Great fit and color. Well made . Excellent quality , like all Allen Edmonds shoes.

There are so many shoe makers out there willing to sell you poorly crafted shoes for high profit margins. Allen Edmonds, or "the Cobbler" as I call it, has again put me at ease. Because I know that at least the Cobbler still cares if my confidence fills a room when I walk into it, to say nothing of how my feet feel at the end of the day. Thank you. Incredible product.

Purchased the walnut color. Great shoe for semi casual and dress wear. Try on shoes at a store before purchasing online.

I can't rave enough about these. We all know the quality of an AE shoe but these are my "go to" pair. I ordered a pair of these the week before I left on a trip to New York City and didn't have a chance to wear them much before leaving. I walked from one end of the island to the other and my new Strands were like butter. No chaffing, no rubbing, just comfort. Nice!

I have many pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes, but when I need to bring out my strongest statement I wear my Walnut Strands. These shoes fit like a glove, comfortable, and highly stylish. I enjoy getting compliments on these pair of shoes and I happily tell them they are Allen Edmonds!

I would have liked to order the matching belt but it was a 5-6 weeks delivery window where the shoes where 2 days delivery. disappointing. There is a side of the left shoe that the leather is not cut right. It bothers me but since it is inside the shoe and won't easily be apparent I don't mind and kept it but this is why I can't give it a 5 stars across the board.

We ordered these shoes and they arrived just in time for our wedding. The fit is spot on. The strands are even more striking in person.

I purchased this shoe a couple years ago and it has become my go-to dress shoe. The quality of the leather is second to none and the brogue pattern is very attractive. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a more stylish alternative to the Park Avenue or just and overall great dress shoe.

I own 18 pair lf Allen Edmonds out of a total of 38 pair of shoes in my closet. I own at least six pair of last 65 which are the best fitting and feeling shoes that I have ever worn. You do the best job in bringing new styles to market.

Perfect fit, which is always risky given how fat and wide my feet are (13EEE). These fit well right out of the box, but after one clean/condition/polish, they fit even better. Looks great and is my favorite by far. Will be getting these in different colors over time.

I was a groomsmen in three weddings this summer and they all agreed on light brown/ walnut as their chosen shoe color. Their decision caused me to look into buying one quality shoe rather than my previous pattern of buying bad shoes.These shoes are fantastic! The strand is simply a stunning shoe. They have a timeless design that gets compliments every time I wear them. As a heavily brogued balmoral these shoes are incredibly versatile, fitting nearly all but the most formal occasions. I went with oxblood, which may not be as versatile as a dark chili or brown burnished, but is a gorgeous burgundy color. I find oxblood to be similar to AE's merlot but the leather has a greater range of reds and purples. One thing to note is that the 65 last can be tricky to fit, so if this is your first pair of Allen Edmonds I suggest going to a store for a fitting. In my experience, I have to go a half size down in length and up to an e width for a proper fit on the 65 last.

This is probably my 10th pair of Allen Edmonds dress shoes. Everyone should have at least 2-3 pairs!

I have received several comments at work, but don't think these shoes are just for the office. These are the first dress shoes that I feel comfortable wearing on the weekends in a more casual environment. They look great when paired with a nice pair of jeans. The Strand is such a great style I see myself purchasing another pair in the future in another color.

I have the black MK4 version with Dainite sole and it has become my favorite shoe. I love the quality and the way it looks with the sharkskin panels. I was having some trouble with my feet and the dr said I should have some shoes that have a softer sole, I tried the dainite and I love it! Most comfortable shoe I own!

I purchased a pair of Strand Cap-Toe Oxfords on sale. Allen Edmonds was out of my size online, but directed me to a retail store in Atlanta that had my size in the color I wanted. They couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating, and shipped my shoes immediately. Although the same last, Strands seem a little snugger than the McAllsters I own. But they're well-made and stylish and look great with a suit or jeans. I would definitely purchase another pair.

Of all the Allen Edmonds shoes I own (roughly a dozen paris), these stand out for their beauty. Great detailing, lush color. Has the comfort and quality you would expect.
