Nice looking sandal and comfortable for normal days. However, they are not good for long days of 90+ temperatures and constant walking and standing. The straps left black marks on my feet and they stuck to my foot. It\'s not the fault of the shoe that my feet were swollen, but they became uncomfortable because of that, so if you have problems with swelling feet don\'t get these.

I have this shoe in black. It's cute and comfortable, though not for long walks or anything. It runs a little big and wide, so although I usually wear a 7, I have these in a 37 (which they say is a 6). For me it would be better if the shoe were narrower and had more arch support. These days the manufacturers seem to have widened the B width quite a bit! Too much! But I still like these shoes.

I wear a 9.5, have bunions, high arches, and otherwise narrow, bony feet. These shoes are nice looking, and they would work, I think, if the front straps were adjustable. The main front strap that goes over the front of my foot is too wide, and my feet slide forward to the point that my toes are hanging off the front of the footbed. At the same same, the smaller strap that goes over my toes pinches the little toe and is uncomfortable. These sandals might work fine for people with more normal feet.

I recently bought these to take to Hawaii for vacation. Because they were a last minute "find" I did not have time to break them in before shoving in my suitcase. The style and quality are great. The leather is flexible, but substantial. I put them on the day we arrived and walked long distances over varied terrain (lava rocks, sidewalks, beaches, etc.) with no complaints from my feet. Even my daughter and daughter-in-law thought they were cute! If there might be any criticism, it would be that they seem a tiny bit wide for my very medium width feet. However, when it is hot and your feet swell, that is a plus as they don't become uncomfortable. Overall, I would buy these again. The tan color is a nice neutral. Cute with shorts or maybe a casual skirt or sundress, but not appropriate for dressier outfits because of the sole.

Love these sandals! They are as light as air. No breakin period required. I usually wear a size 9 to 9 1/2 wide. After trying on several sizes I purchased the size 9. The lenght of the sandal is fine. The base of the sandal could be wider. The widest part of my foot slightly extends over the side edge of the base of the sandal, but the straps are designed so that there is no rubbing, no sore or tight points while they hold my foot secure. These are great sandals for casual warm weather wear.

Looks great, very comfy. As others have mentioned, it runs a little loose. If you are a half-size, definitely size down. I normally wear a 7 1/2 or 8, and I bought a 7, which was the best choice. My toes are right at the end, but the straps are still a little loose, but not too much. I bought these for a trip to DC, during which I expect to do a lot of walking. The trip is scheduled for next week, so I'll write an update. At this point, they do not seem to need any breaking in. The sole is soft but supportive, the straps are very smooth and soft as well. I have already gotten lots of compliments on them!

Ordered these in navy blue, which is a very subdued matte navy -- not burnished as depicted. The strap leather is thin. In wearing the sandals around the house while trying to decide if I wanted to keep them, the straps stretched noticeably, and the shoes started flopping around on my feet; this might not be an issue for someone with a very high arch. The style was really flattering on me, but I found the shoes too casual -- I didn't like seeing the M logo on the straps and "Merrell" written in white on the soles.

Although I've loved my other Merrell's, these were loose with no way to tighten them on my foot. And the brown wasn't the best.

These were cute enough for a trip to Italy I'm planning, but unfortunately, I didn't like the fit. They straps were tight across my feet and didn't look good - I'm also sure that after days of walking, it would be worse and uncomfortable. My foot also felt like it was crooked in the foot bed - not sure if this was because they were also too tight.

I love Merrells, but not this one. Footbed was comfortable, but ran not at wide as standard wide Merrells. Comfortable footbed and support, but ultimately too snug and not very flattering. So they are going back.

Disappointed with this shoe. I was looking for the superior arch support I've gotten with other Merrell shoes but this style had a very soft, non-supported footbed. Had to send them back.

I wanted to love these shoes and I do but with a few caveats. The shoe felt wider than marked and my foot slid around too much; I don't wear a narrow shoe though. I kept them because they are perfect for walking to the gym or at the beach. Be warned, however, that there is no traction at all on the bottom and I have slipped and slid on gravel and damp and wet surfaces. One last thing: if you have high arches, like me, this shoe won't offer much arch support.

Merrell typically has great shoes that help keep my chronic foot pain at bay. Unfortunately, these shoes definitely do not fit correctly due to the back strap being too loose. Otherwise they are attractive and would be comfortable for walking long distances, I believe.

