Great boots! They come to the perfect height for deep snowfalls. My only complaint is that the toe area is not super-insulated. If you stand in the snow for 10 minutes or more, your toes will get cold. The key is to wear the warmest socks, and keep moving. I love that they lace up in the calf, because I have large calves.

These are serious boots. To start off the boots are really good looking boots. They keep the snow and rain out, they keep the heat in. Walking in these boots is different than other boots I have had in the past. They are much stiffer in the ankles and the shaft of the boot. Ankles don't flex naturally. Now it is not bad, just different. Some reviews state that they absolutely hate them. I will adjust to the boot because I hate cold,wet feet. Lastly the foot portion of the boot is not as streamline as you would think, it is bulkier just like the less fashionable waterproof boots out there. If you want functional fashion this is your boot.

LOVE THESE BOOTS! I needed something that would keep my feet warm but not be too large and heavy - these are perfect. Tailgated at a football game for hours in 20 degree temps and my feet were still warm. I don't have issues driving in these boots, as some others had mentioned. I wear an 8 - 8.5 and ordered a 9 to allow room for thicker socks. Perfect.

Love this boot! looks great on and very warm. I wear a 9 to 9 1/2 for most of my regular shoes, and after reading all the other reviews I order a 9 this for the boot. I find there is plenty of room and to be comfortable if I wear a stocking or thicker ski sock. After shopping around I found Zappos had the best price and they shipped on time during the busiest holiday time!

I love these boots! They are stylish (I get a lot of compliments every time I wear them) and warm. I wear Smart Wool/Wigwam socks in them and my feet are always cozy. I even wore them to work one day during a snowstorm here in Maine, and for the 4 hours I was inside, my feet never got overheated. Originally, I ordered a size 9, as that is my normal shoe size, but I had to exchange them for a size 10 because there was no room for thicker socks. Ever since I was a child, I've worn Sorel boots through Maine winters and I've always loved them!

Great boot! I live in Aspen, CO and I needed a good pair of winter boots and I think I finally found them. I was tired of Uggs, they are not really winter boots. I ordered my size (7) and they fit great, the first time I tried them it seemed a little tight but that only lasted until I broke them in. Also not a good idea to wear all day...above my ankle gets sore if I do. As good as this boot is you still need good winter socks...my feet are always cold!

First let me say I have the Sorel "Caribou" that is about 12yrs old and I wear them to walk the dog, shovel or snow blow the driveway. They are warm and provide good traction in the snow and on the ice. I saw the Joan II on sale and wanted a warm boot to wear for work. I wore them today (17 degrees) with a sweater dress and tights. So cute. Were they the most comfortable today? No, but I believe they will break in and be more comfortable. They were warm and great for walking in the snow and slush to and from different buildings. My shoe size range from 7.5-9 depending. My Caribou's are an 8,but I wear a thick sock with them. I ordered a 7 and 8 in the Joan and returned the 8 because I will be wearing these with tights or a thinner sock. Also, I just tie both of my Sorels so I can slip them on and off without untying.

I have purchased every color of these Sorel Joan of Artic II Boots and simply love them! I wear a size 8-8 1/2 and ordered a size 8 in this style of Sorel! They fit wonderfully and are so stylish! I wear them with black leggings and am stopped by people constantly telling me how much they love the look! I always tell them thanks and that they should buy Sorel's also!

These run quite large. Good for adding socks though. I wear a 41 or 42 in Europe and a 9.5 or 10 in the US depending on brand. These are marked at a US 10 and the European size is listed on the shoe is 42.5. Unless you need to add big socks I would order down at least half a size. Otherwise they look great and are very warm and comfy!

Great boots. They are waterproof like the sole says and very warm. They also look nice. The only downside with these is that I have to unlace the boots to get them on again and then relace them again once they're on. Even so, they're very comfortable even with my slightly large ankles and calves.

These are amazing boots! Super warm & comfortable (of course, they are Sorels) but best of all...they are cute! My daughter wears them to the ski slopes and with her skinny jeans in snowy days at home. They are taller than my Sorels and the fur on top is a fun touch. She gets compliments every time she wears them. Cute, warm, comfortable...what is not to love?!

These boots are comfortable, roasty toasty warm, and easy to get on and off. Be careful, they run a full size big (I wear a 7 and the 6 fits perfectly). Great for any calf width. I have wide calves and the laces help it adjust to fit just right. The rubber lower keeps the boots from getting dingy from snow, rain, etc. Highly recommended for any of your winter adventures!

I bought these boots for the trust in the name and they looked more girly than some winter boots that are actually going to be used for outdoor events. They have met my expectations, they keep me warm, were true to size and still have a little feminine appeal.

I LOVE these boots!! They're stylish and very warm. Great traction in icy conditions. Just know that they are a heavy boot, they are not UGG light. I'm a size 9 and that's what I ordered. They fit great with room to wiggle. Easy to slip on and off too. LOVE THEM!

I have these boots in Black, and they are awesome! I ordered a size 10 based on other reviews that they run large (usually wear an 11) and the 10s fit perfect, even with socks. The fur at the top adds some style to it. They are very easy to get on and off. I can't wait for it to snow so I can rock these!

I live in Colorado and my son plays ice hockey. So I go from cold to more cold. I am always freezing. I have tried Uggs and plastic bags with toe warmers with little warmth. Since I have had these boots I have not once been cold. As a matter of fact I usually just wear a sweatshirt because I am so warm. And talk about comfortable. I love these boots!

These exceeded my expectations. I have narrow feet and read that Joan of Arctic run wide, but a little extra width isn't a problem. I usually wear 9 or 9.5 and got these in 9. I wore them during a Park City Christmas vacation and was able to walk through snow with ease. They kept me warm and dry! I also noticed many Park City locals wearing Sorels, the popular snow-climate casual boot!

Fits great, warm and very very cute! I like the waterproofing that stops the slushy snow from getting to my socks!

This boot is almost two sizes too big! Awesome comfort though. I just need to order the 7, maybe even the 6, instead of the 8.

I read a bunch of reviews and had originally ordered an 8 (before reading reviews)...I wear a true 8 in pretty much all brands and styles of shoes. The 8 in the Joan of Artic fit too snug an my toes felt bunched up although they were plenty wide (which I did not need) anyway ended up with a 9 (wish they came in half sizes) and have to wear a pretty thick sock and lace them pretty tight but love the way they look and the warmth is unbelievable since my feet are always cold. I haven't worn them much but feel like the shaft will soften up with time and be more comfortable. I drove in them one time and they seemed a little stiff and bulky....I would not recomend driving in them if you don't have to or at least for not a long distance. Hoping for more snow so I can give them a true test. So far with 10-12 degrees and minus wind chill...they get a thumbs up!

The were delivered quickly. They were a gift, but the wearer said they were warm and they live in a very cold area.
