Clownish. Padding everywhere. The wide laces don’t really tighten well but do serve the “look” of the shoe. Tons of toe box room. The supporting sole is so wide I make a Squeak squeak on every pedal stroke so I had to shift my shoes out further on the pedals. Not the easiest thing to do. Not very much stiffness in the sole which is what I was after, no padding on the insole and with the wide toe box and useless laces my feet were a bit sore after the first ride. I was better off with my old Vans than wasting my money on these.

I initially ordered a half size up from my normal size, found them to be too small. I returned them for the next half size up and they were still too small. The toe box is quite narrow and there really isn't any support in these shoes. The second pair is going back and I'm not going to try again with these. Too bad because visually, they're exactly what I was looking for!

I loved Adidas shoes, especially when they are on special sales. I've bought quite a lot and keep them.
However, the Five Ten Freerider shoes are way below my expectations. They are rough, thinly supported and apparent low quality.
They are not worth at the sale price, let alone at the original price which is more than double. Unfortunately, I have to return them.

I bought a pair of free riders years ago and they are great. Flexible and stick to the pedals like glue (Canfield Crampons). I recently bought a pair of Freeriders Pro, they are awful, a stiff shoe and the soles skate around the pins as if they aren't there, thinking the basic Freerider would be better, I bought this pair- big mistake, same problem. I have no confidence riding with these. I don't know what Adidas has done but I will not waste any more money on this product.

I have owned multiple pairs of these shoes, the newest ones are garbage compared to before. I guess the standards are lower with the new "recycled" material version. The pair I bought last year are way more premium, padding, material, quality.

I ordered these on March 7 and they still haven't arrived as of March 30. Customer service says they still haven't left the warehouse, and have nothing to say other than keep waiting.

For the last 10 years I have bought multiple pairs of these 510 MTB shoes. My foot size has not changed. But, I have ordered 4 back to back pairs of new 510 and non of them fit. Something in the manufacturing changed and they run really small and because I have a size 14, the next size up is way to large. So, I am done with this brand. I tried calling, emailing and using the chat feature. Couldn't get a live person. I give up. Trying a different brand now and it upsets me because I love these shoes for mountain bike riding.

The shoes arrived moldy so I returned them and am still awaiting the replacement. Luckily, customer service was helpful but the fact that the warehouse doesn't appear to do quality control before shipping things out is inconveniencing and disappointing

There seems to have been a general cheapening of materials and manufacturing since Adidas bought out 5:10 from the original owners. I've had 8 pairs of these in the past and haven't really worn anything else. But, since the changes made by Adidas, I won't be buying any more and am returning these for a refund. Massive, massive disappointment.

Really wide. I usually wear B Narrow width, but can make do with Medium. This shoe however, is really WIDE. Sending it back - I wish there had been a warning.