I too will need to return the size 7; originally ordered. This sandal runs very wide and my feet are swimming in the sandal. I may try a size 6 and hope for better results. Will be my first time returning an item to Zappos. I recently ordered 4 items.

I love this style sandal. It's very comfortable and supportive for walking, and looks fairly attractive. Over the past couple of years, I have bought it in several colors. I've had it in black before, and didn't have a problem. This year, however, the black dye 'bled' all over my feet when I wore the sandals in rainy weather. I think Merrell should address this issue.

The sandal is nice leather, well made and good looking; however, I am sending them back due to the wide toe area (I purchased B width). My foot slides down in the front and the sole is a little too flexible for me.

Not too bad for a comfort shoe, but returning because buckle was a true pain to work and leather was loose on my foot with no wear but footbed was right length. Not a shoe designed for me, but may work for others.

The shoe seems to be well made and a good "under the radar" comfort sandal, i.e. not as outdoorsy looking as some and able to be worn with skirts and dresses, at least in a casual setting. For me the sole is actually too flexible, which exacerbates pain I have under the ball of my foot. In addition, after wearing different sandals that adjust in more places, I hardly wear these anymore. I find myself wearing Chacos all the time; they serve basically the same purpose and are much better for my feet. Without my foot problems, though, these would have been a good choice.

I've had mine for a year and I'm a bit disappointed. I don't like the cloth-ish footbed, can't clean it like leather, so you can imagine what it's like after only a few months. I have a very high arch and they are comfortable, but the leather stretches so much (and that happened after only a few weeks) that I can barely keep them on my feet and the leather can un-stitched from the elastic on one shoe. You'd think I'd been wearing them every day! No- only about 20 times. bummer.

These felt so good out of the box, but within a month, they'd stretched out so much that I can barely keep them on my feet. I'm already on the last hole of the strap and the stitching is starting to come undone. Also, not a big fan of the dimpled footbed, it's kind of gross after only wearing a few times.

I have normal, size 8 feet - not too wide, not too narrow. I purchased these for a trip coming up and didn't really try them on until I had no choice but to take them. I wore them, I had no problems, but even in hot weather when your feet swell and get sweaty, these sandals are sloppy on my feet. There is no way to tighten the straps across the instep. They are okay, but I wouldn't purchase another pair.

I was first surprised that the base of the shoes are made of a material similar to Crocs. I expected a sturdier base. I also did not like the buckle being plastic and it had a weird closure. Shoes are very lightweight and not bad looking for using as a travel shoe. They are very comfortable, but do not seem to have much support, especially in the arch where I needed it. I tried wearing the shoe around the house for a few days, and found while my feet did not get tired while on, my feet, calves and back hurt the next morning. This same situation occurred when I wore Crocs for a whole winter two years ago, not realizing that they were the cause of my back pain and Plantar Fasciitis. Once I quit wearing the Crocs, my PF and back problems became much better after a few months. I thought the Merrell Agave would be heavier and have more support. Now, having said the above, please don't let my problems discourage you from buying the shoe, but if you have arch and back problems, think twice! I am returning my Merrell's and perhaps try the open athletic type shoe.

I like these but I definitely don't love them. They are pretty cute for a flat sandal, but they are sloppy wide on my foot and I don't have exceptionally narrow feet. They also have a weird smell. Kind of plastic, like a Barbie Doll or something. They are adequate and they do support my feet and I can wear them all day without my feet getting sore. If I hadn't been in a rush to have some flat, black sandals, I would have returned them. How is that for a lukewarm review?

I may be the party pooper of this group but I have had this shoe for 2 summers and have been fairly disappointed in this sandal. There is very little arch support, which is surprising for a Merrell shoe. Also when walking my foot scoots forward so far that my toes are nearly hanging off the front. I constantly having to move my foot back onto the footbed. I expect better of Merrell. On the upside, it is a fairly comfortable and cool shoe. It is nice enough to wear to a wide variety of occasions -- it's not too sporty or too dressy. Good travel choice if you don't mind the fit issues.

Love everything about this sandal, but size 8 is too short (I usually wear 8.5) so will have to return it. Will order a nine but since the 8 was a tiny bit loose, am not sure the 9 is going to work either. Hope so!
