I love this boot! I am not a 'western' girl but these boots give an unexpected edge to a cute outfit that is awesome. I wear them with boot cut jeans or with my slim jeans tucked in, either way super-cute. Plus, they are so comfortable to walk in but give you a little boost in height. They get more comfortable every time I wear them. The leather is incredible quality and has ruined me for cheaper brands. I got the charcoal grey that works well with browns and blacks. I wear a 9 to 9.5, ordered the 9.5 to wear with socks. Fit is great!

I found these boots run true to size. They are very comfortable even for the first time wearing them. I was worried after reading all the reviews about people not being able to get their foot into them but I had no trouble at all. They are super cute and sexy with jeans. I wish they had them in black in my size. I will keep searching until I find them.

Great quality, love the color. Comfortable fit, does narrow toward toes but still comfortable. Fits true to size.

Timeless boots! I love them. Yes all the things everyone else say are true. Get a 1/2 size bigger, it is almost impossible to get them on. The plastic bag trick works like a charm. If I could afford more of these boots, I would get them in every color.

I got these in a 9. I wear a 39N in Birkenstocks and 8.5 in most other brands but sometimes get a 9 for sock room or with slip-ons. I have thin ankles and did not find these difficult to get on beyond the first 2 times. Just point your toes and use the pull loops once your heel is positioned to slide into the heel cup. They're comfortable and don't pinch my toes at all. They look cute under bootcut jeans and I'd even wear them with a mid-weight marled wool or cotton sock with shorts and could make them work with an above-the-knee skirt. My only surprise was that they were made in Mexico and not the US.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. These boots are fantastic. My wide-ish feet are a bit pinched in the toe, but that's a given in pointy-toed boots and I think the leather is stretching a bit too. These break in nicely; had a few blisters at first but they're buttery soft now. I love the look of these boots too. My only complaint is that they come pre-scuffed. One was actually more scuffed than the other, so they looked a bit mismatched, but with some wear and some love, they should even out in no time!

Fit about a half-size small because of the shape of the toe box. Otherwise beautiful boots, Frye quality through and through.

Very cute, comfortable. Haven't walked long distances in them yet. Still have difficulty slipping on and off and hope it gets better with more use. The heel is the perfect height. I tried the style with the higher heel and returned them...very uncomfortable. The color is not as brown as in the picture.

Love these boots. They were exactly as I pictured they would be, if not better. I'm not necessarily a country girl but I love cowboy boots, and these boots are perfect. I don't think I'll ever wear them with a dress or outside of jeans, but you anyone can see how great they are under jeans. I have received many compliments about them, and one in particular from a man who wanted to know where I got them! They are petite and sexy and I love them. I didn't have any trouble with them being too big or too small, but I was worried about that based on so many other reviews. Also this color is great!

So very comfortable. Great style. Wear with pants, long skirts, shorter skirts. Bought them in black and brown.

I'm very happy with color of the boots, I bought the Charcoal. Kind of gray-taupe. They are made to look scuffed up a bit. The boots are great overall, I have no complaints.

I cannot imagine a store anywhere with the variety of Zappos. I had seen this boot in a store in a color I didn't want and tried it on in an 8. When I ordered it from Zappos in the same size it was small in length and I could not fit it over my instep. A return and resend in a half-size larger made for a perfect fit. Wonderful color and texture and, as everybody says, a Frye boot makes your step a little more confident -- it's that undeniable swagger.

I have searched and searched for the perfect boot. I have ordered and returned so many I've lost count. Thank goodness for Zappos and their amazing customer service. This boot is perfect. My search is finally over. I received them a few days ago and have not taken them off. I've had no problems with breaking in or blisters; which I've dealt with other boots. I can't say enough good things about these boots. I love them. The only con is that they don't really go with skinny jeans, but to me that doesn't matter at all. I ordered my true size and they fit perfectly.

I really love these boots they are very comfortable and true to size. I wore them for the first time for 6 hours shopping and had no problems.

First of all, Zappos customer service is top notch, simply cannot be beat in any fashion or form. We have ordered from Zappos several times and the experience is always the same, wonderful. I ordered the Billy Short and the fit was perfect. I got the Billy Short in a 7 because of the pointed toe. I also have the Frye Harness and found the 6.5 fit in that, so I would say the Billy Short runs true to size and width. The only reason for my return is that I ordered the dark brown leather and the pair of boots I received are not the brown pictured as dark brown leather. Otherwise, the boot is excellent, very comfortable the first time out. The Billy Short is a very nice boot.

I had been looking for short boots, found these at Zappos, and read the reviews. The reviews really helped because I wanted the gray but liked that many of the reviewers mentioned it had a taupey-brown look. I received the boot, and they were right. I loved that it was gray but had enough brown to it to work with many different colors. The fit was comfortable and true to size and though having a thick enough sock helps the comfort level. I really love the look of these boots.

Looks great - smells good, if you like the smell of leather, and comfortable. A little hard to take off though probably no more than any boot with thick leather and no zipper.

These boots fit like a glove. I am normally a 7.5 but ordered an 8 so I can wear Smartwool socks for comfort and warmth. They fit perfectly with the socks. I had a hot spot on my little toe for the 1st day but after the 2nd day it was gone and the boots had stretched perfectly. I have a pair of Frye's I have had for 7 years and wear about 100 days per year. They are my favorites, and these are fast becoming faves, too. I will definitely be buying again from Zappos and will be a life-long Frye customer as well.

I received these boots on a Monday after ordering them on a Friday. I love them! I ordered the grey color. They look high quality but at the same time distressed. I ordered true to size. They were not hard for me to put on even though that was stated in a lot of the reviews. I do have narrow fit. I do have a concern about the boot. After walking around the house in them for awhile the tag on the inside of the boot started to rub against my feet. I read in another review where she had the same problem. I hope this will go away with a sock and wear. That's the only reason I did not give the boot 5 stars on comfort. Beside that, I absolutely adore the boot. Thanks again Zappos for your excellent customer service.

Just received these boots in the clay color. They are beautiful boots and look very well crafted. My normal shoe size is an 8 1/2, so that was the size I ordered. They were a bit difficult to get on, as I read in some other reviews, but once on felt fine. They are a bit tight across the toe area, which I'm hoping will stretch with wear. The heel slips quite a bit, though. Is it normal for the heel to slip like that? Or will the slipping go away eventually? They are nice looking boots and I am looking forward to the weather cooling so I can start wearing them.
