If you're expecting the classic workwear fit of genuine 505, you have no guarantees. I bought a pair of the 505s a couple months ago from Zappos, since then I lost some weight and needed to purchase a size down. When I went to a Levi's store to pick up a pair I noticed the fit was just not the same. I figured Levi's is generally really inconsistent and same number in different washes may fit differently. When I purchased another pair in the same wash from Zappos, these two fit differently! I examined all the tags on the jeans and noticed one discrepancy: the original pair was called 505 Regular Fit, and this new pair was badged 505 Straight Fit. Very disappointing (not Zappos fault obviously). The new fit has a low rise (the original had a classic work-wear high rise) and is snug in the hips (probably resembles a 514).

I really like wearing Levi's jeans. I used to wear style 559, but now have switched to the 505. These jeans have a good fit. They are a bit closer fitting then the relaxed 559, but that is exactly what I was looking for. These is only one issue that I do not like. I have ordered these 505 in several clothes but all in the same size, and yet different colors fit differently. The color Range fit me very well, but the color Revolver had tighter fit. The color Highland was practically skin tight. So do keep in mind that the fit of the jeans vary with the colors.

These are great jeans. The size is very accurate. They sit well on the hips. They have nice coloration, and are very comfortable. It is hard to beat a good pair of Levis.

My husband is 60 years old and has been wearing 505 jeans all of his adult life. Whoever decided these jeans needed to be changed should be fired. They sit too low and are not the regular fit of the past. Levi's has just lost a long time loyal customer!

I bought these for my son who is tall (5'10") and very slim (29" waist). He loves the fit, and I love how they stay up on his waist.

The fit, style, fabric feel and overall look is exactly what I wanted. Couldn't find it in stores. And of course, very happy with the quick delivery.

Received these unbelievably fast, the norm for Zappos shipping service. The jeans are great! They fit nicely, the quality on them is as expected, and I haven't had any issues with them thus far (been 2 weeks since I received them). Another great Zappos purchase, thanks!

This is a great pair of jeans. I recently lost a significant amount of weight and decided to go from a "Loose Fit" 550 to this "Straight fit" 505. Glad I did. The look and feel is perfect and this particular color is good for a casual office environment. I bought 2 additional pairs, and another in the Silver Fox color. As for Zappos? Why shop anywhere else?!

I love Levis 505 straight fit jeans. This is the quality I remember with a better fit. Fabulous pants!

31x36 is impossible to find. These fit my son great and Zappos is the only place I found them!

Levi quality is unparalleled for all purpose pants. I have used them since I was a kid, and I am now 82. Enough said.

These are a good product, I expected to receive a higher quality jean material like the material I got with the boot cut 527 in the Andi Wash. They looked like the same fabric but it truly is not. They are still a great jean, it is worth exactly what its priced at whereas some of the Levi's where you get a really incredible deal. If you are looking for a stylish boot cut in a great material, forget how weird the guy in the andi washed 527's looks and buy a pair.

I have a full array of 505 jeans. This one is very different. It is a much thinner jeans than my others, which results in it looking somewhat stretched out by the end of the day. I also wonder how they will hold up. The color and wash on them are very cool looking. I would buy it again, mostly because its a nice contrast to regular blue jeans. The back tag on the back instead of brown is awesome. I've always thought that big brown leather tag made Levis look a bit chunky.

I like the classic fit and style. Sadly the ply on modern jeans just isn't what it used to be. These are the best I have found in a long time.

I've now ordered 5 pairs of the exact same size (some in different colors) and each cut is different from the other, each is made in a different county, and I kept only one that fits the way my old 505's do. And it's not just Zappos, I've experienced the same with every retailer over the past few years. Very frustrating, Levi's. All the more thankful for Zappos' free returns!

Levi's told me this style is to replace the discontinued 505 Regular Fit, with some minor fitting changes. Suggested I order a size smaller...wrong. They don't fit well nor does the size we would normally buy in the discontinued fit. Washed all 4 pair and are stuck with them! Phooey.

They ride up in the crotch, and they sit much lower on the waist. Pull up the levi.com site and read all the horrible reviews on the 505s. I'm sorry I did not read them first.

When ordering online I try to be very careful to make the correct selections. Most companies make the return process very difficult. My experience with Zappos was excellent. I made a mistake when ordering three pairs of jeans. They made the return process so easy that I was amazed. I also received the new set of jeans just two days later. Zappos has great customer service with both their selections available and the return process if you need it. My son also loves the jeans. He is very tall and very slender. Thanks for carrying his odd ball size.

During the 2011 Christmas Season I used several companies to make purchases, for I'm disabled and have a difficult time walking. Without a doubt I received the best service via the order. I also was shocked that the package arrived earlier than promised. It is companies like this that really get it -- customer service and doing what you say you are going to do.
