Luckily I got to try this in a store just as I was about to order it from Zappos. It is a lovely, well-constructed sandal but it has one issue: you can tighten the buckle behind the heel, but that will not cause the shoe to hug your foot any more snugly. I wear a medium width and have a high arch, but this sandal was much too loose on top of my foot.

Love the shoes! But the buckle is impossible for me to use. I prefer when you use velcro, please keep this in mind. Oh, love your service too!

I am not too thrilled with the style. I wish they were more fashionable. However, these shoes are extremely comfortable, even for my wide feet. Equally important, they are nice and cool for Florida's hot summer days and evenings.

These sandals were very different from other Merrell shoes that I've had (encore breeze and some they no longer make). They have a cushy heel, but zero arch support. I have high arches and my foot did not even touch the center of the shoe. The sole is very flexible, which I find offers less support for my needs. I love Merrell, but not these sandals. So, still trying to find something with arch support. I wear a 9 in closed shoes, ordered an 8 (Merrells run big) and they were still roomy. Very nicely made shoes, though, for people with no foot problems.

Very comfortable and soft leather, but looked and felt like a water sandal. A little too athletic looking for casual shorts and jeans.

I got this shoe because I have been having plantar fasciitis issues and I wanted a shoe that didn't look like it was orthopedic. It serves both purposes quite well. It doesn't have great arch support, but it has some and it looks quite nice. Also, the footbed gives some cushioning.

I already owned and love my two pairs of Merrell Heather sandals and wanted a pair of Merrell sandals with straps. The Agave doesn't have as much arch support as the Merrell Heather sandals, though they have not given me any trouble so far. The back strap hits a little high on back but hardly noticeable. They are a little more dressy than the Heather style too so you can wear them with a casual dress.

Great shoe! This is my second pair of black, although I'm not sure that the first had the name Agave. I also have a dark brown pair and a lighter tan color pair, the latter of which is almost worn out. They've lasted for years as my first pair of black ones did. What I have noticed with this latest purchase of black ones is that they seem slightly more narrow than before. Also be advised, I bought a different black Merrell sandal at the same time as this one, and both are stinky after just a couple of weeks. Oh well, I scrubbed the insole and sprayed with Lysol! Obviously I'm a fan of this shoe, but the odor not so much, hence the 4 stars overall.

The shoe is very well built and generally comfortable with a great sole and arch support. I am a 5.5, and the 5 fit great. However, an inside seam kept rubbing me the wrong way and I had to reluctantly return it.

Although they were my size, they were way too large around the instep of my foot. My foot was slipping all around on the foot bed, so I had to return them. They are really cute, though, and I would have loved to have been able to keep them. Probably not a good choice if you have a fairly narrow foot.

These look very nice on the feet, but don't give you good support. If you have any foot issues like I do then don't bother with these. If you don't have foot problems, then go for it. It is a nice looking sandal.

Loved the comfort and style since normally I wear a width size! The only disappointing problem is trying to reach and get the buckle to go into the hole then slip over to secure it in the buckle. When the body and arms can't stretch in order to reach for the buckle.

So comfortable. Got them because I'm pregnant and wanted some comfy summer sandals. Love them!

Love the shoe, comfortable from the moment I put them on. I was a little disappointed that at the end of the day the bottom of my foot looks dirty. I'm hoping that will stop with more usage.

These shoes are very nice looking and comfortable. They have become the shoes I reach for when I head out. My only recommendation would be to choose your size carefully. Without half sizes, you have to rely on the adjustable strap to make them fit. I ordered up and after getting used to them, they are just fine. They did feel too big the first few times I wore them.

Very comfortable. The only thing is that the holes on the strap were not all poked through.

Comfortable sandal, however, they were very loose, my feet moved around a lot, I feel they were a little too wide, and I wear regular width.

This sandal is very close to perfect is you're seeking (as I was) a casual white leather sandal with decent arch support. When I first put them on, my first thought was that I'd immediately order a second pair to make sure I always had them. After a couple of weeks, though, I've decided to wait a bit. The sandals are still comfortable, but the straps are stretching and the fit loosening. I'd also be happier if the insole wasn't rubbery, since I find that my feet perspire when I walk any great distance in the heat (although the antimicrobial features keeps them from smelling!). Almost perfect, Merrell, but not quite.

Yup, these are the sharpest looking ones I've had in a long time, but beware. You must have a wide foot. There is no way to tighten them up except the heel, but that doesn't tighten the rest of the foot pad. Just beware you better have wide feet. I should have returned them immediately but I just loved the style. Now that I've worn them a week. I wish I had returned them right away. Bummer

I was looking for a sandal that was a little dressier than my Keens or my Eccos. These fit the bill nicely. \r\n\r\nThey don\'t feel quite as secure when I walk, partly because they\'re a little big. They\'re probably true to size. I think a 10.5 would have been just right, but that wasn\'t a possibility. These are comfortable, attractive, and good with skirts. Just what I needed.

I like the shoe. It is very light and comfortable. I don't like that it has a buckle but I slip mine on an and off without using the buckle (but that stretches the strap). It's a cute sandal.

The footbed is very comfortable and molded to your foot. Leather is high quality and shoes are stylish yet solid. I was only disappointed with the width. I wore them a few times and found my feet are sliding around but had already worn them outside so did not think it was fair to try to return. This is just the second pair of shoes I have ever bought online so I would just caution to make sure you like the fit before really wearing them. The shoes themselves are beautiful and high quality.

Really like these sandals. They are cute and comfortable and a very flattering style. I have one picky foot which has been through 2 surgeries and facing a third, so finding shoes that are comfortable can be a challenge. These sandals fit my 'regular' foot perfectly. For the other foot, I am trying to stretch the sandal straps to make it fit a little better. I gave 4 stars because I don't really care for the footbed. I just a personal preference I guess.

Very comfortable sandal. I do, however, wish it was available in half sizes. The size 8 is too big. I returned for a size 7, which I kept, but my toes are at the edge of the sandal, which I don't really like. Size 7 1/2 would be perfect.
