This boot is perfect for in the summer when you don\'t want to keep your legs too warm. The color is great too.

This boot is very cute, definitely with western cowgirl feel. I ordered my regular shoe size 9.5, but found the toe box a bit tight on one foot. The heels slip a bit but after some research, I understand this is normal for cowboy boots. It was quite late at night, and I called Zappos customer service to see if I should order a half size up. The customer service rep was extremely helpful. She offered to ship me the size 10 without charging me for a second pair as long as I return one pair within 14 days. This is a great service and I appreciate Zappos for offering it. I got the second pair (size 10) a day later. The size 10 works better for me without squishing my toes. Heels still slip, but actually not as much! Meanwhile I also had the Carson short arriving the same day. After trying both the Billy and the Carson, I realized I am more comfortable with rounded toe shoes. The pointy toe of the Billy is great if you don't have big toes like mine. Both boots are awesome, but I ended up keeping the Carson and returning the Billys (purely a style decision). In case you are deciding between the two, they both look cute once you find the right fit. Billy is definitely western, so you need to like the look. Carson is more urban chic, and that's probably what I'm more used to. Carson runs true to size or even large on some people, so no need to go bigger. I ordered the 9.5 with plenty of room for my toes and socks. Leather is softer on the Carson, so may stretch more. Time will tell!

Love these boots! They are so comfortable and they look great with your favorite concert outfit!

I wear a size 7.5 in most shoes, but in all Frye\'s I seem to wear a 7. These are still a little big in the heal, but the toe is narrower then the Carson boots I have. If you have a narrow heel, then they may run big and have a little slip, but fit properly at your toes. If you have really wide toes, then the pointed style of the shoe might be uncomfortable. They are quite comfortable if they fit right and they look amazing with skinny jeans!

The boots are so much more comfortable than my other Frye boots and super cute. I was a little ocncerned about ordering gray, but the color is more of a taupey gray and goes with everything. Super cute and very comfortable. I wish I had them in every color!

Ok, I was a bit wary due to the many comments on fit not being right in this particular style. I was planning to give these but ended up giving them to myself! I just love them. They are a little roomy with a thin sock but I think that's a good thing. Love the fit, comfort, and style! I bought the cognac and it's a perfect, burnished shade of cognac that will work with everything I wear. No breaking in was needed. And customer service was wonderful since I ordered these over the phone. I'm so thrilled, and know I will wear these often. These are a winner!

These are beautiful boots, but I am an 8 to 8 1/2, I ordered the 8 1/2 and could not get either foot into them. I am not even sure if ordering the 9 would make much of a difference. Too bad, they are really nice boots. And of course Zappos is the best.

I usually wear a size 8, sometimes 8 1/2. I ordered these in 8 1/2 and I can't tell if they feel good on your feet because I cannot get them on at all! Too bad because they are just beautiful, but they are going back today. So sad!

Zappos, you rock! I have never seen such fast shipping. Love these boots but order 1/2 size up or you won't be able to get your foot in them. Leather is soft and pliable. Perfect for my needs. Love you Zappos. (:

First I must say Zappos customer service is spectacular! I wear a size 8 but when buying boots I thought to buy a half size down in case they stretch a bit. Well when I received the size 7 1/2 they wouldn't go on my foot. I called Zappos the same day the shoes were delivered and they overnighted me a size 8 without having returned the 7 1/2 first. All Zappos asked was that I return the 7 1/2 within 14 days. WOW! I will pick Zappos over any other online retailer out there. And the boots... too cool. Just order true to size. And after a day of getting used to them, they feel great on your foot!

These boots are amazing! They’re more beautiful than the photos. The redwood color is a rich reddish brown. I ordered the size 7. I have wide feet and was a bit worried that they would be too narrow. They actually fit a tiny bit big but I think ordering a 6 1/2 would be too small. I’m definitely keeping these!

