These are great shoes for street trials. Most shoes I usually take size 9½ in these shoes I needed a 10. My feet are a little wider than average.

Love the shoe, but the W = Medium width was too narrow. I thought W in men's shoes meant WIDE.

I am not going to add much to what other reviews have stated. Instant game changer for me. I use these while riding pump tracks, dirt jumps and a little slope style. A must have for riders of gravity parks and BMX where clipless is not desired.

These fit true to size, have been putting a few miles on them and they work great. Just upgraded to Wellgo MG-1 platform pedals and couldn't ask for a better combination.

I wear a women's size 7, and I ordered size 5. They were too small, so I exchanged them. The 5.5 is perfect.

Bought these specifically for MTBing with flat pedals. Great shoe. Well built. Sticks like glue to the flat pedals.
I normally wear a 9.5 B width shoe so decided to go with the 9 and it fit perfect.

I am a woman who was looking for a mountain bike shoe. The women's Karver and Impact are hugely wide for me and I cannot wear them. These fit my narrow low volume feet much much much better. Trying to figure out which size to get in men's is a little tricky. I wear a ladies 7, initally ordered the 5.5 but a 6 seems correct.

These shoes kick it! The soles stick to peg pedals like industrial Velcro...gotta wear to believe! I wear a women's 9 and had to buy men's 7.5. I do wish they were a bit wider in the toe-box but I do have boxy feet there. They look great and are a great all-around shoe, highly recommended!

The fit seems a little on the small side at first but even though they are a "hard" sole shoe, they do appear to stretch into perfect advertised size. They are not running shoes so don't expect the same "walking on air" feeling. They are, however, quite comfortable, especially after a couple weeks break-in. I absolutely love these shoes and will definitely buy another pair. Traction, awesome! Style, awesome! Ability to take a beating, awesome! If your kid's sippy cup spills on them, they are easy to clean with a damp cloth.

I used them originally only for mountain biking exclusively, but they have gradually become my every day shoes as well because they have outlasted my Vans. I've probably done 150 miles in them on the bike and wear them to work daily. The soles and stitching has held up fantastically, I think (hope) that 5.10 has addressed the complaints of delaminating soles since the earlier reviews. A nice set of platform pedals and these shoes stick pretty well, with enough rigidness that the soles of my feet don't get sore on long standing downhills. The soles do wear differently than a typical shoe, as the rubber is really hard it's more prone to getting little cuts as opposed to wearing down the rubber. But they are so far very durable, I wish more shoes were built like this.

The best flat pedal shoe you can buy. Just the right sole firmness just the right sole polymer for grip. So good I'm buying a second pair right away just in case they go out of business. Lol just kidding (about the going out of business part).

I recently got a new mountain bike and decided to use flats instead of clipless pedals, so I needed something other than hiking boots to ride with. These fit the bill perfectly. I'm amazed at how grippy they are on a good set of flats (w/ removable pins). Even just repositioning a foot requires purposely lifting the shoe off the pedal first. Plus, they're super comfy (I ordered a half-size larger than usual). The one thing that sucks is that now they're so dirty/dusty that I can't wear them out like I did before that first ride!

I'm an urban commuter who won't clip in for rides. The 5-10's are perfect for my needs, good feel for pedals and superior stiffness than sneakers. Not a wear-all-day shoe, but you can get around fine. Would prefer velcro over laces, but a great shoe. Very happy.

Love my new shoes. I normally wear a 8.5 in womens and bought the 7 mens and they fit perfect. Very sticky and awesome of the trails both XC and DH!

If you are riding platform pedals, these kicks are for you. You'll stick to the pedals through all the rough stuff and even hammer a little harder because of the stiff soles. Your feet will thank you after a long ride, as they are way stiffer than regular ol' skate shoes. They are cool even on hot days, and they don't feel bulky. Wins all around. I used to use trail running shoes, hikers, or skate shoes and these beat them flat out in every conceivable way. And they look pretty cool to boot. I gave them a 4 on comfort just because they are a little stiff for everyday wearing.

I've got my Five Ten because I do slack-line; this shoe has amazing hard support on the bottom and is comfortable for my jumping. The only thing I could have changed is about size. You may need to get one size up. My size 10 is kind of smaller.

Awesome riding shoe. Comfortable and the soles stick like crazy. The sole can leave marks but I only use them for riding so this isn't an issue for me. Only real downside that I have found is that they take a long time to dry but that's it.

Got these shoes because I was having issues with my feet slipping of the pedals periodically. I tried on a pair of Impacts but they just felt really bulky so I went with these and haven't regretted it. They are great when paired with my Shimano Saint pedals, no more slippage going on. The one and only downfall that I have found is that they seem to take a really long time to dry once they get wet. They got soaked on a ride two days ago and they are still not dry, although I'm sure if I had them sitting in front of an air vent or something they would be. Due to this I'm dropping one star on the overall, but aside from that they are near perfect. Would most definitely buy again.

These are killer shoes. The stealth soles are super grippy and, yes, quiet. Perfect size and extremely well made.

I just got these shoes last week to replace a pair of skate shoes that I used for BMX racing. It seems like every pair of shoes that I try kills my little toe when riding, but these shoes felt perfect right out of the box. I wore them to work for two days (fast paced, always moving, always standing) and forgot they were new shoes before my first lunch break. The real surprise was this past saturday at the track. I immediately felt more relaxed and in control because they just would not budge from my pinned flats. First moto, I had a bad gate because I could not get my foot straight in time! When people say these stick to pedals, they are not exaggerating. I even jacked my pedal in a berm which would normally kick your foot off a flat. I stayed glued in the entire time and won my first main this year. Thanks Five Ten for making shoes that not only look good (no loud colors or designs), but are entirely functional. I pray you make these shoes in kids sizes some day, I would put in my order tomorrow for two pairs for my kids. And yes, when they are clean, you can hear them sticking to wood flooring.

I ordered a pair of Freeriders and a pair of Impacts from Zappos. I placed the order Tuesday afternoon and the shipment arrived yesterday, early evening - great job, Zappos! As I normally wear an 8EE in athletic shoes/sneakers, I ordered both of these in 8½. Both fit very well, and I tried each for half an hour. I feel that the grip is the same (please keep in mind that ride a hybrid bike, on paved roads/paths or hard gravel, typically for 12-15 or 16 miles at a shot), but the Freerider is lighter and more compact if you will. As many reviewers have stated, I have never experienced such grip, especially with my Answer Rove pedals! I sent back the Impacts already and rode the Freeriders today, despite the heat, for over an hour. Wow, what a great decision and shoe! With the Freerider and platform pedals with pins combination, there is no reason to go clipless - just incredible!
