The footbed was great, but the ankle strap was pretty tight. I'm on the narrow side ankle-wise, used the widest buckle, and I thought these would start to feel like they were cutting off circulation after a long day of walking.

I love them!

I have a number of pairs of birks, unfortunately I found that these ran large as compared to my other pairs. I ordered a size smaller and they fit perfect!

Because of the mixed reviews, I ordered two sizes, the 37s and the 38s (I normally wear a US W 6.5-7) and when they arrived I tried the 37s first and found them to be a bit big! So I decided to order the 36s because that’s the size the size guide on the inside of the box said, even though I haven’t worn a US W 5.5 for years! When I received them they fit well, but some of my toes touch the edge.. However, I decided to keep the 36s because of how large the 37s felt and the leather is slightly different on the 36s and is a little more comfortable. I’m not entirely sure they are the tobacco... they look darker.

First, thank you Zappos for another great service! You never disappoint! The sandals? They are half a size larger. I wear size 7.5 and ordered 38. I returned the 38 and ended up getting 37. They are very comfortable as well as stylish. I didn’t have any problems; no blisters and no break in period. They simply look beautiful. Perfect fit, great style, and an incredible comfort!!!

Worth it! All day comfort and SUPER cute. Very little break in, but I've worn birks in the past. I get lots of compliments on them. Confident they'll keep my feet happy & healthy during our 3-week trip to Spain this summer. If you have fat ankles, these will not fit you. I wear them on the second buckle hole to the end, and they fit perfectly. I have avg to skinny ankles.

I returned these for a smaller size. The oiled leather looks lighter in person than in the picture, and I almost wonder if I was sent the tobacco color as it looks more similar to that. I can tell that with the smaller size, these will be quite a comfortable shoe!

I love these. I wore them all last summer and they just got better with time. The bands add a little extra cuteness. I would say that they run true to size maybe slightly large.

I wear a 6 1/2, so normally I would order a size 37. But after reading all the other reviews I decided to go with a 36. They fit perfect! They’re really comfortable and cute too!

The fit of the shoe was true to size. Unfortunately where the straps crossed irritated the skin on my ankle. Perhaps the straps will soften after more use but it will be going back.

I LOVE these shoes! After reading the reviews I decided to go with my normal size in hopes the ankle strap was long enough for my ankles. I normally wear between a 7.5 and 8, ordered my usual 38 and they fit fine!

Super comfy right out of the box! Very feminine style. I am a solid 39 in Birkenstock, and these were true to size. They’ll feel a tad larger however because of the much wider footbed ....but I can tell if I attempted to size down they’d be too small. It’s not the size, just the width to consider. Skinny/very narrow feet might not work in these. But love them overall!!!

I wish it worked out. The shoe style is fantastic!! Sexy yet practical. They were comfortable BUT the company cheaped out on the leather strap and I couldn’t buckle them. Too short. Talk about giving a girl fat ankle complex. Hey, Birkenstock, halla at me when you make a longer strap and I’ll buy them in every color.

I ordered a size down from my usual birks and they fit perfectly (thankfully I read all of the reviews). They do run 1 whole size larger for some reason.

I love these, and the footbed fit and felt great, but the strap wasn’t long enough to go around my ankle.

Straps were too small for my ankle. I am plus size, but have normal size ankles.

These sandals are super cute and comfy. It does getting some use to as the strap around the ankle feels a little weird at first. Overall I am happy with the sandal as it has that gladiator look, but with ARCH SUPPORT :-)

I love my Birkenstock Maryari sandals so I thought these would work for a long day of walking by providing ankle stability as well. However, the straps were slightly uncomfortable and the buckle hit one of my ankles, so I returned them.
