It feels true to size but my pair is in Beewax, the leather is stiff so I had to go half size up to make the break-in period more tolerable. I love the style but it is not comfortable to wear at all, maybe takes a few weeks to break in; not much of support, not comfortable walking even for a few blocks as a new pair, this is perhaps what I have to trade in for the style.

I bought this boot for style and I love it for that. There is no arch support and the quality is mediocre.

Stylish but ouch so painful. I have narrow feet and these were too narrow for me. I tried wearing thick socks to break in but couldn’t endure.

Wow! I have a low step and had trouble getting my foot into the boot. The shoe was also to tight at the toe and too short. I'm going to try a 1/2 size larger to see if it fits any better. Hopefully, it will as I like the style with my ankle length pants.

This boot looks classy chukka. But my size 8s felt like 7s or 71/2s, so I had to return them. A bit narrow too.

I love the look of this shoe, but with a high instep I could barely get my foot in the shoe. I wanted these to work. I thought about ordering a size up, but then read other reviews that said the shoe looked long. Clarks', PLEASE make boots in a wide!

I liked these boots and wanted to keep them however, as stated by others they are a little too snug. I have a narrow foot, however at the widest part of my foot they were very snug. I tried wearing them in the house for an afternoon thinking they would give, but I can't take the chance that they won't loosen up. Sadly they are going back. They were fine length wise and held my ankle well

Unfortunately, these shoes had absolutely no support. Not in the arch and also not in the front of the shoe. I love Clark’s, but these definitely disappointed me! They’re going back! Ho hum!

Super cool looking shoe, only downfall is they run very small. I'm a size 10 and these in that size were super tight I didn't even think I'd get my foot in it. Wish they came in wide with as well!

I was very disappointed with the quality of these shoes. The materials were low quality and the insole was coming unglued before I even tried on the shoe. I have several other pairs of Clark’s that are great and cost less.

This shoe is too narrow and particularly tight at the base of the laces (even when completely unlaced.) I tried a half size up and had the same problem. I love the look but could not live with the fit. Returned both.

This shoe felt very comfortable when I first put it on, but the back of the shoe, behind my heel is so stiff it hurts. Cannot wear and must return unfortunately.

I love these signature Clarks boots! They're the perfect boot to throw on with casual fall outfits.

These are narrow and tight. I bought these for my 11 yo son to try. He is a Big Kids 6.5-7, a very hard size to find. Mens shoes are too wide and fall off his feet. I put him in his sister's oxfords to check the size and ordered. They were so tight at the entrance to the front half, he couldn't get his skinny long feet in. My daughter tried them and she couldn't get her feet in them. I don't know what Clarks is thinking with this design

I got these in the mail tonight and was so disappointed when I tried them on - so tight that I could barely get them on. This pair came in my normal size and I seldom have any issue with fit. These were just not high enough for my foot to slip inside easily. The length and width were fine but the height - something we don't usually think of - was for maybe a person with very flat feet.

I bought this shoe for a Halloween costume and in the end just couldn't keep them. They really aren't my style and cost a bit much for a wear once thing. I will say that these shoes were super comfortable to try on. The suede is very soft and flexible and I can see why some people like them so much.

Cute idea, but should be more comfortable! Zero cushioning, hard edge around ankle opening. Did not work for me. So happy for Zappos lovely return policy!

Small for it's sizing

I sooooo wanted these to fit my foot. They are gorgeous - the leather is beautiful! I have what is almost always a normal width foot - but I am on the wide size of normal. I think I've bought one pair of shoes in the last five years that was a width other than B. But I could barely get my foot in this boot. It is definitely narrow-ish. Kind of like Converse Chuck Taylors. If you have a narrow-normal foot, and like the looks of these boots, get them, because you're going to love the leather. I'm bummed that I have to send them back. :(

a little stiff

I got these shoes in grey and find them stylish in a laid back casual way. The sides of the soles get discolored easily, however, and my usual size is a bit large, unless I'm wearing thick socks. Nice boots, but I think they mark up too easily and probably wouldnt purchase them again.

I wanted so much to like these boots. They run very small - one full size. I usually am a solid 7, and the 7 1/2s were way too tight. Getting an 8 will not be an option b/c then they will be too long. Also, these boots are not comfortable - very hard bottoms. I opted for the Desert Acre which run 1/2 size small but are much more comfortable.

Bought these based on all the great reviews and I like the style, but trying them on once, then again, I could not believe how incredibly uncomfortable they are in the sole! I have a lot of experience with minimalist shoes so I thought their less structured style would suit me. Unfortunately, the sole seems a bad combo of very firm and unstructured. Sorry Clarks, these ones are going back.
