Love the style of this boot. However, it was too heavy, no foot support, and the size 10 looked huge on my foot.

This boot couldn't be any cuter (even my mother approved), but it lacks the arch and ankle support to be suitable for hiking in snow. I tried them with several insoles and as badly as I wanted them to feel good, they just couldn't justify the cost, no matter how cute.

Super cute to look at, and warm, but way too big; even with thick socks, my very normal sized feet are swimming in these. They are hard to put on, the fur at the top sheds, and there are odd places, especially near the ankles, where they pinch. They are also so far not terrific on slippery surfaces. Not recommended.

I bought these boots while visiting Chicago in the spring to take back to UK with me for the winter. Trying them on when I received them, they looked good and seemed like they would be suitable for the relatively mild winters in England, even if they did feel quite heavy. Boy, was I Wrong! The first of my complaints starts with the fact that these boots have no flexibility so you end up with extreme pressure on your back to make up for the lack of movement in your ankles. Secondly, these boots are far from warm. It feels like there is no insulation whatsoever. I even tried adding a wool insole to help but nonetheless, I have to manage with three pairs of layered socks to keep somewhat warm! Being originally from North American winter climate and this brand having been known as great winter boots, I feel greatly disappointed. If I were still living in the USA, I would absolutely return these but alas, I am stuck with them.

This boot is not comfortable. It is hard, has no flex in the ankle, is very flat and leans back. The laces fall right out of the uppermost top loops and they have to be re-laced there every time. They should have had hooks at the top instead. They are a wee bit more comfortable if laced really loose, but if one part of the lace is tight, it feels like a rope over folds of leather around your leg which is pretty much what it is on the front. Going to the store with these, only because I have to wear them to get out of my snowy house and trudge through the snowy/slushy parking lots, is like trudging through sand. Very tiresome. The worst part is that they have no effective insulation. I wear them with wool socks and my feet are cold, my toes are freezing. I could barely handle being out with the kids sledding today for a half an hour in about 20 degrees F. I could have been wearing sneakers. I bought them because they looked nice, but I was first looking for a serious winter snow boot and they just are not. So disappointing.

I live in Vermont where winter is serious. My feet run on the chilly side, but I had high hopes for these boots, as they look very warm. My feet FREEZE in these boots. I think it's because the foot bed is very close to the ground? Aesthetically it probably looks better, but I bought them for both the look and the warmth, so for me they are a fail.

These looked good, although I've shied away from Sorel in the past because they always felt too heavy and clunky. It came as no surprise to find these boots felt the same this time as before. It sounds crazy but 2 lb. is a heavy boot for my 5'3" frame. I also have a narrow heel and no matter how much I cranked these down, my heel still rubs up and down. I'm done with Sorel for good. These are heading back.

I love the look of this boot but the Sorel's are extremely wide. I have a narrow foot -- probably an A width, and while I am used to wearing B or medium widths because there are so few narrow shoes, these boots are really more towards a medium to wide width. Had to return unfortunately. They did feel warm and I am sure they are great for cold and wet days.

Looks can be deceiving! Beautiful, warm, but very slippery! I even contacted Sorel customer service department to let them know that someone could really get hurt because of the slippery bottoms. Their advice was to purchase a gripper so it would help prevent falls! Are you serious? For boots that retail at this price? Give me a break! Heavy and stiff in the ankles as well. Very disappointed in this product and the lack of help from the Sorel company. Even asked for a refund - what a joke!

Really cute boot, however, I got a blister from not ordering the correct size I think. They rub the back of the heel pretty good and tough to walk in.

These shoes were unfortunately very uncomfortable for me. They felt a whole size too large and were very stiff. I wore them once and developed open sores around my ankles where the base of the suede rubbed my skin. I love the way they look, though. Too bad I can't wear them any more.

I read all the reviews for these boots before I ordered, and I took note of all the comments that they run a full size large. I ordered an 8 when I usually take a 8 1/2 - 9. These boots were too small. I would order your normal size. They were also very stiff and very heavy. Not comfortable at all. I retured them the same day.

Fit nice, but I wore them once outside during this very cold winter weather and my toes got cold - I assume because of the rubber waterproof shoe part; that the rubber got cold and transferred that cold to my toes.

The heel rubs really bad. I'm returning them. Sucks because they are so cute, but not worth the pain for this price.

Very cute boot, but not a good fit for my foot. I am a 7.5, ordered an 8 and it was way too big. No half sizes are offered, so I exchanged for a size 7. Size 7 still did not solve the problem. The amount of space between the top of the boot and my foot is too deep. Too short of a toe box maybe? My heel raised up when walking even in a size 7. A size 6 would have been too short length.

I'm taking three stars off overall because these boots were made by humans in China for slave wages. Would have had a perfect review if Sorel were still manufacturing in Canada.

Boot is very stylish and I wanted to love it. The only problem was that the boot was too stiff around the ankle and bent in. It was bothering my ankle and had I continued to wear them, my ankle would have bruised. I ended up returning them.

I love these boots... they are for big snow... totally warm, whatever bulk there is to the toe box area is offset by the nicely tapered ankle. They are rugged while at the same time stylish. I recommend them for anyone who needs to deal with cold and snow.

These boots are really cute and really warm. Unfortunately, the ankle doesn\'t flex well, causing the back of the boot to rub into my Achilles tendon. They actually rubbed my skin off after walking about half a mile! Also, it feels sort of like you are wearing ski boots because they are so inflexible. I read that many other people have had this problem too.

I've been on a boot search for over a month and really wanted these to work, but they are very uncomfortable. I mean downright painful. The back of the boot where the rubber is attached to the leather is angled in way too much so it completely rubs against your Achilles tendon/back of ankle. I tried everything to get these to work and even ordered another pair thinking this must be a flaw with my particular boots, but the 2nd pair did the same thing. I ended up going with the Sorel Alpha Pacs which are incredibly comfortable, warmer and have much better traction. They are not as fashionable as the Joan of Arctics, which is the one downside, but when you are out playing in the snow you usually have snowpants on anyway. Zappos is a fantastic company to work with and made this process so easy.

These boots look adorable (and got compliments), and they were also warm and waterproof as marketed, but they were extraordinarily unwearable. I walked around in them for only half an hour to forty-five minutes before I had a very painful sore on my Achilles heel. The back of the boot digs in at just that spot, at least on my feet. Sadly, I had to send them back. And that was after trying both size 8 and size 9 (I'm an 8.5).

I read so many reviews complaining about the fit, but I really liked the way they looked. Needless to say, I had to return them. The fit is weird. I have big wide feet and these boots still run very big. Also, the fit at the ankle is terrible. I really wished they had a better fit because i love the look of the boot.

I began admiring these boots last winter and finally ordered some. Very cute. Easy to put on. However, they feel and look very wide. When I look down at my feet, they look like firemen boots; and they slip horribly on my heel. The sole has no cushioning, whatsoever! Feels like I'm standing barefoot on concrete. They do seem warm and cozy and look cute in the mirror. But these babies are going back, and I'm getting some more Uggs.
