I bought these boots last week and they feel great. I have narrow feet so the lacers allow be snug up the boot but its still a tab bit lose. Wish they would make them in narrows and I too would have a closet full of Ariats.

I have the Heritage III as well as these boots. The Heritage LacerII is more supportive than the III and has a more cushioned step. The leather is also a little thicker and the lace hardware is sturdier. Both boots are great -- I like the lace up version because barn dirt always gums up the zipper version. The purpose of the kilts is to keep dirt off the tongue of the shoe and it does seem to prevent dirt from getting into the boot. Half chaps, Ariat and other brands, fit fine over both boots. As the other reviewers have noted, this boot runs at least a half size large. I wear a 9.5 in the Heritage lacer III...but in this boot I ordered a 9 on the recommendation of other reviewers (thank you!) and I think I might have been able to get away with an 8.5. The B width seems a little narrower than standard B widths. I go through paddock boots like crazy so I have high hopes that these will hold up a little better than most! I look forward to seeing how they hold up after a year of hard use at the barn!

I was so hoping this boot would be a good replacement for my Ariat Lace up Paddock Boot which I loved and sadly for some reason no longer make. Now the only Paddock boot is a zip or elastic side. This boot is beautiful but very stiff and not good for my neuropathy feet. What a shame.I had to revert to my All Terrain boots which are no where near as beautiful but very comfortable for a variety of settings.

These boots look very nice, and fit well. I decided to return them because the sole is so narrow. I am concerned that after some time wearing them my feet will be rolling over the edges of the sole. I even tried ordering a second pair in wide hoping that would be better. Those have a narrow sole too. They made me think of high heels, pretty and comfortable at first. I need a pair of boots to work in on our farm. These absolutely have the look i want, but i didn't want to risk my money on a narrow sole

Unfortunately, these boots are not really a C and I had to return them. I measured the sole width and did the same for my old Ariat Heritage IV RT lace-ups that were a size B, and the old Bs were slightly wider! Very disappointed.

These are made in China. They look nice, but am not a fan of Made in China. They arrived damaged, and there was a red mark in the shoe box. Miss the original Ariat brand. Was looking for a comfortable lace up for country dancing and clogging. Too clunky for dancing. Okay for riding.

They look and feel awesome. Until I tried to put the boot on my foot. I read the reviews about it being narrow, but thought I should try anyways. Sadly, they are going back. I guess I'll have to look for a western boot to wear riding.

These are great boots. I highly recommend them. However, order a size or two down from your usual size.

Ugly cheap looking heel. Great style and fit. Yes, I agree, you will go down half a size. I always wear 8 or even 8.5 in shoes, but in Ariat, I am a 7.5. I have hard to fit wide feet, and would have no break in period in these boots. The leather upper is good enough quality; both chocolate and black look rich enough for boots at this price. But I cannot accept the poor cheap rubbery heel material. They even did horizontal stripes on the heel to make it look like a stacked leather heel. But it just looks crappy. If they put in a better looking heel, I definitely would have kept them. They are made in China - the heel is definitely a cut corner measure. Maybe I should look for a vintage version on Ebay. I tried on Ariat $200 and over boots: there, they use much nicer leather, and great heel material, made in Mexico which has a rich Western leather shoe tradition. Maybe this price only buys this level quality. As for heel support, it's moderate, and not anywhere near hiking boots-level. Leather is not stiff enough around the ankles if that's what you're looking for.

I was so excited to find brown boots in a wide. Very disappointed as the wide was very narrow. I really wish then they would make the round toe in brown as those fit like a wide and they are not.

Not a cute looking as in the picture and looks heavy, cheap and awkward, not classic. The leather is very thick and the top says "I'm going to rub all the skin off your legs all the way around." The soles do seem very functional if these had felt comfortable, I would have kept them even with the crude look, because I need functional boots. But I need comfortable ones too.

I tried these boots in the size I normally wear as well as a size down and neither was comfortable. They are very cute and I wish they would have worked out, but I couldn't imagine a long day at the stables in them. I ended up returning both and buying a pair of Justin boots instead.

I bought a pair of these lacers in the 90s that I wore straight out of the box that day and am still wearing. They are my favorites to ride in and I was wanting to replace them with a newer nicer looking pair. Well I normally wear a 7.5 AA shoe,,,,,I bought the 7.5B which is what my last few pair of Ariats are and they all fit. I could barely get the shoe on it was so tight right where the lacing starts and once I did get it on it was so tight across the top of my foot while at the same time I could tell my toe wasn't even close to the end of the boot. I also wasn't happy that the heel was a rubber material and the bottom sole was a very sticky type rubber material. They are being returned so guess I'll have to look to another brand for a good shoe to replace my favorite horseback riding shoes with. These boots for the price just looked too much like rubber from the soles to the sides........what happened to the good quality leather?

Did not like the look at all. Looked very cheaply made AND they are not made in America. Used to love these years ago but they're not like they used to be.

A different style in the same brand fit perfectly. Who knows. These were too long.
