These Merrells are fantastic. I bought 2 pairs of them, white and brown. This is the first time I have worn the thong and it is not a problem at all.

Wonderful sandal! Trendy look, comfortable. Dress up or dress down. Waterproof, although if soaked with water, color will bleed.

I have flat feet and need support in a sandal and Merrell sandals always come through. This is thong is both stylish and comfortable and I\'d wear it shopping at the market or out to dinner.

I have these Merrell's in the light tan color and the black. These are extremely comfortable sandals. The footbed gives you great arch support. I have a high arch but my foot is very wide (DD) and these sandals work for me due to the open construction in the regular width and I don't have to go up a size to accommodate the width of my foot. The leather is very supple. The great thing about Zappos is that the shipping is free both ways, so if they don't work for you - you can send them back at no cost to you.

So comfortable but doesn\'t look heavy. My second toe is quite long and the thong covers up a great deal of it so that makes me happy - happy and comfortable, what a great combo! This is my go-to black sandal. I can walk comfortably for many blocks in this shoe.

These sandals are so comfortable! I have 4 pair (2 black and 2 brown) and wear them nonstop. They have super support for a sandal. Buy them half a size bigger than normal. There is no break-in time. They feel great immediately. I hiked all over Europe in them.

Very comfortable walking sandal. I ordered several in different colors. The brown one is a little tight but as I wear it the fit is more comfortable.

I recently purchased 2 pairs of Merrell thongs from Zappos. This was my first Zappos purchase and I was so happy to find these shoes since I had not been able to find them in a store. The thongs are so comfortable and I have been wearing this style for several years and did want to change to a newer style.

I purchased this exact shoe 2 1/2 years ago and walked all over France in the shoes. They are so comfortable and give lots of arch support without being ugly. Sadly, that pair lost it oomph, but I purchased the exact shoe again this year. Why change a good thing.

I have 3 pairs of the Merrell Gardena thong sandals (black, pink, and neutral). They are absolutely the most comfortable sandals around! I wear them everywhere. They are my go to sandals for everyday. I have medium wide feet and the medium fits me just fine. Love my Merrell's!

These are fantasic support for my poor achy feet! Now, if I can figure out how to get the straps adjusted so my big toe isn\'t squished and the straps aren\'t cutting in - I\'ll love them! Anyone have any suggestions?

Very comfortable, yet stylish sandal. Walked a week in them, and my feet felt like they had been in gym shoes. Zappos sent them even quicker than I thought, so they arrived in plenty of time before vacation.

I recently purchased the Merrell Gardena Thong and I am so pleased with the quality of the shoe. The fit is right and almost eliminates the pain I have from two stress fractures in my upper foot. I went a half size up, and they fit perfectly. They are not as comfortable out-of-the-box as the other less dressy line of Merrell thongs. I had a bit of rubbing on the back side of both, but no blisters after four hours of walking and standing. They are great and a little more dressy than the others.

These are very comfortable. The hug the feet without being constrictive. I do not really like the styley flap and buckle detail, but I will overlook that because they fit so well. I wear them with tabi (split-toe sox) as winter house shoes.

I love Merrells and was excited to try these out. I wear an 8, occasionally an 8.5. The 8s were very snug for me. I wore them around the house and the straps were cutting into one foot. Arch support/footbed was very comfy. I'm trying a 9

Almost perfect. These sandals are really pretty and generally very comfortable. My one critique is that the placement of the thongs doesn't allow enough room in the footbed for my big toes, so my toes hang off the sides a bit. Not a dealbreaker, but I'm giving them 4 instead of 5 stars.

These sandals have a lot going for them but were not quite right for me. The foot-bed curvature did not match my feet; my big and little toes went off the sides slightly. I also found the stretch fabric insert across the arch a bit snug, even though my feet do not have a high arch; I kept wanting to slip the sandals off when sitting because the close fit bugged me. I do like the styling, except for the fabric, which would probably keep the fit from ever relaxing. The molded foot-beds and thick soles provide excellent support and cushioned walking.

I just ordered my 3rd pair of Merrell Gardena Thongs, my first 2 pairs being over 5 years old. The only reason I replaced my original tan pair was because the old innersole was lined with a nu-buck fabric in a light tan that was badly stained after 5 years of wear. I am happy to say that Merrell addressed that problem, and the new sandal has a different innersole, which looks like it would clean up much better. My 5 year old black pair still have some wear in them, look good, and will probably last another year or two. They do run about 1/2 size larger, and though the width was perfect when I first got them, they do stretch with time, though not enough to make them uncomfortable. They have great arch support for a thong sandal, the piece that fits between the toes is comfortable, and the fabric across the top of my foot is smooth, breathable and comfortable,and secures my foot well in the sandal. I am able to wear them for long periods of time without pain. I do have foot problems, and have had foot surgery, so I wouldn't be able to wear them for miles of walking, but that's more a fault of my feet and not the sandal. The sturdy sole makes them unsuitable for dressier clothes, but they look great with casual wear.
