This is a great casual shoe. Well, it\'s been quite some time since I bought shoes (when Eccos were still made in Europe). I tried several other manufacturers, but for my moderately wide feet and plantar fascitis, this is a great shoe. It is super comfortable and takes my orthotics perfectly. I can walk and stand in these all day without foot or back pain. The euro style is modern and up-to-date. I actually bought 3 other styles of Mephistos because of the comfort of this one. Mephisto may be an expensive shoe, but I\'m convinced that it is worth every penny for the comfort and style. And, of course, Zappos was great as I kept trying shoes until I found the right ones. Thanks Zappos. Highly recommend shoes and Zappos.

Mephisto shoes are always amazingly comfortable, but often not so stylish. This shoe is both, and the rich leather is very high quality. I am on my feet all day, so comfort and support are very important to me. My only qualm is that this shoe has a thinner, more flexible sole than previous Mephisto shoes I have purchased. But it looks even better in person than the picture.

Most comfortable slip on ever! Sizes are accurate and perfect for casual or dress! I love Mephisto's and this is one of their best!

Great comfort right out of the box. I have wide feet and typically wear a 9.5 or 10W. So I ordered a 10.5 thinking the leather will give a bit. Shoe fit great. Looks great with light jeans or shorts. Would recommend.

I bought this shoe in dark brown after wearing the black shoes for 2 weeks. They are VERY comfortable. My only minor issue is that I was hoping the 'dark brown' was going to be a little bit darker. I'd call it 'brown' rather than dark brown. Nothing that a shoe shine can help darken up though.

I just got these shoes for a trip to Europe. Will report back - but so far - I love these shoes. I tried a pair of Ferragamo loafers and these were as comfortable. Felt like slipping my feet into a lovely pair of gloves more than putting on shoes. They are far dressier looking than the picture. Perfect for jeans or slacks. Obviously not for suits.

These shoes are a little expensive but they look good and they are really comfortable. They are very light too and the sole is soft so you can feel some bumps on the ground through the sole. They are perfect for traveling because you can slip them on and off in a second for airport security but they also look good enough to wear to a meeting.

OMG! Mephisto shoes were always comfortable, but lacked the style I prefer, until I found the Edlef. Glove leather soft and I actually feel the cushiness of the shoe as I walk! Plus, I think this is a great looking shoe. Bottom line - I got 'em in black and brown!

These shoes are extremely comfortable. I own several pairs of Mephisto shoes and they all feel as comfortable as house slippers...right out of the box. Product quality in all cases is excellent. I highly recommend these shoes.

I have been very happy with this shoe. I wear Mephisto regularly and this was the first slip-on shoe that I've found both comfortable and doesn't result in my foot sliding. They really feel like slippers - I'm afraid I may wear them so much that I'll need new ones faster than I would like!

Very comfortable and stylish shoe. Have narrow heels and need arch support. Mephisto always delivers on arch support and comfort. Often casual shoes that are this soft will have a tendency to slip off at the heel. Was pleasantly surprised these do not slip.

I have several Mephistos. These are among the most comfortable. They wear well. I especially love the Sam sandals and the Hurrikans; you can wear them all day, every day. All my shoes are size 41 (Mephisto, Ecco). My US size is 7.5 (even 8 in chuka) but the Mephisto sizing 6.5 EUR/7 US is the right fit. There was no change in the Edlef from my Hurrikans. This shoe is very light and flexible. The Hurrikan has a thicker sole, and as someone pointed out, you can feel a bit more of what is under your feet with the Edlef. No big deal unless you're walking on gravel or a concrete floor all day. I've been looking for a 'traveler' and these are perfect. The elastic gives a comfortable snug fit that is not too tight and relaxes with your foot. They look great, too, casual, but dress them up for a meeting. Highly recommended if you're looking for a nice-looking, versatile and comfortable shoe.

Like the others, I agree that these are super comfortable. The feel lighter than free running shoes, as light maybe as the track shoes I used to sprint in. They are a marvel, and look very nice. I feel like I can wear them with a suit, or with nice jeans, very versatile.

I wanted to love these shoes because I think they are sharp and should be comfortable. For me, the toe box was much too tight. Size 10 crunched the spread of my toes and size 10 1/2 was too big.

Just a beautiful shoe, but husband says his right heel slips out when he walks and another size down would be too tight.