I read reviews suggesting to size up a half size but that particular size was sold out so I ended up ordering my actual size 7. It fit true to size. Love the black billy boot which matches all black, brown and blue jeans. These boots are great with skinny jeans, boot cut jeans, leggings, dresses and shorts. They are real leather and the distressed look is cool. I was worried about putting my foot in the boot and taking it out. But not a problem and I hope it just gets easier as I wear them. Highly recommended.

Based on the other reviews, I ordered a half size up and the fit is perfect. Love the red color. Really comfortable.

I love the look of the Frye Billy Short but they just did not fit perfect for me. I've tried a half-size up (9) and that was actually too big. I run between 8-8 1/2 in Frye and 8 1/2 would have been my choice Billy. My opinion is that if you are BETWEEN sizes, size UP, but I think it might be less than a half-size up. It is a narrower/pointy toe box which has awesome look, but just not the room my toes need. If I would have kept them I think I would have loved them. But also noting that the bottom is smooth (not rubber like the Harness 8R) I made my final decision to go with the Harness 8R--An equally awesome look but a little more versatile with the rubber sole.

When I first ordered these I went w/the folks who said to order up a half size. Big mistake! I now hv my usual size 7, & when I put these boots on they fit like they were made to order. Color is the burnt red & it is delicious!

This boot has quite a few negative reviews for running small so I considered going a half size up because of the comments, but in the end I decided to risk ordering my normal size. The boots fit perfectly and I had absolutely no issues getting them on. I got the Black Full Grain Brush Off color so maybe other colors/types of leathers fit differently. I love that they are distressed and have an "edgy rock star" shape without any stitching on the toe. I'm taking a star off for comfort because I could feel a bumpy ridge rubbing on the bottom of my right foot after wearing them for several hours. They are slightly less comfortable than some other Frye boots I own and less comfortable than Dan Post boots on first wear. I think they'll be great after a little breaking in.

I have pure size 7 UK and was very concerned what should I choose according US size chart. I checked Frye's website, they have 7 UK to 9 US, but after reading all these reviews, I decided to take 9.5 US. Well, I have a little difficulty to put it on, but inside size 9.5 runs wide. Therefore, these boots runs true to the original Frye's size chart, they definitely not suitable for women with a High Medial Arch...how to check put your foot into a ballerina's position (heel up - toes down) and measure with a tape measure around your heel and the Medial Arch...if it much more then 12 inches or 30 sm, you would have a great difficulty to put on these boots of any size, because Billy boots have a standard product measurement for all sizes. About me, I have decided to keep my wide boots and I am going to wear them with a medium thickness sock, which for an autumn season is alright

I bought the Smoke Old Town/Navajo in a size 7. I am a 6.5 typically and I am happy that I got a half size up they would have been too tight in a 6.5. These boots look so cute and are beyond comfortable. I can wear them all day walking and they are great!

Beautiful boots. They are true to size. I ordered a six and it fit like any of my other size 6 shoes. Some reviews have stated they are difficult to get on. I personally haven't had any trouble. They slip on fairly easily and slip off easily for me.

I love this boot! I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 and tend to have a narrow heel. I got the 8.5 and it fit perfectly. I ordered the taupe, but had second thoughts after reading the great reviews about the grey boot. I wanted something a little more brown that would still go with black. The taupe is perfect. I love the color and I would say that it's true to the photo. I was worried that it may be too obviously "two-toned", but it wasn't at all. I took them on vacation the day after they arrived and I walked around all day in them. I found them to be very comfortable. I have no problem slipping them on and off. Keep in mind these are cowboy boots. If you are looking for great arch support, you may want to consider another style or just put inserts in them. It's a great boot - very attractive and great quality. I highly recommend these boots!

Fabulous boot. Wish I had ordered a 1/2 size bigger. Cannot wait to wear with skinny jeans and skirts.

These boots are so cute. They are tough to get on at first. I use a plastic bag on my heel to help. Once on, they feel great.
