Loved the styling and the arch support on this sandal. However, it felt loose through the front straps which do not adjust so I had to return it. Also the heel strap was difficult to adjust. The holes were very tight.

I bought this for a Europe trip. I walked several hours a day from walking Las Ramblas in Barcelona to climbing Mt. Vesuvius, Mt. Etna and Pompeii. I walked around the streets and bridges of Venice and these sandals performed very well. In Vesuvius there was just dirt and ash and these sandals did not make me falter. I wore these sandals non-stop for 13 days and sure, it has wear on them. There are threads that are exposed now but I'm sure if I trim them and polish the the leather it will look like new again. I would buy these shoes again if I needed to. If you want to be stylish and still be able to walking around uneven terrain, I would recommend this shoe.

This was a good fit, lengthwise when standing, and I thought a good width (medium) but I found out afterwards that it was too wide for my feet because every step I took, my foot slipped forward and it seems like my toes hang over. I kept them anyway because I thought I could fix the problem by placing a pad that would keep my feet from sliding, but so far no success with that. I have since learned that I have a narrow foot, so my fault for not wearing them around the house long enough to figure that out before I made the next mistake - wearing them outside so I am unable to return them. If you have a medium wide foot, these were comfortable, stylish, and the navy blue is true to its color.

For me, Merrell makes the most comfortable sandals on the market. For the Agave, my issue is not with comfort but with fit. I found the fit over the instep a bit loose, and there is no way to adjust the straps over the instep. I have a high instep and a medium to wide foot, so the looseness surprised me. I kept them anyway. If you have a narrow foot, these sandals are not for you.

Before going on a trip to Maui, I was looking for a shoe that could be worn both on the beach and walking around exploring the island so I wanted style, of course, function with support and comfort. These shoes fit the need for me.

These would be nearly perfect if offered in a wide width. (Depending on style/mfg, I may/may not need wide width. The regular width, only width offered, appeared to be roomy enough, but not so.) The only other issue was that little toes pressed against edge of front straps. I am disappointed to have to return them because the style and support are just what I wanted.

I've owned several Merrell shoes because they fit me perfectly. Overall, I really like them, but I must say that the quality of Merrell has declined over the past couple of years or so. I can see, feel and compare the difference owning several pairs. The leather seems to be a thinned down, thicker, harder leather, so they are a bit stiff. I got a blister walking less than a mile with the one shoe. Everything about them is a little cheaper. I will keep and enjoy them after I break into the leather, but my confidence in Merrell is starting to decline and I've been starting to look for other brands.

Shoes looked good, but not enough arch support for me. I am trying to replace/update the Merrell Via II sandals I purchased in 2010. They fit SO good!

I wanted a good walking sandal that was cute enough to wear with a skirt (unlike athletic sandals) and these seem to fit the bill. These sandals have a comfortable and cushiony foot bed. My only complaint is they rubbed against my pinkie toe on one foot, but the next time I wore them, they were fine. I also ordered the Merrell Mica and the foot bed of that was hard and they weren't as comfortable on the foot.

These are really comfortable and attractive. I wish they came in half sizes though. I usually wear 8s but they are a little small for me in Merrell so I ordered up.

I really like the look of the shoe but I wish it came in a 8.5. The length is a bit to long where I have part of the shoe showing behind my heal. I can wear it on casual occasions, but not if I am going to do a lot of walking because the arch support I need is not there for me.

After trying numerous black comfort sandals I settled on the Merrell Agave. I like the design a lot and though casual, I think they look great with skirts as well as pants/shorts. Comfort wise they have performed well. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and these sandals provide pretty good support. My only complaint is that there were not enough holes in the strap for me to tighten them securely. I ordered my regular size 9 and the shoes fit, but I had to have three more holes put in. This makes the end of the strap extend pretty far beyond the buckle, but it is not really too noticeable. For the price (far less than many sandals I tried) I recommend giving these a try.

Recently I ordered a pair of Merrell's shoes. Unfortunately, when the package arrived, each shoe was a different size. I phoned, and a special order was placed such that the correct shoes arrived the next day. What a service. Thank you Zappos. I shall remain a steady customer.
