I love these boots! I bought them last fall, and although we did not have a true MN winter to test them in, I did get to wear them a bit and love them. They are a real snow boot, and are still cute enough to wear around town. I wear a 12 shoe size, and ordered them in a 12 since that is the largest size available. I would say they are pretty true to size. I can still fit in a heavy sock for added warmth if need be. They are definitely not petite and you will know you have them on. They are not extraordinarily heavy or hard to walk in, but bear in mind they are snow boots. That being said, for a nice warm snow boot they are still cute and trendy. I am very satisfied with my purchase!

I found this to be a very stylish, warm, and comfortable boot. I usually wear size 6.5/7, and I ordered 7 which was perfect--not too loose, but roomy enough to wear with thick socks if I want. I've enjoyed testing the boots rain puddles and snow, and I haven't had them leak once. Great buy!

These are great boots! I love the neutral colors, the black on the boot is more of a charcoal color. They are great for standing around on the snow while my boys are in ski lessons. They are very comfortable with a splash of style. I am so glad that I bought them. I normally wear an 8½ but after reviews bought the 8 and they are perfect with SmartWool socks.

I've had a pair of regular Sorels for years and bought these to replace my worn out boots. I ordered these in anticipation of a big snow storm and they were on my doorstep the next day! They took a little more work to break in because the shaft is so much taller. I did a lot of walking in mine and I had the laces too tight at first, but overall they are very warm and cozy. Love em! Expect them to be a little roomy to allow for heavy socks, besides that they fit perfectly.

The Joan of Arctic is a fantastic snow boot. The only disappointment I've had with this boot is the lack of snow to ware them in, but luckily they are cute enough to just wear as normal boots on cold days unlike any snow boots I've had before, and they really keep your feet warm and cozy. However, they were a bit hard to walk in at first as they didn't want to bend, but the more I have worn them the better it's gotten.

Very cute and comfortable rugged looking boot. I tried them on and they are very warm. I do wear a 7.5 and ordered a 7 and they fit perfectly. I can see where people saw the boot is stiff at the ankle, I have narrow ankles and calves and didn't have this problem, the boot might be stiff if you have thicker ankles and calves.

Love these boots! I highly recommend them as winter boots, they are comfortable, warm, and I love the blue/orange color combo. A few things you should know. 1. They need to be broken in, so plan on wearing them a few hours at a time for the first few wearings. 2. They look big, but are true to size since there is a liner.

This boot is incredible! Super warm and very comfortable. I would recommend wearing taller socks (not ankle cut ones) to avoid rubbing at a structurally stiff part of the boot. Five thousand stars for this boot - my favorite winter boot ever!

These boots are so adorable! I live in Arizona so there is rarely an occasion to wear them, but I will have them on at the first sign of a cold, wet day.

I want it to snow! These feel amazing. They're not heavy at all like other boots and feel fairly sturdy. The sole seems a little thin, but these are walking boots after all. I am so excited for winter in Flagstaff, these boots will keep me warm I'm sure of it.

These are beautiful, heavy duty winter weather boots. They are heavy and stiff. Built for snow, slush and ice. Not boots that I would wear every day. I am hoping that they soften up a bit. I love the lining and fur. So cozy. very comfortable. Main thing that I want to say is that if you have high arches, do not size down. I wear a 7, and decided to order a 7. I am so glad that I did. Any smaller, and I would not have been able to get these on. It is a little struggle, but once they are on, they are fine. If I had ordered up, they would have slipped up and down at the heel. I feel I got my best fit ordering true to size. I also have thick calves, and these work fine for me. Going to wear them around a little to break them in, but confident these will be great boots for any weather winter throws at me.

I absolutely love these boots. The color is true and they fit well even with thick socks. They are a bit heavy, but I think that will be just fine in the elements. I have not used them in the snow yet, but I look forward to doing so. I am fortunate that they came in a 12M. The customer service is genuinely great. The woman I spoke with during the order was down to earth and honest sounding, unlike some places where their customer service representatives are totally fake and you feel creeped out when you hang up. Zappos is one of the few bona fide retailers that I feel good about doing business with.

I really wanted this boot to work. I loved the weight of the sued upper, it was soft, supple and yet substantial. The faux fur at the top of the shaft is soft rather than the scratchy plastic you find on so many boots. While this is not a beautiful boot, it is cute in it's funky utilitarian style. I even thought the lace up style would work since the laces slide easily along the loops it threads through. So the problem was the transition between the shoe and the shaft - it is a bottleneck. The Shaft is generous but it narrows to a ridiculous degree right about the shoe. Examining the boot - bending it and looking over the structure, it appears that the shoe of the boot reasonably sized, like the shaft, but there is this narrow tight rigid banding between the two. Ouch. Just can't do it.

I was so excited to get these boots and when I opened the box I was so sad to learn they are MADE IN CHINA. I'm just so tired of everything being made in China, that these are going back! I realize that they are listed as imported, but I guess I assumed this meant Canada (as Sorel is a Canadian company). This is not a fault of Zappos (I love Zappos) but would much rather support a USA or Canadian boot company where the boots are actually crafted there. I am also a bit worried that the faux fur at the top of this boot is not actually faux. I am familiar with the China fur trade and what they really use and so for this reason, this faux fur lining concerns me. Dissapointed Sorel...will be writing them as well. We all need to do a better job supporting made in the USA and this is a start.

I am so glad that I bought them. They are a great boot to have. They are nice to wear and I love boots so I just may buy another pair. So if you want a boot, these are it. Of course I love fur. So buy a pair.

I found that the boot fit as expected (I'm an 8, the boot fit as an 8). The boot is comfortable and gets more comfortable as you wear it.

I just got these today and in time for the first downpour! They were true to size, gave a little extra room for a nice pair of socks and were super stylish. I had two compliments within the first 10 minutes that they were on! Thank you, Zappos, as always for quick service!

I bought an 8 which is my regular size. They run true to size. Not only good for snow (which has been minimum this winter) they are also very sporty chic. I wore them the first weekend I had them to a party with a dressy blouse, blazer, and blue jeans.

These are serious cold weather, snow boots! They're a little bit heavy, but it seems necessary for such a heavy duty boot. I think they're true to size; they initially feel big, yet the length is right on. They feel roomy with a regular sock; I'll wear mine with a heavier sock. Aside from that, they're comfortable, and soooooo cute--in a rugged, outdoorsy way! I would wear these as a fashion statement, even if the weather isn't so bad!

Love the boots, but I have to disagree with some other reviews regarding size. I am a true size 8 and order an 8 based upon reviews that said these boots don't run small like a lot of Sorels. However, my toe was at the very end of the size 8...had to exchange for a 9.

Love my new Sorels! I have been wearing Sorels for decades before they were 'cool'. Super warm and waterproof, the felt liner pulls out easily to dry out and keep the inside smelling clean and fresh! Woo woo! Totally worth the investment, and they will last a good long time. Love the faux fur on the liner, and the new color combos...so stylish. I purchased my regular shoe size and they fit great! Zappos has free (fast) shipping and returns, so buying from them is a no-brainer! Bring on the snow!

The boots are great. So comfortable and warm and I love the way they look. No more cold tootsies in the Colorado mountains. Also, easy to put on.

These boots are very warm and very comfortable. I just moved to Sun Valley Idaho. They are perfect for everything. The laces are fantastic.
