Bought regular size 9. No way was this a normal size 9. This shoe would fit a size 8. Disappointed and returned.

I wish I could give this five stars - it's a great-looking boot that I've been eyeing for years. I spent hour looking for other brands because I can't wear a narrow toe. I splurged and guess what? Squished toes - no way I can wear them. If that isn't an issue for you, then try them - they're so cute!

These are nice looking shoes but I did not find them to be very comfortable. The bottoms are rather hard and stiff. After walking around for several hours my feet hurt. From the picture I thought the soles were a flexible crepe kind of material but unfortunately not and the soles turned dirty in the first hour so I could not return them. Way too expensive for the comfort factor. I want to try some sort of footbed pads but they are snug as it is. Maybe after I stretch them out a lot!

I like the look of these shoes, but they aren't very comfortable...especially for Clarks! The toe box is fairly narrow and they have absolutely no support -- they are totally flat (no arch, no padding). I kept them and plan on putting an insole in them, but I'm afraid they then be too tight. They are leather, so hopefully they'll stretch with wear.

I loved the look of these but returning them because the back of the boot happens to hit a part of my ankle that hurts when I put them on...not sure breaking them in would solve this problem...will try another Clarks shoe. Will try smaller size in hopes that may help.

Wanted to love these but the comfort just isn't there. Me heels were hurting from pressure after just a few minutes of walking around the house. On the upside, the suede is soft as butter and I loved the flexibility of the sole and the overall styling is great, but returning because of lack of comfort.

I actually purchased two pair of these boots - one in dark brown suede and one in brown leather. However, be forewarned - the white crepe sole turns yucky black with dirt, and if it rains, it absorbs water like a sponge. They need to use another sole. Beyond that they are comfortable. But I would not purchase another with these soles.

I have been eyeing these shoes for so long. Once they arrived, I was very disappointed. I love the style, although from my vantage point in the mirror, I wasn't sold. Despite that, I hung onto them for a while, hoping to fall in love. The main problem was that they were not very comfortable. For me, they were lacking in arch support and the back of the shoe really dug into my achilles. I couldn't get past that for the price, despite how much I loved the shoe. Sadly, they went back.

First of all, I love the look of these shoes. I really wanted an alternative to sneakers - something that was low-key and casual without making me look lazy about what I wear. They fit the bill in that way and look great. Having said that, I am so sad to say that these shoes are really uncomfortable. There is no support, the soles are rock-hard, and I get really sore feet - especially sore heels - when I wear them for more than 30 minutes. I have never had sore feet in my life, so I have to think this is due to the shoes. This actually reminds me of my experience with Frye boots. They look so good, but feel so bad. I am puzzled as some of the reviews simply rave about the comfort so it is possible that the Desert Boots and I are just a bad combination.

I wear a size 9N. They chafed my Achilles tendon and felt stiff there. And although I love the look of them in the picture, I just did not like the look of them on my feet. They just looked too big and clunky and were a little too wide for me. I also, wished that they had arch support, but there was nothing.

I saw these online and loved the style but the feeling didn't convey when I received them. I wear a 9.5 and ordered in a 10 in the beeswax leather and a 9.5 in the black suede. The leather ones were so stiff and still tight, where the shoe bent at the toes squished my feet and the heel hit in a bad place and rubbed all wrong. The suede ones were softer and more comfortable but did not feel like they would hold up very well. The black sole/black material combo didn't do much for me aesthetically in person either- it needs some contrast. Both pairs made my long narrow feet look like they were encased in clown shoes. Returning both.

I wear an 11 in most brands (a 10.5 in Stuart Weitzman) and this boot was a little too long for me. The width was a normal medium except for in the heel where it was too wide. My heel would not stay put in the boot. The taupe is a great color with medium or dark wash jeans. I'm returning them because even with arch supports, they don't fit my foot.

These didn't work for my foot--need skinny, flat toes. It should've been obvious to me from the picture that it's short at the toe. I like the look, but they're very old school in terms of support and comfort (in other words, very little).

This is a very nice classic chukka. However, there is absolutely no cushion in the foot bed, walking on hard surfaces is uncomfortable. There is not much room in the toe box to compensate for a thick sock. They run large. They are going back.

I love these shoes! I will admit they are not the most comfortable, I got blisters right away. But they are so pretty! Since they are leather, I have high hopes that they will soften up, and ware in quite a bit more. For now, I will continue to wear them, and hope I don't have to walk too far. :)

This boot was so cute! I was so excited to get them, and they're probably just made for people with higher arches and everything, but I was so disappointed by the fit. They were clunky and rubbed above my ankle. There was no arch support, but I couldn't fit an insole in the shoe, and the top of the shoe rubbed against my foot, especially where the sides and the tongue were sewn to the top. They look great, but I think I'll probably have to return them.

Very narrow and stiff material. It is very noticeable the quality has changed. No support at all. My feet were super sore after 6 hours of sedentary activity.

I have these boots in a different color and I love them. I was so disappointed when I tried these on they were too small. I ordered the same size as my other ones. Pulled out the old pair and it’s at least 1/2 inch longer than the new boots. I’m bummed. I wear a 10 and they don’t make an 11.

Like other reviewers, I have had my original suede Clarks desert boots for years and love them. I've always wanted the beeswax color and decided to buy them but ended up with the wheat nubuck because it looked like a nice color for summer. First problem: SIZING. I ordered my regular women's size 9 - same as my suede originals and pretty much every shoe and boot I own. These newer Clarks don't fit anything like the older ones. I have an average width foot, more on the narrow end of average, and the size 9 was so short and so narrow and tight in the instep that it was immediately painful. I ordered a 9.5 and a 10 thinking that would help but the 9.5 was still too short and the instep was still tight. The 10 felt better in the instep but was a bit too long and my heel slipped so that won't work either. I don't know why Clarks messed with the sizing but there is definitely something off about it. Of course, these desert boots have never had any arch support and I didn't expect any this time either. Second problem: COLOR. In online pictures the wheat nubock looks like a blush color but it's really off white or just very very light. I would never use the word wheat in any description of these boots. The laces are a blush color, the color I thought the shoes would be, but I really do not want off white chukkas. Still, if one of the three sizes had fit I would probably have kept them. Now I'm afraid if I order the beeswax leather, the color I originally wanted, I'll have the same sizing issues! I would definitely recommend trying these on at a retailer if you have one close by rather than ordering online. There is something very wrong with the sizing.

These are adorable. However the material is very stiff and hard to get on. Once on, they were too tight. I purchased a 6.5 M. If the fabric/material had been softer I would have ordered a size up.

First of all, I hope Clarks reads these reviews. I really wanted this boot to work out since I've been wanting to try this style with the crepe sole. However, this was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever tried to get my foot into. I ordered my usual size in Clarks, but not only was it too short, but it must be made for pancake flat feet. I don't know what has happened to Clarks' sizing, but this boot was riduculously tight. There was no way to go up a size, because the heel area felt loose. Come on, Clarks. Get it together!! I was very disappointed that this boot didn't work out and had to return them.

Order UP! I usually wear a 7.5 or 8; ordered an 8, and could barely get my foot into the shoe.

felt at least a full size smaller, could not get my foot in! This was surprising as I've worn many Clarks styles over the years and this was not a problem. I did like that it is a soft suede boot, may try to re-order different size. The blue color is nice and would look great with jeans.
