Love these boots. I ride and needed something comfortable. I love the way they look and they were comfortable from they very first time I wore them riding for a couple of hours. True to size.

So glad I ordered these! I have ancient paddock boots that are finally falling apart after 15+ years of use, but was really struggling to find a replacement. These are exactly what I needed! Ariat's English paddock boots have really declined in quality, but these Western ones are fantastic. Softer leather, nicer looking, and great arch support. The soles are more rigid than Ariat's English paddock boots and also have more traction. There's a little less of a heel on these than on their English boots, which I think makes them more comfortable. It's hard to see in the photo, but there's a loop on the back of these that makes it easier to pull them on. The front tassel thingy is removable for a more traditional English look. FYI, they do come in a distressed brown suede as well, although Zappos doesn't carry it.

I love the way they support my feet. They are very comfortable to where all day, even when I am waiting on tables. Love them this is my third pair!

Thrilled! Great fit and cute! (size down 1/2) I think these are intended to be western boots but I like them for what I'm going to be doing most for the next 6-8 months, which is riding green horses, dressage, cross country, trails, and occasional fox hunting, a lot of work to get ready for more fun next spring. The flap makes them a crossover for trails, not so strictly English type disciplines. The heel height is a bit lower than the other real "paddock" boots. I'm 5;9" and don't need any extra height. I don't find the lower heel to have any effect on my riding They have a more rugged feel. The leather is a bit softer, not like the other Heritage paddocks which gave me a blister the first 30 minutes I rode. Best of all the fit is a bit more narrow to fit my foot. I normally wear a 10 1/2 (can be hard to find) and have to settle for 11's, always too big. This fit me fine in the 10, perfectly comfortable to go out and ride several hours the first day. I'm sure they'll stretch because the leather is so soft, but I have some extra insoles ready for that, because I mostly love the fit! The flap is cute! Never been as happy with paddock boots.

I just received my boots and putting them on was like heaven. This is my third pair. I originally bought them for motorcycling, but wore them daily because they were so comfortable. I have a neuroma problem and if my left shoe does not work with this problem the shoes are useless. They last a long time but I usually have a newer pair to wear off the property. I used to work 12-16 hour days and these are the only shoes that could get me through the day. I can see why people would say they run a bit big, but I only wear a half size larger than I did when I was 25...I'm now 65. I tried to purchase this style locally, but could not find them so found them on Zappos and had them within a few days.

Exciting to find Ariat in a C width! Style, comfort and dependability your boots will be comfortable all day. I've depended on Ariat boots the last 20 years to get the work done. I bought this boot in both brown and black as they are very comfortable on or off the horse!!

If you have to walk on cobblestones and uneven sidewalks these are the thing. Put whatever insole you want in them. They look really great without the kiltie. Not for wide feet and maybe a size or more too long. I have pounded the pavement in these and my feet and ankles have no complaints.

I think these run very long and narrow-ish. I am a 9 1/2 in most everything but the 8 1/2 fit me here. If my foot was wider or thicker these would not have fit. The tongue is a soft suede and the fringe thingy comes off so they look like regular combat style boots. Really comfortable for walking and very supportive if you have ankles that like to collapse on city streets. If you need a wider boot go with the zip up style or visit the ariat website.

I have narrow, flat feet. From the moment I put on these boots they were so comfortable. I just bought my 3rd pair, my second brown pair. My first pair has lasted many years, but it was time for boots. Because of the narrow feet and ankles the laces are way to long, and the tongue on the boot keeps slipping to the outside (This did not happen with the black boots.) I had the shoe repair man tack the tongue to the inside of the boot to take care of the problem.

These boots are the best thing that I have gotten in a long time. They are so sturdy and comfortable and they look really cute, too.

I've worn nothing but Ariat's for the past 20 years. I like this boot style because you can ride w/ English or Western stirrups. This boot is strong and I get at least one year out of a pair (and I am hard on boots). The laces are cheapy though. I always have to replace them.

I live in these boots. They're comfortable, supportive and look good with blacks tights & dresses or jeans & sweaters. My current pair has lasted through 3 years of trekking a mile each way to/from work in the city, plus walking & biking everywhere else. I just ordered my third pair of Ariat Lacers. I have narrow feet and am usually an 8-8.5. In these boots, I am a 7.5 B. The leather is stiff at first, but worth it once you break them in.

Have had these for 1.5 years. They are more comfortable than some of my athletic shoes. Perfect heel height and cushioning support - great for aging cowgirls with aching backs. True to fit as well. The gore at the top makes it easy to walk fast without creating hotspots on the leg. If Ariat would make more of their styles available in a Wide (C) with this heel height I would have a closet full.

Have worn 1 pair of this boot for 6 years in all kinds of hunting and shooting circumstances. It is wonderfully comfortable, looks great and is very durable. I am buying my second pair. Thank you, Ariat!

Love the look, feel & quality. Have not worn them yet, however, I am an Ariat customer and have never had an issue. I usually order 1/2 size down as they run slightly big. I can't wait for Fall to officially begin so I can "show off" my new addition.

I got these boots about a year ago and the only damage they have are marks where my puppy chewed on them. In the summer I am at the barn everyday and so my boots go through a lot. I am super happy with my ariat boots

Too much boot for me. I want something that doesn't have such a heavy toe box. A little more dressy and stylish.
