I live in Manhattan and walk 3-6 miles a day in them and they are very comfortable and durable!

My 30 year old cap-toe oxfords from Allen Edmonds finally wore out after multiple re-solings. Found almost identical shoes at the Philadelphia store, in my hard-to-find size (11.5 EEE), in the Strand walnutcaptoe oxfords.. Comfortable from the beginning, broke in easily, look great! Terrific for walking in all day. Get lots of compliments on the look. They fit me better than my custom-made shoes from Europe, and quality is terrific. Sorry I waited so long to get another pair.

I purchased these shoes mainly for Lindy Hop. The heels aren't leather, which is a con when combined with the fact that there is no way AE will give you leather heels, and it'll probably hurt your warranty if you get it done elsewhere. That aside, these shoes have been great. I wear casual clothing for work so I don't get much opportunity to wear these outside of dancing, but I'm sure they will stand up to everyday use if they can handle the Lindy Hop. You may need to upgrade your wardrobe if you buy these shoes. It's hard to pair them with clothing that is not worthy.

I own 13 pairs of AE shoes. The Strand is a classic and is well admired when I wear them. I expect the Strands to last for many years. Comfortable and classy!

Great shoe, comfortable and versatile. I have these in cognac and can be worn with many different colors of slacks along with jeans.

When you offered your seconds not so long ago I posted a harsh review, which you pulled down. Those shoes were terrible. This shoe is terrific but I wish you would show greater integrity with your reviews. If you only post the good stuff you lose credibility. I love the Strand. I'm a tough fit and Strand gives it.

The perfect shoes to complement any suit. I bought these in the walnut color and they quickly became my favorite shoes. I also added Allen Edmonds red laces which were a nice touch with a little bit of pizaz. They are very comfortable and at the end of the day when you when you take them off you do not have sore feet, I honestly feel this is the mark of an excellent shoe.

Have owned my Strands for 4 years, and they continue to be one of my most worn shoes. Pair well with jeans or in the office, and have been easy to maintain. Excellent quality.

I purchased my Strands in Oxblood because I wanted a bit of pop. I have the McAllister in Merlot, but I still wanted a bit more red. I was concerned about being too loud with too bright a red, but that was not the case. The color seems to be just a couple of shades more red than the Merlot color. The fit is the exact same fit as the McAllister. I went with my normal standard size (11.5 D). I get compliments from women, referring to them as having a certain appeal. I've got to get me another pair !!! I need all the appeal I can get.

I have purchased 6 pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes this year. All have been great!!! Seems as though I would love to have each pair in a couple different colors. Depends on what I am wearing and the mood I am in. Best shoes I have ever worn and probably some of the best shoes made anywhere. Thanks for all your hard work making high quality shoes. These Strand's are my fourth pair of Allen Edmonds shoes that I own. The walnut color is beautiful and looks at place with dress clothing as well as jeans. It's such a pleasure to be able to find stylish shoes to wear on my size 10A foot. As with all my other Allen Edmonds shoes, the craftsmanship and fit are superb.

I was never the one to spend a lot of money on something like shoes, but after a little encouragement from some college friends, I decided to buy my first pair of Allen Edmond shoes (the McGregor). I was hooked after that. I've bought a couple more since then, including the Strand, and even successfully convinced some of my friends to buy a pair as well. We haven't regretted the purchases at all. The Strand is my go-to shoe when I want to look sharp, and not only are they sure to get some complements, they're also very comfortable. They look great in business attire and also go well with a pair of dark jeans and a sport coat. You won't find a better quality shoe in that price range - it's well worth the investment.

Overall, i'm satisfied with my purchase of this shoe. I loved it so much that I went ahead and purchased a "factory 2nd" pair as my daily "go-to" shoe. It is versatile for a casual or suit-and-tie look.

I bought a pair of Strand cap toe shoes about four months ago. They have more than met my expectations for looks, comfort and quality. I am a retired educator and have been a satisfied customer since my high school days. My friends and I fell in love with A&E shoes in the mid fifties and I have been a customer since that date. I am a 14-c any your shoe has been the only one that has provided style and a good fit. I have no idea how many pairs I have purchased but it must be 100 or more . Thank you for holding to high standards , reliability and quality at reasonable prices.

I bought the walnut strand shoes as a dress shoe for work. They are very comfortable and look great. I have found that they can be worn with anything from jeans to a business suit and look at home. The walnut color is a real standout.

These were the first pair of Allen Edmund's shoes I purchased. I could not be more impressed with the quality and comfort of this shoe. They have worn extremely well, and required very little break in to mold to my feet. Best of all, they are made in the USA! Based on my experience with this shoe and the customer service of this company, I now own 4 other pairs of Allen Edmund's shoes with a fifth pair on the way!

I can't say a bad thing about Allen Edmonds or my favorite model "Strand" in Walnut. Beautiful and timeless design. If you are looking to get compliments and turned heads, this is the pair for you. They are worth every penny and will last you years. I have had my Strand's reconstructed a few times and they still look brand new. Save your money on designer shoes. Allen Edmonds is the way to go. The shoe will mold to your feet and you will walk in comfort.

I love my Strands. They look great with jeans and also when dressed up. They're definitely well made, and I expect them to last a very long time. The only very minor complaint I have is of a couple of stitches that were missed, but that's not a deal breaker for me.
